The staff at the check in/check out were so helpful and friendly! The beds and pillows were very comfortable and nice linen provided. The building and restaurant was full of character, very quaint! Breakfast was delicious each day, good variety of options available to order (included in price). Location of the accomodation in town, very central, easy access to everything you could need for exploring Cirencester by foot!
Bathroom was on the small side, but does the job. The faucet of one tap in my bathroom seemed to drip regularly, and toilet had some issues flushing at times.

Welcome was warm and you felt as if you were a guest not a nuisance. The room was clean, warm, tidy but no bath and the shower only had a top jet so not getting hair wet was a bit difficult. Lovely toiletries, lots of hot water, fluffy towels, crisp bed linen. The evening meal was very good, food hot, tasty and the room had a nice ambiance, the breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked. The location was excellent in a very lovely town.
Sadly our room had a view of the bins and was above the kitchen so we had the sound of the extractor fan, the smells of cooking and bin emptying. I appreciate that the hotel has to run and somebody has to have that room. So only an observation not a criticism. The shower, please have a hand spray. Limited parking at the hotel, we were lucky and had a space, the public parking right outside the front is free from 6pm to 8am but you cannot put your money in the night before, you have to get up before 8am and do it, apparently the traffic wardens are vicious. The council need to make visitors to the town more welcome.

Facilities and location were great
Stayed for 2 nights and on night 1 I was kept awake by a lot of noise from people walking up and down the stairs outside our room and also walking in the room directly above ours around midnight. As the room we’d booked was expensive, I’d have expected better noise cancellation between the rooms as it sounded as if the ceiling could fall through from normal footsteps. Night 2 was not as bad but the noises still came through at different points. This combined with the workers on scaffolding directly outside our windows in the morning did not help contribute to a very relaxing sleeping experience.

The service in The Fleece was very good, they were super friendly and despite being limited, the food was lovely. We had a large deluxe room with a separate bathroom which overlooked the town, was stunning. We stayed for 3 nights.
It was partly my fault, I left some shoes in the room of which they kindly called me and advised of. They confirmed they would send them onto me which I received very quickly. They then called me and requested the £3.87 postage despite us spending well over £700 over the 3 days. I understand it was an error on my behalf however it did sour my visit slightly.

Central hotel and a 24-hour carpark only a few minutes walk away, staff very friendly. Breakfast was good and was made to order. We also had an evening meal at the hotel, which was excellent. The bedroom had a good selection of tea and coffee and a coffee machine plus a small fridge which included a bottle of water. A visit to Cirencester Park is a must which is only a few minutes walk away from the hotel.
Due to being so central, we had a room at the front of the hotel and there is no double glazing so can be noisy at times, blackout blinds would be a good idea as well however the bed was very comfy.

The food was excellent, both Dinner and Breakfast, if a little expensive in some cases. the staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is beautifully kept and decorated.
Rooms at the top of the building are very warm and a little small, making it hard to sleep in summer. I booked a room with my 14 year old son and would have liked separate beds for us both, especially for over £160 per night. bathroom a little cramped, especially the shower.

Friendly, welcoming, personable staff who clearly do everything they can to make your stay very special. Reflects an efficient management structure, who have built a truly fantastic team. Situated within easy walking distance of many cultural and natural landmarks - the Corinium museum; the Bathurst Estate and so many cafés, restaurants and coffee lounges.
Absolutely nothing, really. Although a restaurant 'specials' board, might have been an addition to the regular menu. Perhaps also a small box of tissues in the room, as we've experienced in other hotels. That said, the White Company toiletries were superb.

The brilliant management team who worked exceptionally well together, multitasking and supporting each other. Each and every one that we met, from the room servicing, the bar and restaurant staff to the young member of the kitchen staff we chatted to in the carpark were so affable that it made the few days we stayed really enjoyable. The restaurant, both for dinner and breakfast, is exceptional.
Unless you specifically request a table in the restaurant for dinner you may be given a table in the bar area which can get very busy.

Phenomenal staff all over the hotel and dining room. They are a real credit to the hotel. One of the best showers I've ever had! The hotel is in an excellent position.
Just a bit more care in the rooms. Rock hard, flat and dumpy pillows one side and the other, seems like 2 new ones.??? Toilet roll holder hanging off and fixtures on walls all crooked like no care was taken. 1 of our party had an evening meal with only 1 small potato and not the correct veg. It was one of the most expensive meals on the menu and she had to ask for more. Shame.

Beautifully decorated rooms, comfortable beds and amazing courtyard facilities. All the food was of an exceptional standard, so much so, we decided to eat at the restaurant most of the nights we were there. I appreciate how helpful the staff were, especially with my 1 year old learning to walk & climb stairs.
The leaking water pipe outside my room was very noisy but this was a known problem that the hotel was struggling to get fixed. More fans or larger fans & water should be provided in the top loft room.
