Gunther and Barbara were very accommodating hosts, welcoming us on check-in with a glass of sparkling and then showing us to our room. Then also very willing to talk about the villa and Lucca town. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was a very nice touch, with fresh coffee and egg orders taken daily.

Due to our own fault, accessing the villa without a car is difficult and having to rely on local taxis or the bus. Can be quite costly and unreliable with timing, so please ensure you have a car for accessibility to Lucca town and nearby towns. Not being able to have a takeaway breakfast due to an earlier check-out as there is no one in the villa until 7am to assist for dining.

Very friendly family-owned business, very well renovated villa, beautiful garden, very clean, good location to make day trips to Lucca and Pisa (if you have a car).

For the high price, I expected a bit more attention to detail (e.g., the fridge for the mini bar was just standing in the room and not hidden/integrated, plastic flowers, not the highest quality of furniture etc.). Breakfast was good, but not great. Overall, my perception is that the stay was nice, but based on value for money, I would not go again. However, this does not mean that this is not the right place for you. It is special for sure, and it can be easily enjoyed.

This beautiful villa is situated just outside the main city of Lucca. If you don't have a car, you can easily take a taxi from the train station, which is what we did. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with a smile and some delicious wine. We spent three relaxing days by the pool, enjoying spritz made with their homemade limoncello from their own lemons—the best we've had on our trip! Without a car, we chose to rent bikes from the villa and cycled into the main town, which was a delightful way to explore Lucca. We also walked to and from the main town one day, as we love walking. Since the villa operates as a B&B, there’s a great selection of breakfast options available. Before your stay, they will send you dinner recommendations. For those without a car, the villa offers light lunch options and pizza for dinner. On two evenings, we took a pleasant stroll and discovered Regine Pizzeria with amazing pasta, Kelpero Pizza, and Gelateria Angiolino for dessert—all about a 15-20 minute walk from the villa, depending on your pace. The hosts are incredibly friendly and enjoy getting to know their guests. We can’t wait to come back to this place. Thank you for hosting us.

Everything about Villa La Preziosa was greater than our expectations. Barbara was so hospitable and gave us some good recommendations for places to visit. It was a short drive to Lucca (very limited taxis) with some lovely restaurants, many of which were recommended. We had a few hours around the pool on a couple of days and it was lovely and quiet. The rooms are beautiful and the house has been renovated very sympathetically. We would love to stay there again if we visit Tuscany.

Barbara and Gunther are exceptional hosts. The room was beautifully decorated and looked out at the large garden and pool. The breakfast was delicious and my husband loved the omelets! Best of all was all the help both Barbara and Gunther provided about sites to see, restaurants, trips, and where to buy the best cake for my friend's birthday. If I return to Lucca I will stay at Villa La Preziosa again for sure!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The owners went out of their way to make our stay special. The rooms are lovely with comfortable beds and beautifully decorated. The gardens are so pretty and we enjoyed relaxing by the pool under the umbrellas or in a shaded spot. We enjoyed our breakfast in the garden every morning under the arbor which included a wide selection of foods from their buffet as well as a cooked breakfast. Would definitely stay again if we returned to this area.

Since it is located outside Lucca we needed a taxi to get into town and to the wedding we were attending. Taxi’s are quite difficult to find in this area.

Villa La Preziosa was our favorite place to stay during our Italy trip. From the beautiful landscaping to the charming Villa and rooms. Barbara and Julian made us feel so welcome and took care of any of our needs. The rest of the staff were also very helpful and always smiling and cheerful. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of food and drinks! Spotless rooms with comfortable beds. We can’t wait to be back! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The owners take really good care of this place, they put a lot of energy and attention to each and every detail. And one can feel this. Great breakfast, amazing rooms, fresh water daily, also really good water pressure in the bathroom - for me it’s important as I have long hair and want to wash my hair once/twice a week. The bathrooms were really nice and elegant I also liked the rooms size, the mattreses and pillows quality and the central ventilation system (we could set it at the temp we wished for and it did not blow air like individual AC systems so we could sleep with cool air). Loved the pool, even if it seemed small, it was more than enough.

I booked this for my parents for a wedding anniversary trip and it couldn’t of been better! The hotel is stunning, the rooms gorgeous and spacious, the pool and grounds are immaculate and the breakfast was amazing. The welcome addition of bikes and a cute dog was the icing on the cake! The team couldn’t do enough for my parents and they didn’t want to leave, they’re already talking about coming back.

I liked everything. The whole atmosphere was so nice, and all the little details around the house and garden really made a difference. The food and service was great. All in all it was a pleasure to stay at Villa La Prezioza 🙏🌺😊 And we will highly recommend it to everyone.

It's a wonderful place. 😊 The larger rooms were amazing and the smaller one as well. But If I should say anything that could be improved, then I would have loved to have a couple of creaks on the wall, in the little room my husband and I stayed in, just because the space was so compressed and it would have been nice to be able to hang a bag or housecoat. But really no big deal. All on all it was a wonderful place ☺️
