Fantastic location - especially if you love staying on the water's edge. Wonderful sunsets. Very peaceful atmosphere. Room and bathroom was clean and neat. Table and chairs outside on little stoep to enjoy the view - sublime. Restaurant staff very professional and helpful - special callout to Petrus - what a gem! Loved their cocktails which are unique to them! Safe parking behind gate. Overall wonderful experience and highly recommended for a one night stop over!

Room had hairdryer, however not a plug to enable use ;-)

Ideal spot for bird watching , close to the water . Good friendly helpful staff . Would definitely go again like the set up with the seating area out side the room with water views .

More choice for breakfast , a buffet set up with variety . More coffee and larger portions , annoying to have to pay for a second piece of toast , very minor but irritating and hasn’t happened before. Could be because there are many other groups coming and using the facilities so perhaps need people moving through quickly

I love everything,been coming here for nearly 20 years and I've never been dissapointed,the Riviera Hotel and Chalets is one of the few places that offers fun for the whole family,there's something for everyone.

I don't have and never ever had any issues,I honestly cant complain.

The friendly staff is certainly a plus, and I especially appreciated the warm-heartedness and professional conduct of Jade at reception, when she booked me in. Being my first time there, she showed me where the restaurant facillities were, and I could even have a look at the menu and decide long in advance, what I will be having for dinner.

The room breakfast wasn't so great, it was minimal and same thing every morning. Location was fantastic with good bird life.

The drains in the bathrooms are smelly and need cleaning

The booking in and welcoming of the reception staff, Robyn in particular, was awesome. Super friendly. accommodated me an hour earlier as check in time. The service was fantastic at the restuarant. Had to wait a while for food and drinks, but I ordered in the middle of the wedding ceremony, which was totally understandable. No harm done, and the pumpkin made up for the delay & I enjoyed the beatiful view from the deck. Donald and his crew also very friendly. Felt like home with these staff members on duty.

When I went for a nightcap at the bar, I walked past 3 ladies at the reception area. Upon entering the bar, there was no one in sight. When the 3 eventually entered the bar, they made me feel they were doing me a favour by serving me at 10pm. The bar was still open for business as they had a wedding on at the time. Manager (I think) and a friend sat at the bar, having drinks, smoking, complaining about all sorts. The barlady had not much to say... I feel they felt I interupted their chat session prior in the reception area of the hotel.

Great position on the river. The unit was far more spacious than anticipated.

The unit could do with an arm chair or two. Mosquitos are a huge problem. Guests should be advised to bring mosquito lotion and plug in mozzie deterrents.

The location and atmosphere

Our room was close to the reception and close to the staff storages. Would help to keep the noise level down in the morning, otherwise overall stay was good.

Very taste full and value for money Staff is amazing

waiting for service - food preparations taking long, but we do understand it takes time to make nice food.

My daughter was very happy with the dstv kids channels. I was happy to be able to make coffee in the room. They even provided milk and two cookies

The shower water wasn't very hot in the morning and there was no plug for the heater.
