The microwave in the room would have been great. Dryer didn’t work, unfortunately

We chose to stay here on our drive Cairns-Brisbane and wanted to see the Kangaroos on the Beach at Cape Hillsborough. The cabin was spacious and great value for money. We enjoyed a quick paddle at the beach with our toddler and the staff were very helpful and cooked up a great dinner for us after a long day in the car! The cabins were about 15 min drive from Cape Hillsborough. It was cool seeing the Kangaroos, however, a little less 'natural' than I had expected.

Finding our room at night was hard work. Not much lighting and had to drive around large campgrounds trying to find the small number on the cabin… it was ok though. We probably had looked at map upside down a few times and found it eventually

Location was excellent. Affordable and less than 15 minutes from Cape Hillsborough and Seaforth in the other direction. I thought the villa would make an excellent 'tiny house' which I am looking for as I get too old to go up and down my steps at home.

Unfortunately there were no fly screens in the bedroom or lounge room windows so we had some friendly bugs and flies which wasn’t pleasant.

The cabin met all of our needs perfectly. Water pressure in the shower was awesome, bed was comfy and the air con worked a treat for a quick cool down. Our favourite part of our stay was seeing the beautiful wildlife all around the park (wallabies, ducks and other native birds) and how quiet it was. No traffic noises or loud people, just the sound of nature :) We loved walking on the beach at Halliday Bay and visiting the other beaches in the area. Loved our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Halliday Bay Resort is our regular weekend getaway. Tina and the team are amazing, the cabins are always clean, fresh, comfortable and only minutes from the beach. Highly recommended.

It was the place we want for peace and quiet. The beautiful sea breeze is much felt up to the villas. The beach is just a minute walk so its much convenient with kids needing to change clothes to just walk back into the accommodation. Bring your days picnic groceries and enjoy preparing your food and eating them by the beach.

There maybe sandflies in some months, so make sure to close the villa’s doors and windows.

Many units in facility, people are friendly, birds are amazing. Villa’s are outdated but cosy enough

Staff were really friendly, good location with a golf course and swimming enclosure, took a little walk up the beach and found a walking track to a beautiful summit view. Saw the resident croc on the golf course, and only a 10-15min drive to Cape Hillsborough to see the kangaroos on the beach. The cabin is a bit run down and dated but the bed was comfortable and it was clean. Shower pressure was great, and the kitchen functional for our needs.

It doesn’t look particularly nice on first impression, but everything worked well in the kitchen, and the bed was comfy. I wouldn’t have wanted to sleep on the bunk bed or couch, but the main bedroom gave us a good nights sleep.
