In an amazing location with a supremely alpine feel, unbeatable view of Mont Blanc, away from the main road and plenty of space. Watching the sun rise over the mountains in the morning, and bring the valley to life, was simply superb.

We did have a an issue with a desert containing chestnut (marron) being served to someone with a tree nut allergy. This was actually after the staff had identified, when made aware of the allergy, that the guest's first choice of desert would contain nuts and providing the menu to select an alternative.The issue with the second choice was noticed by the guest, and serious harm avoided, but it did make what had been a very enjoyable dinner a scary experience. The staff were keen to understand what had happened, very apologetic and promised to review their procedures.

I cannot say enough good things about this incredible lodge. The pictures on the website are beautiful, but when you arrive it is even better! We were greeted by a lovely young lady who oriented us to the lodge and gave us great advice on things to do in the area by asking what our sightseeing preferences were. We booked a room facing Mont Blanc with a balcony. We had an incredible straight on view of the mountains and the village. We could barely leave our balcony the view was so perfect. The lodge has a restaurant. We ate there both evenings and the food, presentation and service were extraordinary. We did not participate in the full breakfast, but instead had coffee in one of the lovely sitting rooms off the bar. Parking was directly in front of the lodge. One thing we did not know is they offer a free rail pass which takes you to many of the close by cities, including Chamonix. The only negative about this beautiful mountain lodge was having to leave. If you are visiting this area, and looking for a mountain experience, I strongly recommend Les Campanules.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the location was excellent, and the communal areas - garden, restaurant, bar - were all great. We loved having a drink outside while enjoying the view. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent. We loved the balcony in our room - an amazing view on the Mont Blanc side.

The bathroom floor could have been a little cleaner (although I am fussy) and the decor was a bit tired although the room was perfect for what we needed. Hairdryer was terrible though! Breakfast was good although relatively expensive.

It's a simple yet really pleasant hotel. Everything was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The dinners in the hotel restaurant were good. What is, of course, the greatest advantage of this place is Mont Blanc and the mountains.

This place still has some charm for me, but unfortunately the rooms in my opinion already need renovation. The breakfast was okay (probably up to common standards in France), but I must admit that in such a place, I would expect, for example, slightly better coffee and higher quality products.

Amazing view from the room's balcony and bed room, facing the snow mountain and villages in the front. Both day time and night time views are stunning. Les companules' reception area is specially nicely decorated with beautiful mountain view, very chicly decorated with a blend of modern chicness with traditional alpine wood theme, some local animals deer pictures and statues. Nice furniture with log fire, beautiful Beds are comfortable, bath is very fast and very nice despite a bit old. Excellent breakfast including bacon, egg and the whole lot. Beautiful restaurant area always full during the night. I can see a very large family gathering/lounge room on the second floor although we did not use it Staff are outstandingly friendly and easy to communicate, they offer freshly made crepes in the reception area and Gluwein to serve good prices. Their restaurant menu is outstanding although we did not try, very good price at 20 euro for 2 course dinner including guinnie fowl steaks and sea bass etc. But their local specialty food is more expensive than town restaurants. 33 euro per person for fondu and 27 euro per person for raclette.

Room size a little bit small, room facilities not very new and modern but I guess ski hotels are all like this. Room cleaning is done upon request so if you forget to tell reception in the morning then there is no cleaning. No fridge in the room.

Welcoming staff and lovely lounge/bar area. Great location off motorway for Mont Blanc tunnel early next day (avoiding the queues!). On site parking. View of Mont Blanc from room. Very comfortable beds. Small family room with two teens but perfect for a stopover. Ten minutes drive to Chamonix centre. Lovely dinner and breakfast- reasonable value. Would definitely stop here again.

Walk to Les Houches steep with no pavement much of the way so didn’t attempt it. Would have liked to use gym and spa but not at c. €35 pp per hour!

The location, plenty of parking, very nice lounge and outside area. Staff very helpful. Good coffee. Great views. Comfortable beds. Hot showers.

Breakfast average at a very high price. I paid less for a much better breakfast in Switzerland. Very outdated rooms, ceiling tiles half fallen, lots of loose ones, signs of leaks on the ceiling, horrible doors, old beds, worn down uncomfortable chairs. The balcony woodwork not maintained, my son had 4 splinters in his hand from touching the balcony handrail just once. This place is in great need for a massive revamp, the pictures are not a true reflection of the reality and it is a great contrast with the great comfort of the lounge spaces.....

Absolutely stunning location overlooking Mont Blanc. I recommend paying the extra for a balcony and Mont Blanc facing room. I didn't initially but was fortunate to upgrade to one and its definitely worth it. The staff are friendly and helpful. The lady who checked us in was brilliant and couldn't be more helpful. The interior is cosy with a number of small 'lounges' which are nicely decorated. Outside there are a variety of seating areas with views of the mountain. Breakfast and dinner is served on the terrace, weather permitting. Our room was a family room with a large double bed and two generous single bunk beds. Dinner was really nice and breakfast is a buffet style with the largest croissants and pain au chocolat I've seen. Packed lunches can also be provided on request. Overall a magical experience and I will definitely be looking to go back one day.

Nothing at all

Room`s view to the Mont Blanc is perfect. You open your balcony door or windows and you see the Mont Blanc in front of you. The Hotel Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Free Parking with great number of spots. The Hotel envolrement looks like a small mountain bangalo during the christmas. Quiet, simple and well comfortable room. Good bathroom. Breakfast was simple but very good.

The property is little far away from the center but has an amazing view of mountain range. I would stay there any day to get this view. The property is close to a train station that takes you to the city center and I would always advise to take the train - it’s free and puts you right at the center of all actions.

The people at reception were okay. Didn’t offer much information and we had to extract it from them and this may be just because we didn’t speak French and English wasn’t their first language. In the restaurant- they should have more options, especially because they are away from the center. We were a vegetarian family and there were no options at all.
