I stayed in a dorm room for 8 nights, I had a wonderful time. Ungasan is in the middle of Uluwatu, so it’s not very walkable but is a more affordable stay. Mangga Wangga was the perfect place to rest and socialize. The garden ambience and seating was lovely to enjoy, they have real grass, nice lights. I used the area for yoga and to read. The kitchen was simple but enough. It was a place to socialize with other guests and staff. There’s only a few dorm rooms and the rest is private, I try to find places like this because as a quiet solo traveler I want some social opportunity without any party scene. I get the perks of a more luxury stay like the garden and pool, on a budget. Uluwatu is a surf/resort destination so most guests seemed to stay in at night. Staff were so friendly and kind. Room and bathroom were cleaned daily, they even folded our bedding. Can’t recommend this place more!

Lovely pool and communal areas, used before check in. Bed was comfortable and room was tended to daily (bathroom cleaned etc). Towel provided. Staff were helpful and friendly. Kitchen and fridge available, filtered water fountain, place to leave luggage in reception area. Easy to get a grab into the main areas for shops and restaurants (approx 15 min ride), places around for breakfast, laundry etc just a short walk. Small place for coffee on site. There were 2 tiny kittens and mum cat around when I stayed which I spent a long time cooing over. Overall really comfy good value stay, would come back again

No curtains on the beds but not a huge issue as stayed in female only dorm. No locks on the toilet or shower doors, and toilet doors have been installed so close to the toilet, there is no space to sit down. I am only 5ft 2 and had to sit side saddle, or keep door open 😂 only one locker in the room actually locked with the key.

The price quality ratio is good, that is for sure. The reception guy who knows English is very kind and helpful. Warm shower and clean bathrooms. The pool is really nice and location is good. Good lockers (can't fit a big backpack but for smaller items seem reliable)

There shouldn't be staff without ANY English skills! No curtains in the beds and not all lamps worked, these would really make a huge difference to the dorms. You can't sit on the toilet seat and close the door - the door is way too close to a normal length person. You are 20m from a temple that had a very very loud ceremony until midnight one night I stayed (Saturday night), earplugs helped nothing!

Pool was clean and had nice seating around. There was also a bean bag area to chat with other guests. Dorms were clean and simple but had everything you need. Provided hot showers with soap and shampoo.

Towels weren’t clean and dorm lockers were very flimsy. There were mosquitoes in the dorm room and the aircon was ineffective. Toilet door was so close to the toilet we had to use it with the door open.

Staff were super friendly. Big garden and pool area to relax at. Bed was comfy but a bit noisy. The location was wonderful for me. Lots of good food around walking distance and not a far drive from many of the beaches. Would definitely stay again. My family ended up coming to stay and upgraded to Villa of 1 night. The manager and the staff were very helpful with this.

The bathroom was a bit small. Other than that, I have nothing else bad to say.

The pool was amazing! Always filtered water avail from the kitchen, hot and cold! and coffee and tea was a nice touch. Staff were so lovely and friendly <3

The beds in the dorm were really noisy every time someone moves. should be upgraded. also the mattresses were not comfortable. Bathroom toilet and shower doors are kinda see through? weird especially in the mixed dorm...

Location is quite good,not too far from the main street where you can find heaps of restaurants. Also you can get to the beaches 10-15 mins by bike. FYI- for those who scared gecko. there was a gecko always stay in the bathroom almost everyday ( I stayed there 10 nights) However, staff was really nice to help me chase it away a couple times.
