Exceptionally clean, surrounded by pubs, restaurants and bars but didnt hear a sound, really quiet. Lovely comfortable bed

No kettle in room and no t bags. Not everyone drinks coffee. I.did ask for a kettle and one was put in room but personally I think it should be standard. Also my room was so small that I had to climb over the bed to get in as there wasn't enough room either side of the bed. It was clearly a single bedroom but had a double bed in.it. apart from that all was good and I would stay.there again .

I stayed in room no.3. It was lovely and clean, the double bed was comfortable, the bathroom was great. There were all the needed products to have a shower.

I would really really really prefer to have a kettle. I spent way too much time figuring out how to use the nespresso coffee machine, and that was limiting my options to just coffee. I was trying to just boil water through it to make tea, but it wasn't that hot. Maybe I need more practise. I guess for coffee lovers, it's amazing to have a proper coffee machine in the room, but I would really appreciate an opportunity to make tea as well. Other than that, everything else was fab!

The size of the room was great and the fact you can’t hear any of the noise of the very busy street was amazing. The room was tidy and clean and the double sinks in the bathroom were a nice touch. The air conditioning worked well on one of the hottest days of the year and was very useful. The room had lots of natural light and cute decor.

The building is a little difficult to locate with the door being adjoined to another entrance and partially hidden. We got there at night and struggled a little to find the entrance to the Hugo. Also, the hotel is on a Main Street in Canterbury with no car access so if you are driving there you will need to park in a car park that it a little walk away, not fantastic if you are carrying luggage like we were. The only issue inside the room itself was that the shower floor became so incredibly slippery after and during use that it was almost a safety hazard. Some adhesive mats would have helped there or maybe a shower floor redesign.

It was helpful to park our car and then look for property. Once we had identified the location which is really at the top of the High Street, we brought the car as near to the property as we could to take out our luggage. First class accommodation and instructions. One of the nicest properties where we have stayed in and we are seasoned travellers.

The wall between us and the bedroom next door could have proved to be a problem if in any way the neighbours were loud speakers. However, like us, the neighbours appeared to chat at a decent level like ourselves and although you could here them now and then, this proved not to be a problem. The owners appear to have covered this by leaving printed notes for renters to simply slip under the door of the neighbour if there was a problem. Seems a good idea but we never needed to use it.

Lovely well equipped kitchen/ dining area with beautiful wooden beams on the ceiling. Split on 2 levels so bedrooms are private and quiet with very comfortable beds. Excellent location right in the town centre near to shops, pubs and restaurants. Stunning views of the Cathedral and the vibrant city centre. Would definitely go back.

Very steep staircase with low ceiling so not great for tall people, elderly or young children. Also the step to the bathroom is very high and can be easily missed if you're not paying attention.

No breakfast provided. Great coffee available in room. This is an exceptional property. Ben, the manager, is a great guy. The room was very large, fabulously furnished with a lot of thoughtful, careful detail. Bathroom modern, large, with TWO sinks. Very quiet, only four suites up above a shop. Good temperature controls with A/C.

Nothing, really. It was lovely. Right in the middle of things on the high street. A short walk to everything, including the train station and the cathedral.

Location right in the centre of Old Town was excellent! Tourist spots were all within walking distance. Easy and clear instructions for self check in. The kitchen, living room, bedrooms and bathroom were very clean.. Though the living room and one bedroom were facing the street, it wasn't noisy. We actually like to watch the activities on the street below. Special mention of the very comfortable and plush beds!! Such a welcome after a long day out.

This was a great little find, you couldn’t ask for a better location. The 2 bedroom apartment is split over 2 floors so it basically feels like you’re in a house. Lovely clean and modern bathroom. Welcome pack with milk, orange juice, tea etc on arrival which was a really nice touch. Great communication and instructions from host.

A little noisy at night due to the location but to be expected when you’re in a city centre and we were out anyway so didn’t bother us, but something to be aware of. Really minor but there isn’t a hairdryer so be sure to bring your own.

Located at the centre of Canterbury, minutes away from major attractions such as Canterbury Cathedral and from Canterbury West train station. Surrounded by pubs and other eating places, and a minute away from the Marlowe Theatre. Very attractive property, with a spacious bathroom and shower. Bed very spacious and comfortable. I also liked the toiletries provided very much.

Although the bed was big and comfortable, there was hardly any space between it and the wall and it was quite uncomfortable getting in and out. Also, since there is no staff on site, you cannot leave your luggage at the property if you arrive early. I missed having an electric kettle as only a coffee machine was provided and I don't drink coffee.

Perfect location to explore Canterbury. Parking space available at just 5 a minute walk away. Rooms are small, but stylish and very practically furnished and the bathroom is rather spacious. Checkin is automated, instructions were very clear and all was well prepared. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you plan to spend more than 2/3 nights, because then I would feel it is a bit too small, but it had all the convenience we were looking for during our short stay.

The walls are rather thin, so it is easy to hear noise from the other rooms and the hallway. Keep that in mind when you move around and maybe bring earplugs.
