The bed in the Captain's Cabin is the most comfortable bed I have slept in. We were warm and cosy during our stay. The shower in the bathroom is very good. The location was good for the things we wanted to do during our stay and there was plenty of free parking

It was a real disappointment to discover that the restaurant and bar were not open. George did his best to make up for this and upgraded us to the Captain's Cabin which we appreciated and it was lovely to have extra space. However, we read lots of comments about the wonderful beer and the amazing pizzas and couldn't sample them ourselves. George did leave the makings of breakfast in the cabin for us but it wasn't the standard of breakfast we would expect at somewhere advertising itself as a Bed and Breakfast.

The owners could not have been nicer and more helpful, and we were amazed by the quality of a delicious pork Asian bite dinner. As the rooms were dog-friendly, we did not expect them to be glamorous, but they were fine. There is a path immediately across the road to a sandy dune and beach with boats, so walking our dog was easy and he loved the shore where no one was around at night and he could run a little bit. Very important for dog owners!

It was a bit chilly at first due to single-pane windows but the owner soon got our heat going.

Comfortable room, nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast was good and hosted by owner, George who explained the interesting history of the property and area. He provided a personal touch each morning in a friendly and jovial manner. Communication good throughout. We made use of the Wightknuckle bar and enjoyed a very good meal there one evening.

Perhaps the outside spaces could have been more attractive.

Lovely staff, excellent beer and huge and tasty pizzas. It was nice being able to walk across the road and onto the beach in the evening and morning and we had wonderful sunrises and sunsets. The room was comfortable and the shower was good.

The communications came at somewhat random times with some of it arriving after we arrived and the same message appearing multiple times. There was a lot of single use plastic, which was disappointing. Breakfast was uninspiring and all from packets.

Prime location in Bembridge, right by the harbour and beach Easy check-in using a door code, so we could be flexible about when we arrived Clean, cosy and comfortable room Great beers from the pub/microbrewery Extremely friendly and helpful staff

Breakfast was only served for 1 hr and was quite minimal: cereals and toast (2 hrs and some of the local croissants would have been ideal!) Wifi was patchy, but it is a rural location and we were meant to be on holiday, so not a big deal

George was very helpful, with suggestions of things to do and friendly. Room was neat, comfortable, security system easy to use. Good cup of tea prepared . Beer prices low and selection good.

Rough parking lot, pot holes, old abandoned van, back service entrance to the rooms.Busy road outside window. No view of sea. Waterfront area tired, industrial feel .

Nice and bright room (we were in the Bridge room). Very relaxed and the beds were very comfortable. Lovely clean and tidy shower with modern features. The location is lovely and you can walk to the beach. Lovely host, George, who made us feel very welcome.

We had wi-fi difficulties. We connected fine but did not stay connected so had to use our mobile data. Lap-top seemed to stay connected better than our phones though so possibly our phones were not that good at holding the signal.

The Pilot Boat Inn only provides a continental breakfast. The bar/restaurant only provided drinks as kitchen was closed awaiting arrival of new chef.

The messages via Booking.com kept saying how good and busy the restaurant was but was out of date info. The pizza option had not been available for sometime.

Location was perfect for us as we were walking the coastal path. After a very long day of negotiating the land slips, it was a welcome sight at the of a lovely path on route.

Remote control for the TV didn't work and the curtain rail wasn't totally fixed in and the curtains fell down. We managed to fix it but had to be very gentle.

nice clean room comfortable bed good en suite. Continental/breakfast good Met by George the owner at breakfast very friendly jovial fellow, served us whatever coffee we needed. Only thing we missed out on is that the restaurant and tap room to the attached mini brewery didnt open till wednesday for the week, did however buy a keg of the brew which i'm sure will go down well. All in all a good stay and would recommend a stay.
