We stayed in the balcony room which was light filled and spacious. Well presented and spotlessly clean. Good selection of teas and coffees to have in the room. Lovely continental breakfast of cereal, lots of fresh fruit , yoghurt and toast with preserves. Juen was friendly and welcoming and had some good local knowledge about points of interest and places to eat.

No places close by for evening meal. Needed to go to Paihia or KeriKeri around 25 minutes away.

Very well appointed heritage property with huge, well maintained grounds. The breakfast was amazing though our group had some dietary restrictions. Very good spread, generous set of fresh fruits and great coffee. Juan and Anya are fantastic hosts. Good location as well, 20 minutes drive to Paihia, Kerikeri and Kawakawa. Highly recommend Paheke Boutique Lodge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Everything was great! Have a small suggestion. Adding a couple of benches under the trees on the property ground would make it even better to enjoy the property grounds.

The breakfast was delicious and so much we could not eat it all. Bed was really comfortable. Our room was so nice and we were able to open the doors and go out onto the deck. We loved staying at the historic bed and breakfast and enjoyed hearing about the previous owners and one family may be related. Our host gave us so much information about the twin coast bike ride we were doing, so we were able to be informed before we set off on our bike rides each day.

Paheke Lodge is a beautiful house, furnished throughout with antiques. We stayed in the balcony room which was spacious, stylish and elegant - the best we’ve stayed in on our trip. Juen, the host, was lovely - very welcoming and friendly. We had use of two lounges as well as the garden. Lovely cooked breakfast, beautifully served in the dining room.

Hard to find anything negative at all!

The host was lovely and very welcoming. We were upgraded to a larger room with a fantastic bathroom, lovely peaceful setting and privacy. The bed was exceedingly comfortable and the linens etc were top quality. The home was a historical treat and the breakfast was amazing with cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toast, eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomato, and juice, and coffee. No trouble was spared and we really enjoyed fresh fruit from the garden. Our host could not have been nicer, she went to so much trouble to make our stay comfortable and unique. We would love to stay there again. Our host also recommended a place to eat for dinner and we had a fabulous dinner that night by following her recommendation. Thank you so much for a lovely stay! :) Tanya and Kris

Everything was gorgeous, right down to the chicken staring at us through the window :)

Breakfast was at the time requested - freshly picked fruit and homemade jams and preserves for toast and fresh coffee. Friendly and engaging hosts - knowledgeable.

If we had booked the same place the following (Easter) weekend!

A beautiful house in the country, lovingly and tastefully restored. Vloser to Kerikeri than I thought. Fabulous large room with ensuite and balconies overlooking the garden. Spoilt with a fabulous breakfast served by an excellent and attentive hostess! Juen also gave us great tips on where to eat, what to see - greatly enhanced our stay.

Lovingly restored mid-19th century country house. Bountiful, tasty breakfast; lovely grounds; spacious room with great mattress; dont know about dinner. Most engaging hostesses (mother and daughter) with lots of local history and lore. Location is well out of town, so all you hear is the sounds of the wind (and some neighboring livestock in the morning)

Easy access. Parking close to room. Outside access to room. Historic character of house and grounds. Lovely host and excellent breakfast.

Local hotel was disappointing with only fish & chips so had to travel further for evening meals.
