The Oberoi Lombok is now in my top all-time favorite hotels. Everything is engineered for maximum hospitality and enjoyment. The room was beautiful, the grounds were lush, the pool was heavenly, the food was excellent (and vegetarian friendly!), the spa was blissful, and the people were wonderful. Every single person we encountered, whether the welcoming general manager or the restaurant staff, the masseuses, and the cleaning staff were all so kind and welcoming. We felt very cared for by all. Thank you!

I would struggle to find anything not to like, but some of the other guests were greedy with the beautiful poolside gazebos and lounge chairs. It would be nice to have some sort of time limit on how long people can leave a gazebo vacant simply by "reserving" it with a hat or book first thing in the morning. A hat can't enjoy a gazebo for 2 hours by itself, but a person can! :)

A perfect stay especially if you have children. There was something always going on: coconut water time, wood carving time, sorbet time etc. The staff are excellent and having a private jetty is a huge bonus.

The only thing I did not like was the complimentary horse and cart ride to a market that the hotel provides. That was animal cruelty: the horse was exhausted, she was too small to pull a large load, the trip was too much for her, blistering heat, she had no water, it was miserable for her. Horses are better off walking on grass, trotting on concrete for long trips is painful for their hooves, they are not designed to be road runners. The Oberoi should remove this activity entirely and replace it with something else. The current activity is unethical and is profoundly cruel.

We spent eleven nights at this lovely place and really enjoyed it. Beautifully furnished room, luxurious privat pool, pleasant gazebo, all exceptionally tastefully built in complete privacy. Shaded by trees. Perfectly landscaped surroundings. I especially have to highlight the thorough keeping of the house twice a day. Complimentary horseback riding for children; tea at five o'clock ( once with a bottomless bottle of sparkling wine :o); regular replenishment of fruit and sweets in the room; bike rental, these are all little things that bring joy.

The food in the restaurant (we had half board) was good, sometimes very good. What was a real problem was the time spent waiting for dinner. Every action, every order took an inordinate amount of time. Each evening, killed by waiting for food. Once we tragically waited more than two hours for a main course, which was unacceptable, especially for our small children. Unfortunately, we had to leave the restaurant before dessert due to the late hour. Live music in restaurant, sometimes decent, sometimes out of tune and noisy, did not really contribute to the romantic atmosphere. I would prefer silence, or soft local music, to variety shows.

The Oberoi Lombok Resort is a beautiful resort. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is stunning and the king bed was extremely comfortable. The bed is mounted on a heavy timber base and sits quite high. The staff are extremely helpful in everyway. The restaurant or cafe served delicious food at resort prices. We did a private boat trip to the Gili Islands which was fantastic. I highly recommend to anyone to do this. Once you arrive at the resort everything is taken care off its a beautiful place to stay and recharge for a few days. The sunsets are magnificant from this resort, stunning viewing with cocktail in hand.

There was nothing I did not like about the resort. Please note there is very little to do outside of the resort so you need to eat your meals at the resort. The resort is 1.5 hour away from the airport but the Oberoi drivers were lovely, it just adds to the trip. I would recommend flying to the island rather than the boat trip which can take up to 4 hours.

The Oberoi is an outstanding hotel in a stunning location, which is complimented by its friendly, warm staff and excellent facilities. We visited as a family of 4 with two children, aged 8 and 11, and absolutely loved our stay. Set in a beautiful bay in gorgeous gardens, this hotel is a little piece of paradise. The accommodation is comfortable and luxurious and extremely tasteful and in keeping with the feel of Lombok. Our children adored the pool, and also had a great time doing many of the activities (many complimentary) offered by the team. The evening films for kids is a fantastic idea which allowed them to chill out with a movie and popcorn, and to meet other kids staying at the hotel…while parents got to have some ‘grown up time’ over dinner and drinks! Perfect! The hotel has a small pier just along the beach where you can borrow kayaks, paddle boards and snorkel gear- and the snorkelling is stunning! We also enjoyed seeing the locals fishing in the bay, as well as watching the incredible sunsets with the nearby Gili islands, and Bali’s volcano as the backdrop. The breakfasts offered by the hotel were outstanding, with an extensive menu for both adults and kids and daily specials. We particularly liked the fresh fruit juice cocktails. Meals in the restaurant too, and the hotel buffet nights were excellent. We would also recommend trying the local Indonesian wine which was (somewhat unexpectedly to us Europeans!) delicious! Just writing this makes me want to go back! Highly recommended by us all!

There’s nothing to dislike!

This hotel met all our expectations and beyond, located in a secluded beach facing the Gili Islands and sunset. The staff is taking great care of all your needs. Rooms are beautifully fitted without ostentation. Many little complimentary attentions are given throughout the day so you won't starve. The hotel also proposes multiple activities and visits from the hotel with private car and driver-guide.

Nothing really. The only comment we have is that they offer way too much food at breakfast (with the included breakfast from Booking) and even when we asked one plate for 2 persons, we often received 2 plates so, unfortunately a lot of wasted food.

This is the best hotel in Lombok, everything about it is above and beyond. Attention to detail is incredible. Spa is stunning. We loved every single detail about this hotel. A little quiet gem perfectly nested in Lombok. Rooms are perfectly crafted and every single detail made our stay more enjoyable especially the lovely staff who cared and catered to all of our needs seamlessly. The breakfast was generous, great range of options and delicious We use the boat to Gili Islands and was like new with great staff Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough!

Service: The staff was exceptional—friendly, professional, and always willing to go above and beyond. Whether it was arranging excursions, making restaurant reservations, or simply offering local tips, they made us feel like VIPs every step of the way. Dining: The hotel restaurant was a culinary delight! We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner, and each meal was a true gastronomic experience. The chef’s use of fresh, local ingredients was evident, and the flavors were simply divine. The breakfast buffet was particularly impressive, offering a wide variety of options that catered to every taste. Amenities: The hotel boasts an incredible range of amenities. We loved lounging by the pool, which was beautifully maintained with plenty of seating. The spa was a tranquil oasis where we enjoyed one of the best massages we’ve ever had. The fitness center was also well-equipped with state-of-the-art machines. Location: Located 15min from the harbour to go to the gili islands. Overall, our stay exceeded all expectations, and we can’t wait to return. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, this hotel offers an unparalleled experience that will leave you refreshed, pampered, and dreaming of your next visit. Highly recommended!

Nothing to complain about

The hotel was amazing, both my wife and I absolutely loved it. We had a sea-view room which was spacious, clean and well equipped with high quality finish. The food was amazing, staff extremely friendly and helpful, snorkeling around was an absolute treat and our trip to Gili islands and a day trip around the island were both brilliant.

Only minor recommendations - Wifi not great (which we didn't mind since we wanted to disconnect), and the sea view room had a bit limited view of the sea, but these were such minor complaints we did not mind one bit.

The service, food, interior, views… everything was wonderful

There was nothing in particular that we didn’t like. There is though space for small improvements but absolutely nothing major. One thing that I could think of is the way guests are getting on and off the boat (for snorkelling etc) at the pier- it’s quite difficult/dangerous as the boat is shaking and there is no opening in the fence, so it’s tricky to step into and out of the boat. There could be perhaps also installed rubber “dumping bands” around the boat/pier.
