The rooms were comfortable and well furnished. The direct access to the central courtyard was a nice addition. The design of the hotel with the arches made it feel less like a generic chain and more like an upscale boutique stay. The lobby was nicely laid out and I appreciated that there was a bar and restaurant, especially since the hotel was not really in a walkable part of the city (though there are places a short drive away). The pool and hot tub aren't super big, but they're nice to have (especially in the summer, I'm sure). All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel and would stay here again!
The inner courtyard was under construction while we were there which was a bit of a bummer, but improvements have to be done sometime I suppose! It looked like they were putting down new tile pavers, preparing to add more landscaping, and possibly a water feature. I'm sure it will be nice when it's completed and feel like a bit of an oasis in the center of the hotel.

Very central location for going downtown or north. It's very easy to access the highways. Love the recent renovations/updates, which are very comfortable and contemporary. Decent food options in the area, as well as Target/grocery stores. Self parking was super easy - go to level 1 (not lobby/ground), and the parking elevator will take you to your floor. Our room had two doors, one from the interior hallway and one from the exterior courtyard walk (see photo) - it was helpful to have both.
On the renovation flip side, parts of it were slightly noisier (in the courtyard and above us on 6?), but the front desk staff let us know in advance and told us to contact them if it was an issue. The pool wasn't heated/felt cold (late March) and the spa/hot tub was a bit warmer, but not hot. There weren't any towels by the pool 2 out of 3 times we visited. The restaurant was lacking staff in the mornings during the busy period. Tables weren't cleared and it took a long time to get seated (we gave up and went elsewhere once day).

The breakfast was good. I ordered off the menu and that was better. The server was super nice. Nothing original or surprising on the buffet; however, there are the expected staples.
The server, although very nice, was clearly at max capacity and there were only enough patrons to equal around ten percent of the available space. I think this is a potential for improvement on the speed and quality of overall service that can be provided.

The room was nice and the cookies were yummy. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The parking garage was dark and far away, especially as a lone woman. Just not a safe feeling. There is also a fee to park which we didn’t know about. The room was FAR away from the front of the hotel and had a deserted feel. The lobby was nice. I was with my son who had recently had a medical emergency so I was by myself walking around a lot (too far for him to walk from the garage). They are currently doing construction as an FYI.

I did not like that no complimentary coffee was provided for guests. That's the least they could do to keep the guest happy. We had to pay for a cup of coffee which a lot of hotels provide for free to guests.
No complimentary coffee was provided for guests!! This would have helped especially because we had a conference, this would have helped instead of standing in line to pay for a cup of coffee!

It was very beautiful, well kept, the room was very big and comfortable. We came to Austin that day to support friends who lost a family member to suicide. The family member was part of the LGBT community. When we arrived and checked in, we were greeted by an employee who was wearing a rainbow pin and it made us immediately feel comfortable during this hard time. Thank you.

Nice set up pool etc
Breakfast should've been complementary parking cost $20 I couldn't get from the parking area directly to my hotel lobby. I had to go down into the hotel when I should be able to just go right from the garage into my corresponding floor for the hotel.

The breakfast hot, plentiful and reasonably priced. The location was easily accessible. The staff as very pleasant and eager to assist.
I didn't like that Booking.com had never sent my reservation to the property and when I called I was told that there was an error but I was never notified. I was at risk of not having a room to stay in.

Staff in general! I would highlight Jackie on the Front Desk and a kind lady on the Restaurant. ps: There is a beautiful/amaizing Janis Joplin painting on the aisle between parking lot and hotel entrance! Spend some seconds checking it out!!
The property is old but it is in very good shape. New painting, carpet, furniture and etc

It is a very nice property, a good location, great common areas. Amiable staff. Rooms are pretty standard for a hotel, however, they are spotless and everything is in working condition
We stayed there on the night of the solar eclipse, so prices were over the roof. Hopefully, this is not a normal situation.
