Where to begin about this delightful property? An absolute gem. Whilst it might be a long drive down from Miami, my goodness, when you get to Island City House it’s a true oasis. We had a ground floor suite in the Cigar House, literally seconds before you were in the pool! Everything we needed was provided, clean, tidy, nice AC, fantastic. Key West is wonderful, a real vibrant yet relaxing part of the world, cannot wait to return.

Perhaps only the lack of on street parking. Most on is reserved for residents which is absolutely fair enough, we parked in a multi storey car park about 2 blocks away, which wasn’t cheap at $42 per day, but convenient enough to our location to be acceptable.

We stayed in the Cigar House. We absolutely loved the room and the hammock/view. It was incredibly relaxing. There were four of us and it was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was great. There was only one bathroom, but that was absolutely no issue because there was plenty of room to do makeup, hair, etc, outside of the bathroom. We truly loved the physical location as well and were able to walk to all places we wanted without any difficulty.

Our room would not be a great location for those who are differently abled as there is no elevator to assist with going up and down the stairs (which are a bit narrow as an older property) and the brick is a little uneven. So if you have need for assistance in these areas, be sure to reach out to the property to see if another onsite location is a bit friendlier for those who are differently abled. The property is wonderful and will be happy to answer your questions.

The ladies at the front desk were so sweet, I spoke with 3 of them. They gave us extra room keys, they helped us with bike rentals. They gave me extra pool towels and let us keep our bags in the office after we checked out and before we left for our flight. The woman who worked for housekeeping was very sweet as well when she came in to clean up and change our towels. We absolutely loved the atmosphere, the historic building and large porch that our room had. We loved the courtyard area with the ponds and fish, the water machine was great. The pool was amazing and loved that there was a bathroom and multiple showers by the pool. The bike rentals worked perfectly for us. One of my favorite parts was our little black kitty friend who came to visit us. The location near Duval street was absolutely perfect. Loved this place!

The only thing we wished is that our room had 2 bathrooms instead of 1. We had room #17, the 2 bedroom suite. Everything else was great.

We really enjoyed the secluded yet tropical atmosphere and waterfall with gold fish. The rooms were big & clean with a kitchen and living room at the Cigar house. The pool was great. Clean towels daily if you want them. The hammocks were so comfortable. The Island City House was close and walking distance (12 minutes) or biking distance (5 minutes) to the main activities including Duvall St. and the coast as well. It is in a safe area. Great place to relax and call Home Base! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We liked everything except one staff but the rest of the staff were nice.

I really enjoyed being able to go out onto the balcony, having access to the pool and the location of the property. Bike rental on property, beautiful garden and patio area.

Wish the pool was deeper then 5 foot, there was a full kitchen but no oven. The pictures on the site did not fully reflect the room we stayed in which was more then I expected. Had I known there was a full kitchen we would have planned our stay differently. No place to park on property so wouldn’t recommend getting a rental.

I don't know where to start. This place is amazing! It's situated just a few steps away from Duval Street where you can find many many bars, restaurants and shops. We booked the Cigar House and this was the best choice ever. Our room looks over the pool, it comes with a nice patio and a hammock! The Staff was super nice.. they have a beautiful garden where you can relax after the day. We really can't wait to be back! Thank you

The grounds transport you to a tropical jungle inside the little town of Old Key West. The location was perfect walking distance to either the Marina or to Duvall St.

Be careful of what you wear in the pool. My whole groups bathing suits & hats were all "bleached" beyond repair. A few of us had bought new items specifically for the trip and are trash now. RINSE whatever you wear in the pool immediately after you get out ( or wear old items in the pool)

The property is beautiful and well kept. It is located within walking distance to everything. We stayed in the cigar house tucked into the back of the property. Fantastically hidden gem in the secret garden. Full kitchen in the room was great for a quick breakfast before heading out for the day.

The only minor complaint I have is that we couldn't turn the light off right outside our bedroom door and it lit up the room all night. My husband put a beach towel over the window and it helped a bit. Also, that was the main door to get into the room. Not ideal if trying to nap. Don't get me wrong, will definitely stay again. I will make sure to book the king room next time

Great location, beautiful historic house. Very clean and private. We enjoyed our stay very much! After checking out we went on a date trip on a boat, came back to change in the evening. They let us borrow towels and there is a shower in cabana. That was very helpful, thank you!!!

Im an average height. The bed in the master bedroom was up to my chest high... not easy to climb up. A step stool would be helpful.

Location, size of rooms is quite large

Size of pool and number of chairs was too small for the number of guests. As such, we were unable to enjoy the pool as there were rarely chair’s available. Being a historic building, we could hear pretty much everything from the room above. With kids in the room above it was quite noisy.
