Did not opt for breakfast. The location is just opposite the Colosseum so it has a lot of options in terms of breakfast places.
It would have been great if the listing mentioned which room has the Colosseum view and which does not. My room was very comfortable, but if the listing mentioned which room had a view, then I would definitely book that one instead.

The best possible location in Rome only 30seconds walk to the coliseum. The room was spacious and clean with a smart TV. The soundproofing is really excellent- even with fireworks going on outside we could barely hear any street noise in the room. Staff were friendly and even gave us some champagne to ring in the New Year!

LUDUS rooms was one of the best stays we’ve had throughout our 5 week journey around Europe. The location is truly unbeatable, there just isn’t anything comparable to waking up to a view of the colosseum- that was only 100m away (as is the metro if you arrive by train). The host we checked in with was the kindest person we met whilst in Rome. She recommended both restaurants and places to see, all of which were incredible! The world renowned ‘The Court’ bar is only 100m away also, with a magnificent view of the colosseum at night. There is a kitchen to make tea/coffee and biscuits at your disposal and daily room service. We didn’t want to leave! If you’re looking at this place, do yourself a favour and book it.
Nothing!

My recent stay at Ludos Rooms was truly unique. From the moment we arrived, Laura's warm welcome and comprehensive introduction to the property set the tone for our exceptional experience. Her thoughtful recommendations for our stay, tailored to our interests, added a personal touch that enhanced our Roman adventure. The highlight of our accommodation was undoubtedly the breathtaking view from the terrace window. This picture was our actual view from our room! The Colosseo loomed majestically, almost in a lifelike 3D, making it feel like we had a private view of ancient Rome. The comfort of the room itself exceeded expectations, providing us with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Laura’s hospitality and insightful recommendations for local dining, activities, and transportation made our visit truly unforgettable. Her tips on navigating the city like a local were invaluable. In conclusion, my stay at Ludos Rooms was a dream come true. The excellent service, stunning views, and comfortable accommodations made it a perfect choice for anyone seeking an immersive Roman experience. I would recommend Ludos Rooms to anyone visiting this beautiful city.
I would recommend that you pack light; navigating three flights of stairs in an old building with two heavy, large suitcases was not for the weak. However, despite the challenge, I would still recommend this stay. It was worth it!

This was a little last minute as we missed our flight. They called us right away, agreed on the arrival time, and scrambled to get everything ready for us. The place is very comfortable, nice touches, and most importantly it is quite well isolated from the chaos downstairs (you would hear just a little of the bass frequencies). Most importantly, you grt your coffee in the morning, lean out of your window, and on your left you have the majestic Colosseum.
The bathroom is kind of a "carved out space" so the insulation is not super great, but this was really a minor observation, we were really just very happy with this room and with the staff.

- Beautiful clean room overlooking the Ludus Magnus (also known as the Great Gladiatorial Training School, was the largest of the gladiatorial schools in Rome) and Colosseum - A great place to start exploring Rome - Very comfortable bed - In room kettle, tea, mini fridge - In the corridor of the hotel mini kitchen, microwave, dishes, coffee maker - Daily cleaning service - Street noises are hardly audible at all thanks to the doubling of the window frames - In the adjacent street you will find bars (with excellent coffee), restaurants, in the next street nonstop supermarket Carrefour - Nice and helpful lady at the reception, very pleasant to talk to.
I have nothing to complain about.

We’ve just returned from Rome having stayed in one of the rooms here - all I can say is WOW! The location is incredible, we booked a room with a colosseum view and it did not disappoint! It is also within walking distance to other main sights, and there are plenty of food and drink options nearby. The room itself was huge and very clean, toiletries were provided in our private bathroom and the shared kitchen facilities were brilliant for making an espresso in the morning before heading out! There is no lift in the building however this was not an issue for us - just something worth bearing in mind for those with mobility issues. We have recommended Ludus Rooms to all of our family and friends who wish to visit. Cannot recommend enough!
Nothing - it was perfect for us!

Nice location except that it’s on the 3rd floor with no elevator. Quite okay of you don’t have much luggage and still able to walk up several stairs. It’s a stone throw away from the Coliseum and restaurants on the ground practically the whole block. The taxi stand is just at the next corner. The receptionist was very helpful, even carried some of our luggage upstairs. Overall, it’s a nice pick for a few days stay. Of course, you don’t have the amenities of a large hotel like free breakfast and pool/ exercise facilities and elevator.
No elevator.

The room was just what we needed and more. A view of the colosseum and above some local restaurants and bars, this hotel is in a perfect location for a couples getaway. The staff were welcoming and gave us a nice tour of how to use the coffee machine and other utilities included in the booking. A special note for the cleaning lady who always left us with a smile as we left the hotel each morning/afternoon!
The door to get into the building was a little fiddly, leaving my partner embarrassed and me in hysterics as everyone eating dinner watched us as she struggled to unlock the door.

We loved this accommodation. The room was pretty spacious, modern and bright (despite the fact that its windows faced the inner courtyard). We had everything we needed. The coffee making facilities were available in a small kitchen just outside the room. The bed is comfy and big. We will definitely be back.
I noticed that some people have complained over the noise. The walls are thin, no doubt, but if all the guests take that into account, and keep the noise level down, then everybody are happy. Outside noise was minimal (don't forget that you are right next to Colosseo, the busiest area in the city) and didn't prevent us from having a good sleep.
