Staff were friendly upon arrival. Nice spacious room. Convenient grass area outside for animals so we didn’t have to walk far. Convenient Tavern located across the road with yummy food. Quiet area and easy to get to.

Room wasn’t spotless clean, just surface level clean. Asked for a room with a sofa bed/fold out couch which we got but no extra bedding supplied for it so didn’t use. Light and fan in bathroom stopped working mid stay. Did seem a little over priced for what you got compared to others, don’t think the extra $30 per pet per night is necessary considering the price already. But overall was a lovely stay and would stay again!

As it was for my brother's funeral, the location was right next door to the funeral home. It was also conveniently located across the road from Edwards Tavern which has amazing food. Only a short drive to Wodonga CBD and APCO is just down the road.

The only issue I could see was that if you had mobility problems, it would be hard to step up into the shower. Other than that, it was wonderful.

We’ve stayed before but was a few years ago. They allow you to bring your pets, which is great, with a grass area opposite rooms for them to run and play. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast provisions were also great. They are opposite a tavern for evening meals (but it closes early so don’t hope for a late dinner). Rooms look like they’ve been recently renovated too, which was a nice surprise.

A little bit out of town but for an overnight stay it suited us perfectly.

We just needed a place to stop over enroute back to Melbourne from Canberra. We stayed in the centre of Albury on the way up but it was an older motel and was very noisy. We selected Econo Lodge Border Gateway Wodonga because it was away from any traffic noise. We loved this location because of the peace and quiet, a great bed in a spacious room. We arrived around dinner time and spoke to Duncan about somewhere to eat and he suggested the Edwards Tavern Hotel across the street. Duncan's suggestion was 'Gold', we had the best steaks, a few drinks and walked home very satisfied. Loved the accommodation, the location (quiet) and the great nights sleep.

The only minor issue was the shower. The normal overhead part of the shower was fantastic but the bracket holding the hand held shower head was faulty and could not hold the shower head in a desired position. We spoke to the motel about it and they knew of the issue and were in the process of replacing and updating.

Super clean, beds were very comfortable and such a great price for a family. Super quiet location, no traffic noise. One of the best motels I have stayed at in the area.

If I had to pick any thing, it’s maybe location. Right on the edge of town, not a walking distance to any convenience but still perfect if your just passing through

Arrived quite late in the evening as it was a stop off on a long journey with my dog, however I was warmly welcomed by the owner and given fresh milk. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean and pleasant, and bed was comfortable. Unfortunately I managed to lock myself out of the room very early the next morning while preparing to leave, but I phoned the hotel number and the owner got up and let me back in. I'm so impressed by the care and attentiveness of the staff and overall quality of the motel considering it is pet friendly, I'd certainly recommend it to others road tripping with their pets!

It's not in a beautiful area or anything, it really is a functional stop-off type of location, but that's just what I needed! Could have done with some more cutlery, I ate my microwave meal with a teaspoon ;-)

Great room and comfortable beds. I especially loved the bathroom shower, it’s better than what the 5 star hotels in Sydney have. The overall cleanliness I’m quite impressed with, as I did notice in Australia that this aspect in various accommodation is not up to the standard..But as I said this stay was something different, clean and comfortable. Will definitely come back if ever in Wodonga or near.

EV charging on premises, friendly staff and very clean and modern room. We picked this location because of the charging station in front of the room.

Charging a fee for EV charger usage overnight is always a challenge, there are actual costs to the electricity plus the investment in a charger. That said overnight charging cost was comparable with a 50% charge at a Tesla Supercharger so fair play.

The room and bathroom were a generous size. A table and sofa were appreciated inclusions. Welcoming our little dog was great. The bed was very comfortable. The wifi, air con and water pressure were spot on.

I always hate when the bathroom exhaust & light are on the same switch. It’s not great that the noise of the fan disturbs others if you need to use the bathroom at night. Other dog owners should understand how hard it is to find a hotel of this quality that allows the dogs to stay. Leaving a dog locked in a room and then going out or allowing your dog to bark constantly is why many hotels don’t allow our dogs to stay! I think Duncan is so accommodating but may need to reiterate at check in to dog owners not to leave them unattended.

Parking close to our room for ease of access to car was great, very adequate sizes room, all you need, large size drinking glasses which I loved, comfortable beds, updated bathroom with plenty of hot water and pressure, manager very helpful, friendly, we would return as it suited all of our family’s needs.
