The room was beautiful and well designed (the extra price for the premium rooms with view is really worth it!). The bed was very comfortable. It was nice to have the club with the free coffee/hot drinks all day long. Amazing location as we could walk pretty much everywhere.

I know that they do that for environmental reasons, but a mini fridge in the room would have been greatly appreciated. It makes a big difference in your budget when you can keep some snacks and cold water in your room. The shower was also badly designed and leaked inside the bathroom (the temperature and pressure also changed randomly). The WiFi speed was really slow - and the TV had few channels (mostly news and sports).

Outstanding location on the river & a comfortable walk to key parts of the city, & major attractions as well as Part Dieu train station. Staff (in particular Allison) were super friendly and very helpful. Availability of all-day tea, coffee, fruit & snacks in the lovely lounge/dining area was excellent. Very spacious & quiet corner room with high ceilings & 4 beautiful big windows and a comfortable bed.

There were no proper wardrobes to hang clothes up; just a few hangers on a very small rack. Bathroom design was weird, had to walk through shower to get to the toilet?? It would’ve been good to have a bar fridge & bottle opener in the room as well as an ironing board & iron. Would have been good to have “fatter” pillows instead of the down ones which compress into pancakes. (We were happily given extra pillows so just slept on 2 each which was fine.) Our room was super quiet but if your room was anywhere near the lift it was noisy with announcing the floors & warnings re door closing etc - maybe the number of announcements could be reduced or the volume turned down?

Spacious river view 4 th floor suite , helpful staff , in-house cafeteria for breakfast or all day access to coffee,tea making as none are offered in the room .Ok Wifi .Good base to walk from into old town Lyon.Excellent soundproofing double openable windows for fresh air as there is no climate control of internal air circulation system …IE no aircon which could be an issue in summer heatwave .

Only one lift in large building with 6 floors to service right next reception desk which bottlenecks too easily on checkout .Other major “trust me ..I’m a designer “ flaw in otherwise classy Reno of classic architecture is the opportunity missed to provide a proper comfortable functional modern bathroom layout in ample space instead of an excessively glassed ( @ silly cost no doubt) wet room “Pod” with poor water pressure , and nearly enough room to swing a mascara wand ,let alone place toiletries .see photos . Lack of a bar fridge for 4 star was surprising also .

I am not a particularly frequent reviewer however I thought it was necessary to make an exception for my stay at the Okko Hotel in Lyon. The room was good with a very comfortable bed and an excellent shower. The club room with its endless supply of drinks and snacks was an absolutely wonderful place to relax and unwind in peace and comfort. However where this hotel reach a level of excellence was the customer service shown by every single member of staff I encountered at the hotel. From Julie on reception who checked us in, to the kitchen staff and the cleaners, I have rarely seen this level of attention even at the very best hotels. If you visit Lyon. Stay here. You will not regret it!

The hotel is perfect. The staff people are nice, friendly and helpful. Do not waste time thinking whether taking breakfast or not: just say yes :-). The breakfast is worth of money. The location is very convenient: the city transportation is around, and the old city is 15 min of walking. The room is absolutely clean; everything is working. The tradition (if so?) to have free access, anytime, to juices, coffee and snacks seems to be not usual, and it was very suitable for that hot weather in this period. Thanks to the hotel staff for hosting. And....air conditioning and wi-fi are all working perfectly.

The location was pretty good, across the river from old town and a 20 minute walk from the train station. The building was nice and the sitting area/ kitchen was a fun modern design.

The rooms’ bathroom was accessible through a shower that had poor drainage and a divider door to the toilet that didn’t work. When using the shower it poured water to the toilet. We ended up using all the towels to dry the floor so we didn’t slip when using the toilet.

The big and modern room. It is very quiet. They have a nice aperitivo concept and have free snacks and hot drinks all day long. The small fitness is a plus

The mattress is not comfortable and not up to 4-star standard. The water is the shower kept being suddenly boiling and burning ourselves. They really have to work on that, as these points does not make it worth the money

Location was great to walk/ cycle everywhere from and easy for transport too. Great bars and restaurants a stones throw away. Room had incredible view.

The room was large so a bit of a design flaw that the bathroom was so small. I think other reviews have mentioned this. Not a deal breaker and we would still recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Lyon.

We had a fifth floor room overlooking the quai. At night we could see some of the major sites, such as the basilica, lit up, as well as some bridges and residential buildings. It was quite a wonderful view. The location was, as several reviewers had pointed out, almost perfect. Very convenient to shopping, dining, and visiting parts of the city. The cocktail hour for guests was nice.

I like the room a lot. It was nice, quite, clean, big enough and with all necessary equipment in the right places. Locations was good too. Breakfast was excellent, like always in France. Staff is polite, friendly and speak English. Everything was awesome, even slightly better than I could expect.

The view from the window was of no interest (probably just my room). But I don't lower the rating for such an unimportant detail.
