The Point Hotel was far more impressive than I was expecting. All staff, front desk, restaurant and housekeeping were super friendly, professional and welcoming. As a former hotel manager myself, in London, I would have been super proud to have had them on my team. The room was spacious and comfortable with great views on the eastern side. The bed was perfect for a good night sleep and bathroom spacious. The restaurant "Lamberts" was wonderful. The food was superb and the staff amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

Bathroom had a bath shower combo which was a little difficult to access as I have a slight mobility issue with my legs, but this was totally my fault for not mentioning in advance. I suggest if you do have mobility issues to be sure to advise in advance and see if a walk-in shower is an option. I did not bring this to their attention so not sure if they actually have them available.

I have stayed at The Point many times over the years and never had any real problems although I would say that the Breakfast off the Menu, whilst acceptable, was not always the best part of the stay. How good it was to see that they have introduced one of the best buffet breakfasts I have experienced. The range of food and choices was excellent and overall great value for money. It was my motivation for writing this review and I hope they get many more positive comments about the breakfast so it there to stay.

It would be good if guests could get more opportunity to visit the rooftop bar. I have managed to gain entry once or twice to experience the great views but if nearly always seems to be booked out for private functions. Maybe if a section could be left aside or something but it nshould be available for guests more often in my opinion

Beds were so comfortable, even better than my own bed. Excellent sleep! Work desk in room was fantastic set up with easy to access power outlets. Courtesy bottled water was provided to guest.

The bedroom was very cramped. Power outlet was behind the bed so difficult to access and the bed would the push into the plug potentially bending the connection cable. Power board might have been better option. Unfortunately during heavy rain on the Saturday our window leaked, making curtains wet and the window frame area, luckily we noticed it and it was attends to promptly.

Good central, near city location. Attractive rooms with good bathrooms, excellent shower. Cleanliness was very good. 24 hour reception and room service available with very good on-site restaurant and bars. The hotel has attractive architecture. Nice pool. There is a small gym with cardio equipment.

It is what I expected from a previous 5 or near 5 star hotel - now somewhat dated. It appears to have been built around, lost some of the views. There is a busy highway adjacent, with my room having significant road noise - I travel with ear plugs and slept with no problems using them. Level of maintenance in the room was similarly 4 star. No weight training equipment in gym.

1) I loved how central this hotel is located. 2) I truly enjoyed the bath (haven’t had one in almost 20 years). 3) the balcony suite was truly amazing. 4) the staff (reception, restaurant, housekeeping) were truly beyond words perfect.. they were sp knowledgeable and so helpful. 5) the chefs truly know what they are doing as the room service food that was available was delicious. 6) who ever created the beverage list needs to be thanked as the wines were on point and delicious. 7) reception staff helped so much in being able to keep the same room for the extra nights stay.

Honestly nothing I found was flawed in any sense.

The location is perfect. Very close to everything- especially the water taxi station to go everywhere in the city. The bed is so comfortable, with great pillows and nice towels. The hotel is kept very clean and the shower is wonderful. The best part of this hotel though is the staff. EVERYONE you come in contact with kindly greets you and they do everything they can do to make your stay an exceptional one. This is our second stay at this hotel and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else!!!

The hotel is very cosy and comfortable. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Excellent service. The hotel offers self-service guest laundry at no cost. We had a quiet and restful stay. The housekeeping staff also cleaned up the room daily even though we did not put the tag to clean the room. Appreciate the proactive service. Though, location might be a little out of the way to cross over to the other side of the city. However, travelling around is still possible via Uber cars. It's definitely a relaxing place to stay. Strongly recommend!

I got a spacious room in a 5 star hotel in central Brisbane (Kangaroo Point), for less than I've paid for some ordinary motel rooms. (I think it must have been a slow time for the hotel.) It was a very nice room, very nice bathroom, reasonably quiet, even though there was a busy road outside.

Curiously the fridge didn't have a freezer, so I couldn't freeze my gel packs that I use to keep things cool while travelling. There was a list of things in the fridge or on a counter that would be charged to your room if you consumed them, which were quite expensive, such as chips (crisps), chocolate bar, soft drinks, beer, spring water. I think this might be standard practice for this type of classy hotel, but that doesn't make it nice.

I cannot say enough about what a wonderful stay we had at the Point Brisbane Hotel. It was a very nice property – kept immaculate, with nice size rooms, a sitting area, and balcony that overlooked the river. The bed, linens and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size with a great shower and hairdryer. The room had a nice fridge, and also a safe. Also, present on property is a wonderful pool that was nicely shaded. This was wonderful with the heat of the sun in Brisbane. They had a nice workout room, free covered parking, and complementary laundry, with soap supplied. The hotel just offered so many nice amenities. But above and beyond, I must mention the staff! They above all, made this the most wonderful hotel stay -I think we’ve ever had, and that is a big statement because we travel a lot. I want to mention a few of them here because they truly went above and beyond. First, we were so impressed with the hotel manager, and housekeeping supervisor. We had a small concern when we were there and they both made it a priority to address it and made a point to follow up on it-which was much appreciated. Ravi, Juan, Alex, Joe and Imogene were just wonderful at the coffee bar. They were so kind, professional, and made such an effort that make sure we had all we needed. Also Ben at the desk equally gave superb service. I learned the hotel is family/privately owned. It is very apparent they take pride in what they offer and their efforts made our stay fabulous!!

The bed was super comfy and the place was nice. We enjoyed our stay here. Having the cafe downstairs was very convenient as shops are a bit of a walk away. It has free parking which was great.

The apartment was a bit older which I wasn’t expecting but it was still nice. The mini bar and cafe seemed a bit more expensive than necessary. Location is great with a car or if you like to scooter around but cafes and shops are a bit further away if you’re walking. Parking is tight if you have a bigger car. Street noise is loud outside but muted well with the balcony doors.
