A lovely boutique hotel in an excellent location in central Rome near the Colosseum. Rooms are well appointed and the continental breakfast is excellent. Roberto is a very kind, friendly and helpful host and went out of his way to make our stay happy and comfortable. Will definitely return when next in Rome.

Liked everything and have suggested to Roberto that Kleenex boxes be placed in the rooms.

Celio is ideally located near the colosseum and many restaurants. You can walk to the colosseum from the hotel itself. I loved the rooms and the decor, the hotel has several paintings which are a sight to view. I was so intrigued by the paintings on the walls. The rooms are comfortable enough. The staff is just exceptional, they were always super hospitable and helpful with any requests or recommendations I requested. The breakfast was great as well. Highly recommend it if you’re visit the colosseum or other sights for your Rome visit.

The breakfast was great by Italian standards. A boiled egg, cheese, bread roll, strawberries, yoghurt and cornetto with tea, coffee and orange juice. The location is excellent with the metro about a 15 minute walk away and the Colosseum at the end of the street. Great selection of bars and trattoria close by. A safe area. the roof top bar down the road had live music on Saturday night.

Our room was so tiny. We were there for 4 nights and it was a complete pain with 2 peanut a couple of suitcases. The bed was a double ie not a queen and pushed up against the wall. The size of the room is not the same as the photo.

The location near the colosseum was perfect. And by restaurants and the gay bars. I liked the roof deck too although it was about 100 degrees when I was there and being outside was uncomfortable during the day. The shower was good and bed was comfortable. Great AC as well, which was critical during this trip. Breakfast was one boiled egg and some bread/croissant with juice and coffee in the basement.

The property requires you to call and wake someone up when you are coming in after a certain hour. Maybe after midnight. Your key doesn’t give you access. It’s for safety but i felt like it was an imposition to wake someone a number of times.

We had an amazing 2-week stay at the Celio hotel! The staff was friendly and accommodating, and it was always a pleasure to be greeted by Roberto or his wife -- it felt like we were at home. Our room was stylish and comfortable, with beautiful high ceilings and the extra bonus of a partial view of the Colosseum. We particularly enjoyed the location of the hotel -- on a quiet street, just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Rome and within walking distance of all the places of interest that we wanted to visit! Celio has a gorgeous roof terrace, with excellently maintained garden, where, in the downtime, we enjoyed reading or sipping our espresso. We wish we didn’t have to leave this beautiful boutique hotel, but we certainly plan to return to it in the future! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

When you step out of the hotel you can see the Colosseum two blocks down the street and it is a great location. It was July and the AC worked very nicely. There are no AC controls in the room, but we were quite satisfied with the temperature. The breakfast was quite satisfactory...a boiled egg, various type of bread, butter, and jam, fruit, coffee, and juice. The breakfast is brought to your table, it is not a buffet. The staff is helpful and friendly. We stayed there for 4 nights.

The hotel was perfect for our needs. We didn't plan to spend much time in the hotel on our first trip to Rome. We had the least expensive room and it was no surprise that the queen bed, desk, and nightstands filled it up. The bathroom was about the size of a lower deck cruise ship bathroom. If you plan to spend more time in the hotel, I suggest you upgrade the room/bathroom.

The location could not be better. You can see the colosseum just at the end of the road, from the hotel, only a few hundred meters away. lOVED the quaint traditional Italian interior. The staff were so helpful and kind. They let us leave our luggage after checkout for a while and even let me use the bathroom in one of the rooms after we had already checked out.

I would have loved a slightly bigger bed as we chose the twin option for me and my mum. But with small rooms there would not have been space for 2 doubles. The shower was a bit small and dated but very clean and good water pressure/ easy to use. It got a little hot in the room over night but nothing too uncomfortable.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. a stones throw away from the Colosseum with some rooms offering views (by way of sticking your head out the window and having a look, but still pretty cool!) Bedside charging points were available as well as free WiFi. breakfast was included in the price and whilst basic was very filling and a great start to the day. The rooms and hallways of the hotel are beautifully decorated and great care has evidently gone into this. Noise pollution from the outside was very minimal despite being in a busy area and close to restaurants. Toiletries and towels were included in the price and the room had a cool looking bath/shower combo. Would have been a nice bonus if the jacuzzi jets were functional but I taken a bath and shower during my stay and both were comfortable so not a complaint. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Considering the location, price and overall comfort of the hotel I would happily stay here again.

The decor of the hotel. The room was small but beautifully decorated, and there was a comfortable bed. They had a spa shower it was amazing! They included a breakfast which was lovely.

There is a beautiful root top terrace. Which. I would’ve taken more advantage of if there hadn’t been so many stairs to climb, and it was hot during my visit.

The location of hotel Celio is great, close to Colosseum. Although it was very quiet and nice surroundings. The room was comfortable with all the necessary facilities, the WiFi reliable. The breakfast was great, the staff is polite and helpful. It was an amazing experience for me and my family.

No lift, but not a big deal. Our room was in the second floor and the gentleman in the reception helped us with luggages, which we really appreciated.
