The location first and foremost is first class. This is the second time we have stayed at Dockside and we have never had to wait for longer than 3 minutes for a shuttle, which take around 7 minutes to get to Citywalk/the Parks. Location is also great for a couple of convenience stores (walgreens & 7/11) just outside the hotel grounds. There is also a KFC in the area but the hotel itself does quality southern fried chicken. Both Pool areas are really nice, rooms are great, really can’t say enough good things about this hotel, other than we have stayed here, we have stayed at Cabana Bay and we have stayed at the Hard Rock, and this is the one we keep coming back to. Food at this hotel is also a stand out worth noting, as are the poolside drinks (named after Wet N Wild slides) Another thing which is great that I don’t often see mentioned in reviews is the on demand movies on the tv’s in the rooms are free, whereas this isn’t the case at the other universal hotels we’ve stayed at.
There isn’t anything about the property we don’t like, the only improvement I can think of is a gate closer to the 7/11 as that would make a long walk a whole lot shorter, however I do understand why they don’t have one.

Room was very clean and spacious, we were on 10th floor, no noise at all. No issues using the lifts, plenty of them. Laundry facilities excellent. Large pool with plenty of sunbeds available. Excellenty situated hotel for ease of access to International Drive and surrounding area. Bus service to and from parks was outstanding, never waited more than 5 minutes on a bus. Staff extremely helpful.
We liked it all.

We stayed at Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Dockside Inn and Suites for 5 nights. We liked the following features: the cleanliness of the rooms, daily room cleaning, the fast check-in process, automatic check-out without the need to go to the front desk, regular shuttle service to Universal Orlando theme parks, the presence of Starbucks, as well as a big store within the hotel offering a variety of takeout food options, and the delivery of delicious pizza to the room. All these amenities together create a comfortable environment for guests visiting Orlando for Universal Studios theme parks.
However, there were a few things we didn’t like: during the room cleaning on the last day of our stay, my package of dental floss went missing. The staff might have mistaken it for trash and thrown it away, but nonetheless, this incident slightly tarnished the good impression we had of the stay. Also, the room did not have slippers or bottled water. If these two items were added, the stay at Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Dockside Inn and Suites would be even more comfortable for guests.

Everything was great! Loved the resort! The food court had lots of options every day and it was reasonably priced. The easy way to get into the park via the shuttles was great. Made it so nice for us not to have to worry about parking there. Our teenage girls were able to ride the shuttle by themselves which allowed us all to be a little bit on our own schedules. The pool looked great but we didn't get to use it because it was only like 70f (too cold for me LOL).
I don't drink Starbucks but the line there was always half the way through the lobby LOL. So if you're a lover be ready to wait in line (no mobile order).

Loved the ease of getting to and from the parks. The staff were friendly and informative. Check out was as easy as a text message, literally.
The only real complaint was that the rooms could be a little more soundproof. We could hear the people in the hall, next door and above us moving around. The other is the lack of control over the temperature of the room. We would turn it to 70 on the am before leaving the park and return to the temperature in the room, being 72 or more. Honestly, these are minor inconveniences, and I would definitely stay here again.

We'd been to a not so great hotel prior...so that might have affected our experience, but everything felt clean and spacious. The rooms were dry which were a big thing from the humid and damp hotel we'd just come from, we had a great view to the hotel, and I particularly enjoyed having starbucks in the lobby. You got the extra touch of luxury (as is to be expected from a universal hotel and the price), but it felt worth it.
The walls were rather thin. At some point we could probably have heard every word from the couple next door except they spoke a language we didn't. This wasn't as much of an issue most of the time, except when they were playing loud music at night.

The suite was perfect for us as had an extra bedroom as I was with my adult son. We loved the microwave and fridge.
The lifts. At busy times were tiresome. Big groups of people that were staying for a comp all pushing to get as many as they could in the lift. Was like that most of our stay. Also the housekeeper would knock on our door most mornings at 08.50 and we would tell her we are gathering out things and will be gone in 5 mins only for us to return at 15.35 and the room still not done. A few times we rushed out of the room so house keeper could do our room as we were having a rest day but after we kept checking room still not done so had to call reception a few times. The floor in our suite by the end of the week was filthy with hair crumbs etc Maybe hotel should hire more housekeepers.

Facilities were modern and clean. The staff were exceptional as well. So friendly, knowledgable, patient and never stressed even with hundreds of people lined up due to evacuations from the incoming hurricane. The shuttle to Universal was super handy, especially the late running ones back from Halloween Horror Nights and the separate queue for entry to the event was an added bonus.
Parking is expensive in my opinion, not sure why it can’t be free when you’ve paid so much to already stay there. Also the food served in the area downstairs was quite expensive too.

Good bus service to the Universal Studios, lots of diverse options in the food court.
Needed to have a lot more diversity in the room service menu, the Kitchen didn’t get our order right when we did order pizza which was the only option. Extremely expensive with no complementary toothbrushes, etc., and charging high prices for small items. They charge separate for parking. No clear instructions on how to exit the parking area which needs to have the key which they do give you but they don’t tell you that you will need it when you exit.

Really great hotel and facilities in an ideal location. We traveled as a family of 3 and stayed in a double room, plenty of space and fantastic value. Pool is great and open till late. Food is reasonably priced. Make sure you use the unlimited refill soft drinks. You can purchase it in the restaurant for a week or 2, its great value. Shuttle buses to the parks are brilliant and run often.
Large queues to contact guest services, seemed to be understaffed on the front desk for the size of this hotel. Rooms were cleaned at random times throughout the day, any time between 10am and 10pm, which was annoying.
