The Red Lion is a lovely traditional inn. The hosts are very friendly, make great food and the service is superb. The room was spacious and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt it was excellent value for money.

The one and only negative for us was that despite the room being perfectly clean on the main surfaces, we noticed a significant amount of dust and webs in corners, on pictures and behind furniture. This could put people off. A detailed dusting and hoovering would soon rectify this. Everything else about the property and staff was excellent.

Breakfast amazing, Steve an excellent chef and good conversationalist. Evening meal also excellent and very generous portions. Cosy old fashioned pub with real fire.

Housekeeping left a little to be desired with black around shower door and bits on stair carpet. However it was between Christmas and New Year so may not have had full cleaning staff in. The pub is a wonderful old building but Batemans the owners need to invest some money in its upkeep.

When we arrived, we was greeted with friendly smiles (I think the lady was the manager) and went out of their way to make our stay great.  I needed gluten-free food and was bought in specially. The food was cooked fresh and really tasty. We had our evening meal there and breakfast which both times were amazing. The pub inside had lots of character and was beautiful setting outside. The bed was super comfy, really soft and cosy bedding.  The room had everything you needed for a nights stay.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property, but if I had to say something the shower leaked on the floor in the bathroom a little but wasn’t a issue for us. 

Just about everything! Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and attentive. Bateman's real ale on tap was extremely well presented and very delicious, and there was also a good selection of alcohol free drinks. Evening meal menu was varied and my Lincolnshire sausages with mash absolutely delicious. Prices were very reasonable. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and also very delicious. We only stayed one night but would happily return. Definitely a recommended place - especially for those visiting the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Museum

We did have to wait a little while - say 25 mins - for the food to be brought (for 3 people having a full English) but I guess this was because it was being freshly prepared.

The pub itself is so beautiful and the welcome from the staff was so nice Our room was spacious and had everything we needed, including an ironing board and iron. The breakfast was immense, such a lot of food on offer and it was really tasty.

It's in the middle of nowhere so you need a car to stay there. We didn't find anywhere else to eat but we stayed in the pub for food which was great. We stayed in room 2 and the walls are very thin.

The breakfast was excellent. We had a meal the night before also, everything was exceptionally good. The portions were huge. All of the food was good quality and tasted and looked home made. The room we were in was comfortable and the bed was good. The shower was powerful and easy to operate. The beer was very good. The location is only a couple of minutes drive from the East Kirkby Aviation Museum is. Easy to have breakfast then get there for 9am.

Perhaps the room could do with updating a little. But it is hard to find fault when the room is clean and comfortable.

We were delighted with our stay at the Red Lion. A very warm welcome on arrival, with friendly helpful staff. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had an evening meal which was delicious. The food was lovely and the prices reasonable. Breakfast the following morning was equally as good. We would definitely stay again and can recommend the Red Lion.

Wow! The room was spacious, everything was clean, and the bed was very comfy. The staff were very helpful and attentive. We stayed for 3 nights and had a meal in the bar each evening and the food was excellent. The full English breakfast was exceptional. It’s very convenient for visiting Lincoln, and the airfields at Coningsby and East Kirkby, which were the reason for our trip.

There was nothing that we didn’t like. Everything was great!

It was in a lovely location close to the Lancaster Aviation Centre and other attractions we wanted to see Property was clean and tidy and gardens had lovely views Main road was not busy either so save for families visiting Food is another level, I am used to eating large meals but these even filled me up, I would recommend visiting just for an evening meal, you won’t be disappointed

Dinner in the restaurant was extremely good - far better than I had been expecting. The breakfast was also good. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Bedside lights had charging points - very handy. Recommended.

The shower kept changing temperature and pressure I assume as and when other people used the water at the same time.
