The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Enjoyed the swimming pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi in the Leisure centre and the staff member was very friendly and helpful there. The breakfast was well organised with good choice of food. Live piano music in the bar/lounge area added to the atmosphere in the evening.

Staff at the reception could be a bit more friendly/attentive overall on the day of arrival; it was quite warm in the room- an air conditioner or a fan would have been welcomed, but an opened window was sufficient to cool the temperature during the night; the vent in the bathroom didn’t function however; it can get a little noisy if there’s much traffic on the street or people chatting in the corridor. While we were lucky to get a parking space, the car park seemed to be very busy.

The staff were very accommodating and helpful, ready to give help and advice. The food in the restaurant was excellent.

We were on the top floor but in the middle of the night a pipe in the roof started gushing water which was pouring onto the ledge outside our room and making a loud noise. This was despite the weather being very dry. I reported this at reception when we left.

From the moment I arrived (as a solo traveller for a break/de-stress) I was so impressed with the warmth of the staff. When I parked my car, I was unsure if where I parked was part of the hotel complex. I saw a youngstaff member nearby and asked if where I parked was ok. He kindly asked me to wait while he got confirmation from the hotel about where I could park for my 2 night stay. He returned and explained so clearly as to where to park. I was so impressed with this very polite and kind young man. Thank you again Gabriel! The Station House are very lucky to have you as a member of their team. I had a very relaxing stay. The bed was so comfy! I had wonderful sleeps! Breakfasts were delicious! Fantastic range to choose from! Natasha and her team were so welcoming to guests arriving for breakfast each morning. The atmosphere was always relaxed but very efficient.

Having to leave! I will return again soon.

The location in the heart of Clifton was so convenient for our night away. We had a spacious family room which was very comfortable with biscuits and coffee/tea making facilities, a huge shower and lovely bathroom products. The leisure centre was a welcome treat after the days travelling. We had a hearty breakfast the next morning and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Would love to stay here again.

We couldn't find fault with anything in the hotel

The location was a short walk to the main part of town. We didn’t use any of the facilities like the pool or spa so can’t comment on them. Lots to choose from at the breakfast buffet, including made-to-order pancakes (more like crepes), scrambled eggs and porridge. More than anything though, I have to thank the staff - particularly Jack and Claire - for going above and beyond to ensure that we had the best stay possible.

Our room, 206, was unbearably hot for the duration. We had the windows open as wide as they could go (only a few inches) and we had the fan going the whole time, which helped. It seemed that our end of the hallway was much warmer than everywhere else.

Hotel is very comfortable staff extremely friendly and helpful. Little extras were lovely friday crunchiest on the pillow herb diffused water stands in reception. Pool and thermal facilities very clean and accessible withe long opening hours.

Portions in bar a little small for price but have noticed price increase everywhere. Breakfast was absolutely lovely with lots of options.

Conveniently located in Clifden with plenty of parking. The team were very friendly and wanting to help on all occasions. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was great.

There was a misunderstanding with Booking where I had paid already and was charged at reception again. However this was cleared up very quickly and the team profusely apologised.

My friends and I thought the little touch of having two Cadbury Crunchie bars on the pillows was an excellent way to start our stay. You start your stay with a smile and you just know you are going to enjoy everything that the hotel has to offer. The leisure facilities are excellent, fabulous pool, sauna and Steam Room!

I didn't like having to leave!

The staff was fabulous and we had an absolute blast every night in The Library into the wee hours

Although the weather was abnormally hot for our 3 day stay in Clifden the rooms were almost unbareable to sleep in, as we couldn’t open the windows more than a few inches and to the get the little bit of air into the room we had to keep the blinds open which meant bright floodlights from the fire station across the street right into the room all night. Grateful for the air conditioning in the lobby and library though!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in the Station House. The bed and room overall were very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly , professional and accommodating. There was lots of choice for breakfast and dinner in both the Signal and Carriage Restaurants was very good. A very good location for exploring beautiful Clifden
