We highly commend the lady named Mary at the Reception. She warmly welcomed us and gave that initial impression with great regard. She is the best definition of what hospitality is. The ladies at the gym/pool reception were also wonderful. In fact all of the staff up to the pub have been so nice and made our stay extra wonderful. Our room is lovely and so comfortable that we all slept like a log. Pool area and its temperature is perfect. Loved the fact there is a lifeguard on duty. Our kids enjoyed their time in this property.
Nothing really, but would be great if you'd put a couple of bottled water and shampoo in the room. But it is not a deal breaker.

I was travelling with my adult children and I'd booked two rooms, one for my son and his wife, one for myself and my daughter. During booking, we had only been able to secure two double rooms. On arrival, Nicky was staffing reception and she was able to reallocate rooms so that my daughter and I didn't need to share a bed, but instead we were given a family room. Our rooms were comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and the gym. The bar area was busy and noisy (Euros football on TV) but none of the noise reached our rooms. Dining room staff were helpful in meeting my dietary requirements at breakfast. Lovely ESPA toiletries in the rooms.
Nothing - we were very satisfied with the experience.

The staff were amazing, from the bar staff to the chamber maids and especially sallie on reception she was so kind thoughtful and extremely Professional sallies is definitely an asset to your hotel if i was in this business i would steal her. jenny who I spoke to on the phone when I was checking on my room it was her (anniversary also) It was our anniversary and we couldn't belive it she arranged a bottle of prosecco and a card I can honestly say I am a fussy person, and the hotel was wonderful I would recommend anyone who wants a break go there
Everything was 100% great

Bar , restaurant good. Leisure, swimming pool etc excellent. Parking good. Staff friendly & helpful. Food in restaurant good range. I like the hotel, it's our second stay, but some areas need improvement, see below.
No fridge in room. So difficult for a diabetic with medicine. No safe for valuables. Starbucks no hot food, oven broken for duration of our visit. When Starbucks closed (xmas day), I couldn't get a coffee unless you had the breakfast in the restaurant. On NY Eve, there was no celebration for families, so we stayed in a different hotel which catered for families. Otherwise, I would have stayed in the Village Hotel. Some of the food in restaurants is expensive versus other establishments, e.g., Steak £30 & quality okay but not top notch.

Breakfast was fabulous and the staff so friendly in the restaurant. We loved the pool, especially for the kids! The room was great for the family although could have done with some robes to get down to the pool in but appreciate it’s not a spa hotel.
Blackout blinds leave a big gap of light so I was woken with that from the main bed each day, fully fitted blackout curtains would do a better job. Rooms and pool area were so incredibly hot, it was unbearable at times and it wasn’t a hot time - only 21 degrees and raining even though it was August

Absolutely loved our stay. The staff was incredibly friendly from start to finish, the kind of welcome that makes you excited for your stay:) Ruth and lynn in the bar/restaurant area went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome. The food exceeded expectations of your average pub restaurant, it was one of the nicest burgers we have eaten and the price is also great! It’s the first time we have been to Wirral/Liverpool area and we can’t wait to return. The rooms had lots of space, amazing comfy queen size bed with a large flat screen tele to watch! Thankyou so much for a wonderful stay and a special Thankyou you ruth and lynn for making it extra special:).
The hotel is large and a room closer to the main part of the hotel would have been better better for us due to being smokers and it was a long walk back and forwards.

Lovely exterior and atmosphere - good vibes, also gets busy with locals as it's their gym and pub (especially during football matches)! The room had a good size and facilities are great. Breakfast hours are very good and the options are tasty. Pub & Grill menu is delicious as well and well priced - make a reservation though, especially if there's a Mancunian match on! Location is a bit away from the town, but next to an Aldi and a 15-20min walk away from a retail (industrial) park.
I think I heard the tennis court in my room, not the nicest sounds to fall asleep too... As well as people yelling and screaming somewhere outside at night (past midnight). It also got quite hot in the room, with no option to open the window or cool the room otherwise. And lastly there were no plugs near the nightstands, so I had to charge my powerbank so I could charge my phone (also alarm clock) within reach of the bed.

My husband and I have stayed all over the world, and we can honestly say the staff at the Village in Bromborough are the friendliest team we have ever met, from the minute we walked in, everyone we met were all lovely and friendly.
Only a few little niggles but we only had our towels changed once, and that was the morning after we had arrived the night before. We thought it may have been because it was the Christmas period, but it didn't spoil our stay. We were above a door that went into the kitchens, so everytime someone walked in and out we could hear the bang in our room.

I have stayed in Village hotels before. I usually find that they have good service, clean rooms, good food and bar.
When I arrived, check I was easy. I took my bags up to the room and then went down to the bar for a drink and something to eat. The restaurant bar area looked unkempt and tired. There was no Guineas on draft which I was looking forward to and very little ales available in draft. Food came quick though, nice and hot. Good meal.

Breakfast was really lovely and the staff during breakfast very friendly and attentive - nothing was too much trouble. Our Room was a good size, the bed was comfortable and we were kindly placed in a room that was in a quiet area of the hotel, which was much appreciated, given that it was the Christmas party season. Meet & greet on arrival was lovely & cheery. All staff in the hotel were super friendly.
Room Service - cups not cleaned & bed not made - could have done with 2 hand towels instead of 1, but I am sure if we had asked, you would have supplied.
