We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom chalets (chalet 27) where the layout and space was so comfortable. There's a washer, dryer and dishwasher in the chalets. The log cabins might be different. The Kitchen had everything we needed. We loved the deck, the spa bath, the comfy beds and especially the views to the water. The chalets are so nice yet suit its natural surroundings. This place is unique and special. Stewarts Bay Beach is calm, white sand and so beautiful. There's a lot of wildlife about especially at dusk and dawn. We liked the fact that we didn't have wifi in our chalet. There's so much to explore, and the reception has a huge library of DVD's for everyone. From the lodge one can walk to Port Arthur, or take a Pennicott Tasman Island cruise. The area is gorgeous. One of our favourite spots on our trip around Tasmania. The restaurant "On the Bay" was fantastic. We ate there for dinner on both nights of our stay. Their kids menu was great and it overlooks Stewarts Bay. The restaurant staff were wonderful and flexible with our picky eater. While we were here, we also visited Port Arthur Lavender cafe for morning tea. It's beautiful. We will definitely come and stay at Stewarts Bay Lodge again in a chalet with water views!

For Cabin 27 the outdoor furniture could do with some varnishing. To make it more luxurious, the lodge could provide bathrobes and a throw in the lounge room.

The resort is perfectly located within walking distance ( about 15mins for able persons) from the Port Arthur Historic Site, or a five minute drive. The cabin was well appointed and very clean with full cooking facilities, fridge, table, chairs(4), TV, DVD, lounge and coffee table. The surrounding bushland setting is magnificent and the bay itself(a short drive required to access by car) is so picturesque and the views out over the bay are spectacular. The bed was good but personally we would have preferred a firmer one. There are BBQ facilities and a children's playground as well as a tennis court on site. The peace and serenity offered here is beyond anything we have previously experienced and know that we will return to this location in the near future.

The GPS information is difficult to follow when trying to identify the entrance road to the resort. Signage, although large, is not prominent enough for a first time visitor to sight on approach from either direction. The entrance is right beside the General store/service station and the driveways are almost shared. Advertising this as a marker point would be a much better way of identifying it in my opinion.

Access & accommodation were very pleasant. We appreciated how politely and efficiently the office staff addressed our notification of a TV fault and a poor shower head fitting.

The counter staff at the restaurant desperately need "Customer service training". We weren't impressed with the off-handed, even rude, manner our request to sit at a window seat was received then begrudgingly dealt with. That stated the service staff at the restaurant were excellent. Other than that, we felt the food and beverage prices were over priced - I mean $6 and oyster - Really?

Last minute availability. I was attending the Tasman Art & Craft Exhibition as a stall holder . I normally would stay with family but due to unwellness I had to look elsewhere. Can always rely on SBL to fit us in for work or pleasure. The restaurant was also open all weekend . Menu, atmosphere and local selection better than ever

Very grateful for this last minute booking. However the price point for a small one bedroom cabin was perhaps more on the weekly luxury chalet price range and rated to cover public holiday and last minute booking . A little token like a free drink voucher or bottle of wine/beer from the reception gift shop could have softened that sting of the cost plus shown customer appreciation. Small gestures go along way

The location was fabulous to the attractions that we wanted to visit. The bush setting of the chalets were lovely and well presented. The restaurant was great.

The bedding. There are no covers on the doona, just a top and bottom sheet covering the doona. It always makes me skeptical whether or not it is washed between patrons/ stays etc. I also don’t like being asked to load and run the dishwasher prior to leaving or be faced with an additional charge. You pay for the chalet which is quite expensive for what it is. I would expect it to be covered in the cost of the accommodation. In addition to the above there is no daily house keeping unless staying for 4 days or more I believe. You should have the option for housing keeping or not. As above it should be covered in the cost. No wifi.

Stunning location, we had the beach to ourselves and the trees make the lodgesvery private. The staff were extremely helpful. We forgot to repack our fridge stuff and they put it in the stand one until we could collect it. The lodges are well-equipped with good heating and cooling, comfortable and cosy, nice bathrooms. They have recycling bins for recyclables

Nothing to complain about other than its easy to miss the road in, we went past it the first time as it looks like a drive way.

Beautiful located and positioned in the landscape. The cabins are well hidden and masked by retaining the vegetation over the property when viewed from Stewarts Bay Beach. It was a short walk with our back backs to and from Pt Arthur from the Three Capes walk.

We’ll positioned, close to The Three capes walk if you don’t have a car, beautiful restaurant where we treated ourselves and the family after our walk. Clean, comfortable cabins where we could cook our own food and wash our clothes without leaving the cabin. Thanks for a great stay!

Lovely bush setting in my own log cabin. Sky lights to see the trees, balcony across the front looking over the water view. The guest lodge offered very good food and bar service. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Loved it there. Would have liked to stay longer.

Breakfast was not offered initially. I found out later that they offer breakfast packs but it was a bit of a secret. This should be made more clear in booking and or clecking in.

Beautiful location , lovely cabins

I was curious to discover my sister stayed two nights in cabin booked for four people and paid $460. Per night . I booked for two people even though it ended up just being myself . But paid $324 for one night for one bedroom cabin. I did question with Staff and l was told by booking on line l ended paying $50 extra. As this was for commission. ? I live in Hobart and booked on line . I wasn’t under the impression when booking l would need to pay commission.
