The only thing would maybe be having a small fridge in room - it would be useful but is obviously not essential! Just because I usually travel with provisions for onward travel and I have specific dietary needs

US motel-style hotel with all rooms on ground and first floors and ample free parking, ideal if catching or arriving from DFDS ferry. Not expensive compared to other nearby hotels. Helpful staff.

One needs transport to get to local restaurants, shops and petrol stations although they are not too far away.

Well situated on the outskirts of town, much like most Campanile sites. Great value for the money, selection of food at breakfast and evening meal enjoyable and good value for the cost. Reception staff proficient and friendly. Would choose to stay there again when opportunity arises.

Staff not phased by our very early arrival - very welcoming. Room ready and super clean. Restaurant, despite staff emphasising and apologising for its limitations, more than satisfactory. Breakfast well organised and substantial...

Very friendly staff, very dog friendly, nice lake across road for dog walks, unfortunately thick fog ( not hotels fault 😀) so could not really enjoy surroundings. Didn't have breakfast but it looked good. Excellent price

The location. We travel with a dog and across the road a very nice lake with trails is available for a good walk. Also it has easy access to the motorway.

Unfortunately in the evening the restaurant was not open. Usually we have a great meal here.

A little noisy during night from other rooms, but soon stopped Could have more variation of tea and coffee plus milk not very nice And paper cups made the tea taste awful

Good location just off D road, but quite quiet. Pleasant staff, nice breakfast, dinner available, but fully booked for our night. Two mins walk from scenic path round lake. Nice room with working aircon, and boy was it needed! Parking available, but tight manoeuvring in places.

Room was clean but probably left unattended during Covid shutdown, so not aired; and plaster starting to crumble off the walls in places. Rather uncomfortable beds, didn’t get a good kip on spring mattress.

Convenient. Clean. Unfussy. Good food.

The door to our room (#10) was challenging to open and shut. The bath takes a LONG time to drain...on the flip side, your feet get a good soak in the shower.

room location and breakfast was well appointed ....

the fact that they were no more food cook on site from a chef ...that is what dissatisfied me the most. i was looking forward for a steak..
