The pub has a great atmosphere & had lots of locals in when we arrived .We were greeted by Jasmine the very friendly & professional landlady who straight away made us feel welcome & could not do enough for us throughout our stay. We had an evening meal there on the first night ( as we were attending a wedding on the second night ) which was very tasty , reasonably priced & nicely presented . Breakfast on both mornings of our stay again was really enjoyable , lots of choice & because we made our choice the night before was served quickly , highly recommend full English which was filling without being overfacing. Our room was cosy & had a comfy bed, fluffy towels etc. The pub is located in a beautiful Cotswold village but close to popular attractions to visit.
Nothing.

1. We had sent a message to warn so that we could change booking if there was an problems with access. There was in fact a steep staircase and the top flight had no hand rail. My wife needed my assistance to get up and down and would not have managed on her own in an emergency. We were offered a different room (with shower) and were offered cancelation at no cost but we already knew other places were full. I the event we had a nice three days and were very well looked after. 2. Too much light under room door.

The pub/hotel is in a very picturesque spot with a river running along the front on the other side of the car park and an outdoor eating area, there is a lovely pub & dining area, really wish I’d got there earlier for a meal and a quiet drink. The young lady who greeted us was very welcoming and quickly showed me to the room and explained the essentials ref getting in and out, breakfast etc. The room was lovely, a decent size, spotlessly clean and nice and warm, nice bathroom, thick fluffy towels, shower gell, shampoo etc all provided. The bed was huge and one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was probably up there in the top 5 breakfasts that I’ve had, and the morning guy was real friendly and helpful. A really lovely place and would stay there again
No negatives except the early check in time

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful We were greeted with smiles when we got in and was then introduced to the landlady/caretaker/gardener/ owner / etc. who was so friendly and welcoming the food was good. but the breakfast was incredible. The room was up a few stairs which i cant remember if i noticed this on the booking or not - but the room was clean and quiet. The WIFI was a bit slow - but I wasn't expecting it to be fast as we were in the country All in all - great place!!
I found the dinner was a bit spicy for my liking, but that is just me being picky.

The breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. The new owners tried to contact us to let us know that food was not available on a Monday. Due to complications with the previous tenant they could not contact me through booking .com
We arrived on Monday at about 14 30, this was a problem as there was nobody until 15 00. This should be made aware for anyone booking. Also after 6pm on a Sunday there is no food available , to add to this no food is available on Monday at all

Stayed overnight on my way to Cheltenham. First time visitor. Great location, near enough to the road network for convenience but in the village location so very quiet. The room was perfect, with authentic old world charm (sloping floors etc.) but decorated to a high standard, and very comfortable. My room had a bath which was nice. The food was very good. Breakfast was excellent. Really nice pub, which closed around 9ish, depending on the number of customers, so perfect as a place for a quiet nights sleep. Overall the service was the standout element for me, which was excellent. I’ll definitely be back when next in the area.

A fantastically warm welcome awaits you - every member of staff is incredibly welcoming and accommodating - nothing is too much trouble. Rooms very comfortable and relaxing. Great walks on your doorstep. A brilliant location in the heart of the Cotswolds. Great for visiting Cirencester and surrounding area. Fantastic wine list! Extensive. The perfect cosy pub!
The food for dinner was slightly over priced for what you got. Breakfasts on the other hand were fantastic & delicious

The staff and locals were friendly- the bed was comfortable. They serve good beer. Breakfast was decent.
It is a very old place with lots of character however the toilet was black, the shower was lukewarm even when turned up high and the food on our first night was not good. The ‘garden’ room was very noisy with traffic for most of the night.

Very friendly helpful and attentive staff. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Excellent breakfasts cooked beautifully, we also had an excellent dinner. Room and everywhere fresh, clean and tidy. Good location for where we were attending the wedding. Wonderful countryside and walks straight from the Bathurst Arms.
There were no dislikes We would have preferred if the room had been slightly larger and the bathroom was a little tired.

the cosy atmosphere given by the hosts. the bar was well stocked with plenty of choices. The breakfasts well excellent plenty to eat. we had one evening meal which was ok choice’s we’re a bit limited. The room was lovely and bed was great, bathroom had everything you would need. The outside area was great lovely little river running and plenty of seating areas.
lack of choices on menus no catering for intolerances or gluten free meals. Not the host fault as tied in to a brewery choices.
