Location and having a sento was great as well as just covering exactly what we needed

No way to control air conditioning in rooms so I was being overheated even in winter to the point I had to open the windows to not dry out. Also their was truely alarming extremist views expressed by the hotel owners in books that are provided in every room which after discovering have ensured I will never again support APA hotels and will make sure that people know of this alarming detail despite my having an otherwise enjoyable stay but I simply can not be party to supporting people who would pen such views.

Great location 5 combinis within 5 minutes. Station next door plus Shinjuku station is a 10 minute walk. Heaps of food options fantastic gyoza restaurant across the road. Easy check in check out, 3 elevators although obviously busy at check out time.

I do wish the rooms and shower were that bit bigger but kind of expected in japan. The cleaner took our card out of the electricity slot, no idea why so had to go get a new one from front desk. Was worried they were going to charge us but they seemed to understand so im thinking this may happen alot given the cleaners probably use the slot when they clean for the lights.

Hotel is exceptionally well located, about 50m from the Maranouchi line subway station Shinjuku Gyoemmae. Google doesn't tell you but you can change from the rail line when you come from the airport to the subway line at Shinjuku station and literally pop up 50m from the hotel front entrance. Very convenient and close to everything. There is heaps of dining bars and the park within easy walk. It was also quiet inside and we got a good sleep. The room was very small but comfortable and clean. We got the breakfast, which was pretty average, I wouldn't book the breakfast again as there are plenty of better food options nearby. Overall I totally recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

Self service laundry was great w/ 4 units ea. washer / dryer. Location is superior and convenient to explore all of Tokyo. Walking distance to Shinjuku Gyoenmae, Shinjuku Sanchome and Shinjuku stations. Neighborhood dining options are superior with multiple food choices to fit all budgets. Combinis short walk away and neighborhood grocery store nearby as well. Onsen was wonderful!

Rooms are small but expected. Non-stop transfer from Haneda is not available via Metro. Need to connect or take airport limo bus to Shinjuku sta and walk or transfer to metro to get to hotel. Dining room did not sell coffee (without buying breakfast) and no lobby coffee service.

Being a Gay Traveler this location was a stones throw away from the 24 Kaikan Sauna and the Shinjuku gay bars plus very well connected to transit., Shinjuku Shopping Area is within walking distance ., The breakfast was bountiful and refreshments had a variety of options. Bath facilities had plenty of hot water and the free toiletries were a plus!, once again APA hotels are a perfect selection for a smart traveler! APA Hotel Nishi Shinjuku Gochome Eki Tower was a good choice you want to be in a quiet residential part of Tokyo!, but still this location was just as good and plenty of restaurants to choose from even a smoking cafe was withing walking distance called The Smokist Coffee

Excellent location, walking distance to Shinjuku night life area, Godzilla, golden gai, etc! We arrived into Narita airport and got the train to Shinjuku and then were able to easily walk 9 mins with huge suitcases to the hotel! Staff are very nice. Hotel room is small but well designed. Fine for 2-3 Nights. I found the bathroom size fine. In a quiet area and yet 5min walk to the busy night life area!

Size of room but you know the exact measurement in advance so Im not reducing the rating because of this! We took turns getting ready as the room doesn’t allow you to open to large suitcases at the same time.

rooms are small as you expect in Tokyo but well designed and exceptionally clean and functional. comfortable beds, good pillows and linen. staff kept the room clean and well supplied. we were all happy with our accommodation. bathrooms are small, but extremely clean, functional and well designed-including a bath tub. 100% recommend this hotel. Dont go changing APA Shinjuku- Gyoemmae.

Not a negative but a suggestion - to provide even a small lounge area for guests waiting or meeting. We noticed the dining room near the front desk had a lot of unused space - some of that could be reconfigured to allow for a break out area for guests to meet up or wait for transfers etc.

This place is in a great location - near train station and subway as well as restaurants and bars. Also plenty of 7-11's and FamilyMarts close by. The room was super clean, the bed was really comfortable, and the wifi was great. Every member of the hotel staff I interacted with from the front desk to the cleaning staff were super nice and helpful.

The room was small, but I expected that for Tokyo. I was a solo traveler, so I didn't have much luggage, but there was hardly room for even my one roller bag and backpack. Just know that going in. Also, the 3pm check-in time was chaotic because everyone comes back at 3pm to get into their rooms. This hotel has a small lobby and it was filled with bags when I came back. Even with the chaos, the staff was very helpful and courteous.

I love the location of this particular hotel... It allowed me to go virtually anywhere I needed to and was a good central base for all of my activities. Everyone was so nice and helpful. This hotel is close to the marunouchi line. The closest station is Shinjuku Gyoenmae. But it is also close to Shinjuku sanchome which can get you north and south on the Fukutoshin line. It is also very close to Shinjuku JR station And the cat crossing which has become really popular lately on social media. As an lgbtq traveler, it is right at the mouth of Shinjuku nichome which is Tokyo's biggest LGBTQ neighborhood.

I did not like the fact that the towels smelled dirty after washed. I don't know if they were using soap to wash the towels. I did not ask about it. It wasn't that big of a deal but the towels definitely smelled dirty even when they were clean. For me this is not such a huge deal for you it may be.

The room , though small has everything we needed. Bed is soft and comfortable , good size for 2 people. Hotel is near to 2 stations (2min walk from Shinjuku Gyoemmae station and 5min walk from Shinjuku San chome station)

The bath towels for the hotel doesn't feel very clean and dry. Please use strong dryer to dry (and sanitize) the towels. The room floor is not vacuumed during make up room? Some dust balls around the room floor and some on bed. Having said that, the important areas like bed and toilets are very clean! When going to and coming back from hot bath (B1) , the lift stops at level one (with new guests). Wearing Yukata looks scary for new guests. Perhaps the outer cover of Yukata can be other colours instead of this super dark black. The laundry dryer is not strong. After 60mins, my clothes are still not fully dry (less than half load). Takes too long. Overall, APA hotel is small but great, I will return to APA again because of good value for money! Thank you!!
