We stayed in the Norwich room which is roughly a 3minute walk from the main b&b in the brewery house annex. The room was extremely spacious having the main room with super king bed and a smaller attached room that our son slept in with the bathroom there. This room was dog friendly which was wonderful too as our 10 month old pup was made to feel as welcome as us with much attention and head scratches from staff. Breakfast was exceptional, no request was too much trouble especially as we wanted to sit outside on the patio beside the river. The sausages were great quality and very meaty and were one of my favourite parts of breakfast. My son meanwhile loved his plate of bacon and hashbrowns. Another great aspect of the b&b is that you can hire a row boat or swan pedalo to explore the river. We chose the row boat (£15 for a leisurely half hour) and were allowed to take our dog out on the water too. The b&b is also perfectly located for transport being less than a 10minute walk to Brandon train station. The b&b owner Matt was lovely and cheery throughout our stay as were all staff. They made us feel very welcome, we will definitely return again as it was very good value for money.

The responsiveness of the host before arriving. The arrival we received from the host, bearing it mind it was about 9:30 at night. The host gave us an upgraded room as we'd travelled 3 hours to get there and it was a lovely room. The quality of the breakfast was good. Having an Nespresso machine in the room was good. A fan was on in the room which helped with the warm weather.

When we went down for breakfast, even though our order for tea and coffee was taken, it didn't arrive; I went up and made my own tea. Had to order coffee 2-3 times before it arrived. We also had to prompt for our breakfast order to be taken and again for the toast that we'd ordered with breakfast. Everyone seemed to come down at the same time, so I think it was just bad timing. It didn't spoil anything as we were not in a rush. The radiator in the hallway near our room was on, bearing in mind the weather was nice, it made that area very warm.

Lovely relaxing setting by the river. We stayed in the annexe across the road from the main building. Nice room, comfortable bed and peaceful. Access to a large garden where you can have a walk and sit on the bench watching the ducks and swans swim. If you go, book with breakfast, you won't regret it. Fantastic friendly service and great selection of food. A good choice of fruit and yoghurt to start with then your cooked breakfast. All whilst you sit by the river. Staff very welcoming. In the evening we went to a modern restaurant just up the road, Valentino's, and had a lovely dinner. We only stayed for one night but had a very relaxing time. There is a massive country park 5 minutes drive away which we didn't have time to explore but maybe next time.

Absolutely fantastic! Great location, very helpful friendly welcoming staff, the breakfast in the main hotel was fantastic with plenty of choice from cooked to cereal, fruit and yogurt. Great value for money! We hired the Swan Paddle Boat which was well worth hiring, we had a lovely coffee and cake by the river after again fantastic service from the lovely young lady . The annexe was perfect for us girls! It was clean, tidy, with plenty of tea, coffee and sugar, WiFi was great too and the beds were comfortable too and plenty of towels. We had a great weekend! We loved it so much we've booked to stay here again next year 😊!

Disadvantages: Privacy issue with bathroom in the Annexe. It really does need a blind at the bathroom door you clearly see through if someone is on the toilet or in the shower. We put a towel up at the door to give us girls privacy from each other. The handwash, shampoo and shower gel wasn't topped up and it was very low. Road noise (but you are on the main road so you do get through traffic, it's definitely something to take into consideration for us we didn't have too much road noise but this was weekend).

Free upgrade to a room more as we expected and thought we'd booked!!! Lovely big bed. Beautiful shower room. Friendly staff.

There are two buildings for this hotel, the main one is next to the river and an annexe across the road where the guests with animals are accommodated. Be careful what you book as the descriptions were not clear to us. The email we received from the hotel before arrival was not a scam as I had thought!!! Read the small print and, if you don't want to be with the animals don't book the standard double!!

We stayed in the annexe. Rooms were nice, modern standard and clean. We didn't book breakfast. Rooms here give you access to a small communal kitchen so we able to use the fridge and grab some plates and stuff for the snacks we had with us. There's an Aldi store 100m away which might also be useful. Parking is nearby across the garden. overall, great value. I'd stay again.

There was an interconnecting door between our room and the next and we would have preferred a visible lock rather than just a chair across the door. It could have been locked but I didn't try it as there was someone next door with the TV on. I put my faith in the chair for the night! I can imagine some might feel a bit vulnerable with the current arrangement. Just put bolts on both sides of the door. It's easy fix and that's my only gripe.

Quick and very easy check in ...our ground floor room had direct access to the car park and garden. Room was spotlessly clean ....bed linen was of a good quality and the bed itself was very comfortable. Hadn't realised the hotel had a small garden bar which was a lovely surprise as the weather was fine and we were able to enjoy a very relaxed evening in the lovely riverside garden. Matt the owner was a very attentive host and made us feel welcome and at home. Breakfast was delicious ...lovely fresh fruit as well as the plentiful cooked food. The hard landscaping in the garden was beautifully done and will be a superb feature when the next phase is fully finished.

We arrived to a very warm & friendly greeting from reception. Our room was immaculate, decorated to a high standard & very comfortable. We had a beautiful view out of our back door looking over the river Ouse. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, cooked to a very high standard & both the waitresses & chef couldn't do enough for us. I would highly recommend this B&B to any of my friends & family.

The only thing that could have made our stay even more wonderful would have been if the renovations taken place out the back were finished & we could have sat out & enjoyed the beautiful river scene. But we understand there is never a good time to renovate & once the works are complete the area will look stunning. It didn't spoil our stay.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were in the budget quadruple room (2 adults and 2children) and it felt spacious and comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean. We were there to enjoy walking and the hotel is just 20mins walk from the marvellous Brandon Park. It is also just 10mins by car from Thetford Forest High Lodge. This was brilliant.

I would have liked a glass or metal kettle in the room as the plastic one is outdated with a rusty heating element and this types of kettles leak plastic in your water when heated. I didn't have tea or coffee because of this, even though there was a nice selection of teas and coffees in the room.

Matt was a friendly host. The room was like a boutique hotel. I could not fault it. The breakfast the next morning was free, delicious and served with a smile. Car parking at the door was free. If the weather had been better, I could have taken advantage of the lovely seating areas beside the river. There are two buildings to this hotel and I stayed in the main part. If you are visiting this area, please consider staying at this hotel.

Friday afternoon traffic - although this is hardly the hotel's fault!
