A lovely one night stay at The Lugger in Polruan. Beautifully appointed and clean room with view onto the harbour and boatyard. Compact accommodation but had everything we needed. The rooms are right above the pub and have their own entrance which is nice. Friendly and very helpful staff. There was an issue checking in which was dealt with professionally including offering us a complimentary drink while we waited. Nice atmosphere in pub and you can get drinks to take out in the evening sun on the quay (while Fowey is in the shade!)

The rooms are right above the main bar so if you like an early night this place is probably not for you.

Lovely spot on the water's edge, relaxing away-from-it-all feeling. The rooms are above a busy vibrant pub but it's really quiet, you would never know there was a bar beneath you. Lovely comfortable bed, and view right over the harbour. Evening meal in the pub was excellent, and brilliant service from the tireless barman who looked after everyone and everything constantly happy and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent place to stay.

Parking is limited right outside the Inn by the Quay, but otherwise the public car park is a steep climb uphill. Grab quayside parking as soon as a space becomes available!

The room was well decorated to a great standard. Very modern. Clean. Large bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced pint of local lager.

The milk is in a fridge in the hallway for all the rooms to share. You have to hope that another guest remembers to take their little jug or they may take the whole carton. I didn't find anyone to get a replacement loo roll, that would have been helpful. The parking is up the top of a hill and costs £12 for the weekend, this is not The Luggers fault but I feel this would help if it was stated on the advertisment as I saw other guests coming in asking about parking.

I didn't eat there so no review re the food. The room was very nice with a lovely view, comfortable bed, adequate size, nice shower and bathroom. The staff/owners are really friendly as well. Polruan is quieter than Fowey but a walk around revealed some gorgeous scenery. I would highly recommend this place.

This is beyond the Inn's control so just a heads up for those travelling without their own transport. I hadn't realised that it would be necessary to cross to Fowey each day by ferry. That added unforeseen expense to my trip. The crossing each way is not expensive at £2.80 but there is no other way over to Fowey so it was transport costs I hadn't anticipated. Also although there was access to fresh milk by way of an independent fridge for the tea and coffee supplied, my room didn't have a small fridge which would have been nice. I don't know if the other rooms have.

Great location, the room was really nice and comfortable. There were not many pictures on their profile so wasn't sure whether to book, but so glad I did. My fiancé and I really enjoyed our stay. Great coffee facilities, and the breakfast was really nice as well. All staff really helpful.

Not enough pictures on their profile which meant we almost missed out on this great place to stay. Recommend it highly!

We arrived in the evening when the staff were really busy, but they were still helpful and welcoming. The rooms appeared to have been recently renovated and were nicely decorated and very comfortable, with good views towards Fowey. We hadn’t booked dinner, but the staff managed to find us a table and the food was good. We’ve stayed in Fowey a number of times but definitely preferred our stay here - we’ll be back!

This place is under new management and the staff couldn’t have done more to make me welcome and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble, and the quality of the room was top notch. What a fantastic night’s sleep, with the sound of the sea lapping gently on the quay. Good selection of beers and great food, well presented. Best place I’ve stayed on this latest SW Coastpath trip. Check it out - you won’t regret it! Right next to the quay where the Fowey-Polruan ferry arrives

We went as a family. Rooms were lovely and in the heart of Polruan. Staff were helpful and friendly. Meals in pub were lovely . Breakfast was not included and was £15 but was nice and freshly made to order.

Car parking was at top of hill . A few in front near harbour but tight to park . Its not a dislike but just beware if you are not fit to climb hills. It would not stop us from booking again.

We booked a night here to attend a wedding in the village. The hotel had a recent refurbishment to the bedrooms which was done to such a high standard. It was absolutely beautiful 😍. The beds were very comfortable, spacious rooms and squeaky clean, the staff were super friendly and breakfast was delicious. It's located right on the water front with a lovely view of Fowey and has a small little beach just outside to take a morning dip. I highly recommend staying here. Great value for money. Thank you for having us 🙏

Rooms were excellant. Obviously refurbished recently. Could not fault it. Bed great. Bathroom all new and modern. Pub is outstanding. Good food and drink both morning and night

No decaf coffee or tea in the rooms. Town is really smallsingle track roads.l so parking is very limited or you have to walk down steep hill from pay and display car park.
