The staff are amazing. Super friendly and helpful. The 2 bedroom, sea facing, self catering chalet has a modern farm style feel and has all the amenities one requires . We visited in winter and although the chalet can be cold there are heaters, electric blankets (which was switched on before we checked in) hot water bottles and extra blankets. Spectacular sea view, which you can enjoy from the comfort of your bed. Would love to visit in summer to take advantage of the swimming pool and outside dining area.

To get to Misty mountains there is a small distance on a gravel road which could be tricky with a small car but doable.

We were received with a warm welcome and complimentary welcome drink and shown around before escorted to our room which was nice. The tented room was spacious and extremely well decorated and the bed was very comfortable with heating under blankets which were amazing and really needed. Breakfast was fresh and portions were generous. I particularly liked the freshly baked muffins and bread rolls. Overall, a great location and overall experience.

The accommodation is next to a working dairy farm and while charming, the noise and smell of manure was a little off putting. Sadly, the sausages at breakfast were dry and the friendly waitering staff could be a bit more focused as they forgot to bring a few items to the table which were asked for.

Beautiful well maintained property, lush green with views of sea right from your bed. It was cold and the staff was kind to give us heated water bags and extra heater for the room. There was a charming and cozy little fireplace next to the restaurant where we spent some time after dinner playing board games over wine. Breakfast wasn't a buffet so options were limited but whatever we had was very tasty (esp. tree hugger and their granola), ingredients in all foods were top notch and fresh. Unlike buffets, the breakfast and served fresh and hot. Only hotel during our trip where I found almond milk :)

The approach road, about 5 kms long is pitch dark at night. We were delayed due to change of plans and it was dark by the time we checked in. Those 5 kms, we sat with bated breath, had no idea whasoever of what was on either side of us - forest/sea/hills/wild animals/slums... there was absolutely zero light other than the car's headlights. Very scary experience, they could use some lighting along the way although there are enough signs for direction. On the plus side, it was so dark that the stars looked so big and close like we haven't seen since childhood. My son was in awe.

What an amazing find. We should have stayed longer! Who knew there was so much to do in Tsitsikamma? We sure didn't. and we will be back. We stayed in a very comfortable and luxurious tent. It can complete with a rain shower above a free standing ball and claw slipper bath. Amazing! The restuarant's food was amazing so good. and we made full use of the onsite spa with body massages, scrubs and manicures. It was such a treat.

This is a place suitable foe anyone who loves the outdoors. We hoped to Zip line,walk and quadbike while there but unfortunately I arrived with a bad stomach bug so we watched the monkeys trying to raid the bar and sugar from the coffee area, the peacocks courting.and a few whales out to sea while sitting quietly inside and out. The staff were fantastic. Did I mention the 3 crocodiles outside reception?. It was just what I needed though not what I had expected to need.

We arrived during a storm and the weather was cold. It could have done better. We were in one of the "tents" and found the shower interesting. It was lovely once you got it right but there was yery little solid to hold to and the tent walls were being battered by the wind. In the morning the sun shone on the tent wall giving a heated wall in the bathroom - lovely. The GPS coordinates on the site are incorrect by a couple of miles

Absolutely everything, the people is so kind and friendly. You feel like part of a family. The food is super tasty, thanks to Ilse, who is a fantastic chef. The place is really cozy, and the nature around is unique with a small trail to see a small nice river, astonishing views of the ocean from your room. You can see beautiful animals that are around. Special thanks to Jermina, who was always super kind and helpful as well as everyone there. All of them are extremely nice. The breakfast is very, very good. They have tours as well and can help with whatever you need.

Too short stay

Lovely stay! Was very nice that wood was provided, as sitting at a fire at night was part of what made my experience so memorable. The warm water bags provided on the bed were also very thoughtful, as it can get cold in the tents. The unit was neat and clean, and all the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Shower curtains! Taking a shower in the bath was quite messy, and there's no hooks or railings to hang up wet towels. Also nowhere to put the soap bar at the sink at the toilet.

- Unique and unparalleled accommodation experience -The tented cabin, in particular, was exceptionally comfortable and spacious, complete with amenities such as an electric blanket to enhance the sleeping experience. -Despite arriving late at the property, the staff kindly waited for me until midnight. I really appreciated they willingness to assist. -Overall enjoyable stay

-The room's chandelier could benefit from a clean to prevent spiders from coming out. - Breakfast offering at the property was quite unsatisfactory

The staff at Misty Mountain are welcoming and friendly. I loved their enthusiasm for the beauty of this place - it's telling when the staff who are here regularly still come out to take pictures on the sunset! The gardens on the property are incredible and you are likely to see a peacock and monkeys during your stay. I enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the property. It is advised to order dinner before 5 PM. They were so kind to deliver it to my room so I could enjoy my meal in peaceful solitude while watching the sun set.

The staff are friendly. Amenities are great. Lovely breakfast. Will definitely return. View are stunning ❤️

No dislikes. I would just advise the owners to ensure the spa is fully kitted before treatments commence . The treatment room is not large enough for a couples massage. And the choice of building location won’t be tranquil at all situated at the entrance /exit when you have quad tours .. but once again the staff were friendly and happy to receive the feedback.
