We were visiting fiends who have a small property in Marnes . Aux Caprices des Deux was just round the corner and we had a very happy 4 day stay here . Our room was clean ,bright and airy with an en-suite and view of the court yard with its vines, flowers and trees . There was a selection of cheese, cold meat , homemade bread , yogurt, orange juice , coffee , tea etc at breakfast. The proprietor and her family made us feel very welcome . It is a busy B&B . We met German , Dutch and French couples and families who use it as a stopover when travelling through France . We will definitely stay here again when visiting Marnes .

A bit aprehensive when arriving in October. the house looked a little shabby but inside was full of old world charm. Almost like something from the 1950s. Our host was very accommodating with a cold beer offered right at the beginning and help trying to find a restaurant nearby that was open in October. Unfortunately, nothing was open nearby except a kebab shop around 15 minutes away but no reflection on the host or the property. She was happy for us to eat at her table with the offer of another cold beer!

Josephine and Julia (Josephine’s dog) were absolutely amazing hosts and looked after Amanda myself and our dog Bingo very well in the short time we stayed at the property. this was a last minute booking of which we arrived late at night to be offered well needed food and drink which was home cooked and truly amazing. the breakfast was fit for a king

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, authentic French home. Our host couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of breads, pastries, cheese and yoghurts with homemade preserves. We also enjoyed a lovely 3 course home cooked meal on our arrival, all beautifully presented. We were all sad to leave and will hopefully visit again when holidaying in France.

Beautiful farmhouse. The host Josephine met us with local wine and cooked us a delicious meal. The room was large with an en suite with a bath. There was a barn to store our bicycles in
There was a plague of flies the day we stayed, but there were thunderstorms which could explain that.

A pretty room in a lovely house in a rural village. We asked for a meal in the evening which was home cooked to a very high standard - 3 courses with great local wine. Wonderful fresh seafood soup followed by fresh fish and vegetables and rice pudding. Because of a change of plans due to covid restrictions we had to leave at 4am the following morning. Our lovely host insisted on providing us with a full cooked breakfast with fruit, fresh bread, jams and cheese which was much appreciated. Parking in the courtyard.
Everything was good! We would have loved to stay longer

Lovely traditional house in a nice village. Possibility to eat in the house's backyard and to do your laundry if you need. Very friendly and helpful owners. Heaps of tourist attractions accessible within a short drive. A great place to stay!

The charming, welcoming and very generous owner. The evening meal is home-made and very good value. The owner also makes all the confitures etc for breakfast. She sent me away with a pot of home-made jam and fresh blackberries and made every effort to help me during my stay. The bed is very comfortable and I have never slept in such fine sheets! Amazing!
The location of the house: on the main road with noisy dogs at the neighbours. When the road went quiet at night, the dogs started to bay and howl.
