Grand but cozy, this property is beautifully updated while maintaining the historic elegance from the 15th century. Our room was tiny but so beautiful. The bathroom and shower was up a half flight of stairs. There is a lovely fresco on the ceiling and through the window, a view of the square. Breakfast was delicious each morning with very personal service. All the staff we interacted with were very kind and helpful. Very tasteful and classic design with grand touches throughout.

You need to duck to use the bathroom facilities as the doorways are short - unless you are quite short, just be careful. And be careful not to stub your toe on the way in to the toilette.

The room was straight out of history, the paintings on the walls were exceptional, opening the window and looking out onto the piazza was fantastic. We were here during the Christmas market and the view, the smells, and the sounds of the people, music, and activity were wonderful.

The room was warm when we arrived, but was cold in the morning. We had closed the heavy curtains at night, and the inner wooden window covering, but the cold easily came through the single pane glass and there did not seem to be a way to engage the radiators to increase the temperature. This did give a little insight into what it might have felt like to live in that time when the palazzo was used by a royal family.

Valentina, our contact was delightful and very helpful as was the young man who was sometimes in the office. The woman ,Yvonne, who was our chef and server for the daily breakfast , was also warm and delightful. Unfortunately , we made a poor choice of rooms. Our room was without night tables and with a (private) bathroom that was up several steps and had low overhangs in the two doorways to the bathroom. My husband hit his head several times and I was concerned about missing a step on the stone stairs during the night. However, the location was great and all was clean.

The Palazzo is beautiful and located at the heart of Montepulciano - the Piazza Grande. The view from our suite was amazing - The rolling hills of Tuscany sprawled right in front of your eyes. The suite is so charming and very comfortable. The staff (Ms. Tanjot) afforded us a warm welcome and helped us with reservations for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was delicious and set in an idyllic dinning room that felt private and as if we were the only guests. The town looked even more magical decorated for Christmas. We can’t wait to visit again.

Great location overall, at the center of the old town. Absolutely great, very large, nicely decorated suite. View from the window - Tuscany. Everything included in bathroom, even single use slippers, we used them, floors are probably cold. Two room suite with huge historic "living room". It is a waste to stay for one day only but we traveled many places in Tuscany so had no more time. Host and staff is great, they can help with reservation as iy is hard to get into restaurants without reservations. Parking is close although may be full.

Everything was great. Be aware that this is a top point on the old town. There are steep street downhill to everything so you need to return uphill. This is how the old towns are located in Tuscany. It is rather on expensive side but worth it.

Well, the first thing I want to say is what a magnificent building and that the pictures are very accurate. And that we felt like the Medici ourselves! The rooms are large, elegant and from a design point, Italian ornate, we loved it. We liked to open the windows at sunset and stare. Our room had the landscape view, distant rolling hills and vineyards just like in a movie. Right out front door is the Grand Piaza. Remarkably helpful staff, especially Valentina who made our breakfast in the morning and was so attentive. Breakfast itself is excellent. Home baked fresh. We are over 70 Americans. Be sure to ask about parking and how to operate your card in machine. Enjoy!

We have traveled the world and split our time between Paris and California and this is the most beautiful and charming hotel room we've ever stayed in! It feels like you're living in 17th century villa. And right in the middle of the town centre. One can't even describe how amazing the decor is and the bathtub is huge! Yvonna and her team were AMAZING. Her restaurant recommendation was the best lunch we have ever had in Italy and their breakfast was perfect. Choose the front room facing the street, but hurry before the world discovers this hotel.

Nothing. It was all perfect.

The breakfast was wonderful. The staff, Natasha and Valentina in particular were wonderful. They were very friendly and warm people. I felt at home during my stay and it was very sad to leave. They were there for anything I needed.

There is nothing I would say I didn’t like

Excellent breakfast, wonderful staff. The location is perfect in the centre of Montepulciano. Cleaning is spotless. Antique furniture but in perfect condition.

No Air Conditioning and windows are old and single pane so you can hear everything from outside, its a historical building. Although fans are provided and the staff is wonderful, AC should be installed as it gets very hot inside and maybe better windows.

The staff! Valentina, Natasha, and Ludo were very welcoming and met every request for a perfect stay. Our room was clean and beautiful, beautiful view of the hillside. Breakfast was outstanding and Natasha was eager to make sure guests were full and happy. Also, the location was perfect!

I have no complaints.
