Room - The hotel is located right on the beach and our apartment had a sea view which was absolutely fantastic. The apartment was really spacious and light with very comfortable beds and spacious clean bathrooms. There was a terrace room (not really a balcony) that ran the length of the apartment which was lovely and warm in May - perfect for drying swimming gear and sitting to read but I imagine it could get quite hot in the summer months. Staff - were always friendly and as helpful as could be although we had some miscommunication in the bar/cafe at times - we definitely need to brush up on our Spanish as not their fault! The whole area is quite unspoilt so expect to make an effort with the language and culture, it was really nice to not be in a big resort geared to Brits. Food - We didn't have breakfast as the apartment had a kitchenette which was adequate for light meals (fridge, microwave, hob, toaster) - no kettle though so if you are British, prepare to boil water for tea in a pan! Well equipped kitchen in terms of pans and utensils. The fridge wasn't massive but there is a supermarket just down the road so easy to stock up. Activities - The indoor pool was small but warm and great for our kids to play in as it was so quiet there was no-one else there. We also made use of the gym, table football and table tennis so plenty to do on-site. There is a garden with loungers but you could not access this from the pool area which would have been nice although maybe this is different later in the season. We travelled half an hour into the mountains to access a guided Via Ferrata trip with Vulcan Adventures - stunning but challenging and also a guided canoe trip on the Ason river with CanoAson - highly recommended. Just up the coast, Noja is an amazing beach and has a good choice of restaurants and cafes. The best bit for us tho was access to the most beautiful beach - great waves for surfing, sand for playing or just early morning walks - so gorgeous.

Breakfast was expensive for what was on offer and I feel could have been included in the price. Still, having your own kitchenette was helpful for this. We were informed that washing-up liquid and cloths were not provided so we went to buy our own, and then on day 3 a pack was put in our room!! Felt a bit wasteful as we were flying so could not bring what we had bought back! For some reason the light switch in the en-suite beeped loudly when it was switched on - not ideal for middle of the night visits! But none of the above stopped us from having a really brilliant stay!

What a fabulous location, right on the sandy beach! We enjoyed swimming and there of plenty of surfers. There is a place to hire wetsuits and boards further along the beach. The hotel has some private parking but there is also plenty of parking along the street too. The facilities are very nice with an indoor pool, small gym, an outdoor shower area (useful when you come off the beach), nicely decorated foyer area and a lounge with balcony on the top floor. We had a sea view room (without a balcony) and it was very comfortable, with tea and coffee making facilities. We ate breakfast everyday and there was a good selection of meats and cheeses, fruits, breads and pastries as well as a cooked breakfast (bacon, eggs etc). They have a café as well as a restaurant. We tried the burgers and salads in the cafe and the paella in the restaurant. It was all excellent! The staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly.

Nice 4-star hotel with excellent bathroom and shower and nice decor. It is located right on a beautiful surfing beach, a coupe of kilometres out of Santona on the Camino de Santiago.

The car parking charges quoted were very high and there seems to be some sort of issue with parking (even on empty, apparently unrestricted streets) close to the hotel.

Great location with a spectacular beach out front. Courteous and capable staff. Spacious balcony. spacious room and bath.

The floors in our room appeared to not have been cleaned in some time. My socks got filthy walking in the room and when barefoot you could feel the dirt. Also, no fans or AC. Our room was over the front entrance so there was quite a bit of noise when we kept the sliding door to the balcony open - the only ventilation possible. The hotel eventually quieted down so we were okay but it’s not ideal for ventilation.

I absolutely loved the location, it was great to spend hours on the beach, exploring the rocks and taking photos. It was deserted most of the time. My room had a balcony & sea view which was fantastic especially when the rain arrived. The room had a kettle for tea/coffee and a small fridge.

It could do with a bit of modernisation but it didn’t really bother me.

Sited on the beachfront with good parking. Lovely restaurant with bar and tapas alternative. Comfortable clean rooms with tea and coffee facilities. Very good breakfast.

It was a very humid night and the air conditioning had been turned off .

Beach view was incredible! Access to trails for hiking was a big plus for us. When we had trouble getting a taxi to the property in the middle of a huge rainstorm, one of the staff came and picked us up. It was so kind!

The hotel was located facing the beach which was very clean and not very busy. The hotel is about 2km from Santona which is where the restaurants / bars are all located. We ate out both nights and there was a good choice available. Santona is the anchovy capital of Spain so it was interesting seeing the harbour & fishing boats.

The hotels own charges for dinner and breakfast seemed high to us compared to other hotels we had stayed in our our 3 week touring holiday.

Friendly helpful staff. Amazing beach location. Handy for travel to or from Santander. Safe underground free parking for motorbikes.

Area is a bit far from town and restaurants so you have limited choice for eating.
