The location is the main attraction… Situated at a beautiful estate this hotel allows you to slow down and take a step back from a busy day. The rooms are simple but really sufficient. Staff is kind and helpful and parking is convenient. The hotel is a bit further away from the city center and there are very little facilities on site.

It’s not a negative but again, the hotel is simple in terms of facilities and a bit further away from the city center. If that’s okay for you then this is a great hotel to stay!

Fantastic location with a pleasant walk across the park to the railway station into the city. Easy access to the motorway as well for travel further afield. We stayed 5 nights and it was perfect for that. Really peaceful quiet location. Parking on site. Having breakfast in a historic building. Helpful staff, we pointed out a problem with a squeaky door and it was fixed that day. Breakfast was good with a wide choice. Italian restaurant just a short walk away for evening meals. With a Copenhagen Card we could get public transport and entry to pretty much every museum, castle etc we wanted to, not just in the city but in the whole region. It was especially value for money for several days.

Only minor things, breakfast on most days was in a basement bar rather than the usual room and it could have done with more tables with normal height chairs rather than bar stools. We had to hide our cups each day to stop the cleaners taking them away - they were not always replaced when they did - and there was only a small and very random tea selection in the room, could have a bigger choice and replenish it for guests staying more than 1 night. But it was great to have a kettle, we did bring our own teas so all fine.

I liked the surroundings, the beautiful park and forest around were astonishing. The breakfast was very good and the room as well was beautiful. The main building and the room building were also beautiful.

It's 10-12 minutes away from the closest S-train station. It may not sound like a lot, but if you have to traverse the park/forest, particularly if you carry your luggage, it can feel like a long stretch.

The beautiful setting, as well as the authentic buildings, make this hotel one on its own. Our room was great, with a comfortable couch to lounge in. The breakfast in the castle was bountifull, and the rooms where we could sit were luxurious. The huge gardens, which are also open for locals to walk their dogs, are exceptional. You will never find this type of hotel when going to the big hotel chains!

Reasonably basic, but perfectly adequate. The location is beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful.

A small refrigerator and an iron and ironing board in the room would be welcome. There is really nothing close to the hotel in terms of shopping or restaurants, nor is there a restaurant at the hotel, although the complimentary breakfast is quite satisfactory. So it’s perhaps not really a business hotel unless you have your own car. However as a weekend getaway it’s really rather special.

Breakfast was a pleasure.

Arrival at 18.10 pm was scary. Dark cold January, early evening, little light, confusing with many buildings, no one there to greet one, and main door not possible to open. The box with the key was frozen. I would not have made it inside if I had not stopped a car by chance which was on its way out. I was the only guest arriving and that way of running a reception was not impressive.

The breakfast inside the castle was outstanding! It was the best breakfast we've had in Denmark in the most beautiful setting! I highly recommend just for the breakfast alone.

It would have been nice to have access to ice, and more information inside the room regarding breakfast. I only knew to go to the castle because I went there and read the sign on the door.

Location quiet and secluded. Breakfast very nice. Staff very friendly.

Price too high for no elevator, attic room, no mini-frig, no wine glasses, and reception desk not open. Is this a hotel or an AirBnB?! Some literature on the surrounding area would have been helpful. Yucky art in room.

The location is far from Copenhagen but super nice area. A beautiful park and calm neighborhood.

The e tire structure is a bit old but well maintained. There room was a bit dirty (we found an ear plug between the beds) and the toilet has a curtain, no Glassdoor.

Lovely estate and location. Very green with beautiful history and access in and out of Copenhagen.

All wonderful but note these are quite basic but very practical and functional rooms and it's not staffed after the castle closes at around 5pm.
