The Bed was superbly comfortable, the shower was perfectly large with excellent water pressure and even temperature, and the breakfast delicious. Even the nespresso machine had an interesting selection of coffee types and flavours. All in all the place has wonderful character, extremely comfortable with a beautiful garden, and really well located in the safe part of Joburg.

It would need to be really nit-picking to find anything negative to say about the place....one can hear the water pipes when one of the rooms next door are showering, but that's really nothing to get upset about in any way.

You can’t bring any snacks or drinks into the property, which we understand. However, there aren’t any snacks and very limited drinks to be able to buy. We even struggled to get large bottles of water. I also felt the breakfast option wasn’t the best and although the staff were very friendly, we often had to go find them in the staff quarters as there was no one around in the main house.

The staff was accommodating and provided for all of our needs. The pool was having some extensive work done during our visit so it was not able to be used. The property experienced some significant impacts from the load-shedding that happens throughout the country and it caused significant disruptions to our stay. The staff was very accommodating and tried to work around the issues. The room was beautiful and comfortable to stay in.

The most significant impact was the load shedding that the whole country is experiencing right now. While the property had a generator and the power returned fairly quickly, it was still a nuisance and caused devices to not be able to charge or interruptions viewing activities on TV.

We pre-ordered dinner which was 3 courses, absolutely divine. Our room was pool side, it was quiet & the most comfy bed & linen etc. My husband is a 'pillow snob' so was very happy with the pillows which a lot of Hotel/Establishments fail miserably at getting right. Generous toiletries but no tissues in room/bathroom. Breakfast was delicious, ticked every box. Property is located in a quiet, safe location. Wish we could have had another couple of nights here, Oh well there is always next time. Thank You

Only a couple of minor things, fridge was not turned on, no waste paper basket only a very small one in bathroom & again no tissues.

I had a fantastic stay at this boutique guest house. Andrew, the super host, and his team really went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. The house was beautifully furnished and had a warm, inviting feel. I especially loved the real orchids placed around the building—they added a lovely touch. My room was exceptional: stylish, clean, and very cozy. The attention to detail and the friendly service made my stay memorable. I highly recommend this guest house for a special getaway.

The room was beautiful as the intere property. The bed was amazing, very cozy and comfortable. The room was big and very clean. The house is extremely beautiful and peaceful. The pool is also a plus. The breakfast was delicious too.

The only minor issue was the mini fridge in our room Everything in the room was great, except the mini fridge, that needed some repair cause it was freezing the things inside: not a big problem but needed repair

Great location, amazing place full in the gardens, really quiet and private. My room in front of the pool was amazing, really spacious and cozy. The bed was really comfortable and large, the shower is huge and room's cleaning was perfect.

The lack of curtains and the sole presence of curtains causes the sunlight to wake you up really early in the morning. Also, it gets a bit noisy outside due to few animals; it is completely understandable and it is manageable, but are if you are quite sensitive to noises and lights you need to think about it.

The hotel is located in a secure and peaceful area with a beautiful garden. The room is very big with a comfortable bed. Breakfast does not offer many choices, however, it is of good quality. Particularly my omelette was super delicious. Staff helped me to organise transport from the airport and back, as well as a few hours drive to Soweto, of course against extra charges. Not cheap for one person, but the service was excellent and the driver was very kind and informative.

The room walls need some repairing due to humidity. The windows were very dirty. The staff was slow in providing breakfast service.

It's a beautiful property, in great shape with a lovely garden and in a very peaceful area. Security was good, for those concerned about Johannesburg's reputation. Beds were very comfortable and rooms stylish and luxurious. The staff were generally friendly and helpful and the inclusive breakfast was very good. We had booked for two stays, one week apart, and decided to go through with the second visit because we were very satisfied with the first. The second visit was equally good. It feels like a home more than a hotel, somewhere to really relax and feel comfortable after a long day exploring the city or the countryside or after a long flight.

The only problem that arose were the sounds of an animal scuttling about above our ceiling in our room in the main house. A bit off-putting given it was a beautiful, luxurious room. Other than that it was great. We knew the hotel did not serve dinner but they could maybe offer a service for guests who want to eat in rather than go out to a restaurant - e.g. simply helping to order in food from restaurants, rather than suggesting we do it ourselves. For people coming in tired from overseas, it would be good to say, 'We'd like some nice Chinese or a great pizza' and a local who knows the good places place the order.

A beautiful way to spend our last few days in Africa. Andrew went above and beyond assisting us to store a small amount, whilst we went travelling for 20 days! Suite and grounds were beautiful as per pics and Prince was always on hand to make us a sundowner on our return from sightseeing each evening. Breakfasts cooked on demand, beautiful and secure surroundings. Highly recommend.
