Absolutely wonderful stay at the Port Arthur Motor Inn! The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a trip on the Tasman Island cruise and day of exploring the stunning Port Arthur Historic Site, which is just a short drive away. The location is perfect for anyone looking to explore the area, with beautiful views and peaceful surroundings. The facilities, including the on-site restaurant, were top-notch. Highly recommend staying here if you're visiting the area – fantastic value for money, and we will definitely return!

Parking is very tight at times with small car parks. Overflow parking is available only a short walk away.

The location was amazing, overlooking the Port Arthur historical site. We arrived after reception had closed but it was still easy and straightforward to check-in. We had booked two rooms and were given rooms with a connecting door, which was excellent. The rooms were nice and large, the beds very comfortable, the bathrooms very clean and the shower really good. We had dinner in the restaurant that night. Prices were really good and my sister thought the steak was the best she had in some time, certainly during our time in Tasmania.

If anything, the hotel and facilities looked a little run down, but this did not distract from our stay at all.

Basic accommodation, clean and tidy which met our needs for an overnight stay. Beds were comfortable and shower was lovely. Location was excellent and the restaurant view over the site was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Staff were freindly.

The continental breakfast although the staff did mention what is was however we were already committed due to time restraints. Very simple consisting of some cereal, toast, yoghurt, prunes and apricots as well as tea and coffee. For $15 probably not that bad in the scheme of things, prepare to lower your expectations.

We traveled as a group of 11 with 4 rooms (2 family and 2 queen). The queen rooms had an amazing view over the Port Arthur Historic site and updated bathrooms. The family rooms were two interconnecting rooms, that were very big. While the family rooms were somewhat dated, the whole hotel was really clean. The beds were also very comfortable. We had dinner at the restaurant, and the quality of the food was great. If staying for more than one night, they can give you direct access to and from the hotel into the historic site. Very good value.

The staff seemed untrained and kept having to go to their manager for advice, or made errors that the manager had to later fix up (mainly when dining).

Can't believe I didn't realise that it literally borders the Port Arthur Historic Site! You can literally buy tickets and walk straight into the site from the motel. Accommodation was nothing particularly spectacular, but I mean it had clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and everything worked - what else do you want from a motor inn? Food was pretty good in the bistro, which overlooks the historic site too.

The wifi was iffy, but I don't know what else you can really expect from a motel all the way in Port Arthur.

Solo touring Tasmania by motorcycle, I loved the view, friendly bar and restaurant staff( and other patrons ) and facilities. The food was great, and very reasonably priced. And the restaurant view....amazing! I quickly decided to stay an extra night. A good opportunity to get some washing and drying of clothes done, too. Then I walked down to the historic site and spent a day exploring the ruins and walking the gorgeous coastline of Carnarvon Bay. The water is so clean! After a big day I dropped in to the bar for a few Cascade stouts( great beer ) and a chat with staff and locals, before having another top meal.

I really can't fault anything. As a motorcycle traveller, it's always unfortunate to have to leave my bike out in the rainy weather everywhere I stay...but, the lovely person at the bar who checked me in suggested I park under cover near the laundry...which was greatly appreciated. And I hadn't even asked!

The restaurant was excellent.Food was delish and the serving was very generous 😍 Also, we checked in a bit late and hoped to have dinner at 6pm but we didn't have a booking for the restaurant and it's already fully booked at 6pm.However, the lady who attended to us said she could get us a table for an earlier dinner time 5:30 pm which was totally fine.

The tiles in the shower area seem to have been painted on, and some of the paint was peeling off.

Clean , comfortable, very good value fir money and an excellent location. Older style units on the outside but nothing to dislike on the inside. The owners provided all the little touches that made you feel welcome. Soap, as shampoos, lovelu thick white towels, quality linen, bottled water in the fridge. Port Arthur was 2 mins drive away. In fact the view from the rear cabins was over it. There was also a restaurant on site but we did not use it. Would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Port Arthur.

I loved how friendly the place was and the food was absolutely delicious! I didn’t realise the parmi’s where jumbo, and omg talk about bang for your buck! Never seen anything like it and it was soooo good! Location was incredible, right near the historic site which is why we were there and it was perfect, a small cosy friendly place.

The only down side was the shower was a little small and old, but it really wasn’t a big deal. I adored the room it was so cosy and beautiful.

We really liked the attentive staff. They helped us out a lot with setting up the bbq to use, which was very kind. Perfect location to see port arthur. The inn has a gate that goes directly into the site with your room key, so it was very convenient. The breakfast was cheap, only $12 each.

Nothing comes to mind really. Maybe that except for the bar, there isn't a lounge area for guests to sit inside. But that's really it, everything was great.
