Fabulous place in a fabulous location, close to plenty of bars, restaurants, independent shops and mini supermarkets, so there's everything to hand if you don't want to venture too far for breakfast, dinner or just something to cook in the apartment. It's in a quiet, safe, residential area but within very easy walking distance of the bustling Grand Place and the centre of Vieux-Lille or the beautiful Park. Plenty of on road parking (payable) or the owners can pre arrange a secure area just around the corner for a very reasonable price. The room is huge, and comfortable and everything you could possibly need is there if self catering: microwave, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, hob, fridge/freezer and with a daily housekeeping service, fresh towels. They have put a lot of thought and effort into Victoria's House and were adding more courtyard seating and mood lighting during our stay. Despite those couple of minor negatives, we would most definitely stay here again when visiting the area or travelling further afield! Highly recommended!

The Courtyard set up is quirky, but can echo so bear that in mind if indulging in a bit of 'sexy time'! It was 22*C when we were there and I can imagine it being quite hot in the Summer without air conditioning. There was a very small fan, but to get any air flow into the room, we had to open the sliding patio door, which if downstairs (although external security is tight), you couldn't just leave unattended. The shower room is compact and challenging for anyone tall, well built or of impaired mobility, but you eventually find your position, avoiding banging your knees on the sink and back of your head on the cupboard above the toilet when seated. .

Great little apartment with everything you need for a few nights in Lille. Parking nearby and fairly easy to find once you have mastered the one-way system. Very well equipped and had a nice modern feel to it despite being in a lovely old building. Great location in a really lovely, cool neighbourhood in the old town. Lots of shops, really nice bars and restaurants nearby and only a 10min walk into Lille.

The people staying upstairs were extremely loud all night and smoking right outside our window in the courtyard. This wasn't the fault of the property and they dealt with it extremely quickly the next day.

As an apart hotel we were on our own, but the kitchen is well equipped with everything necessary to make your own breakfast or buy in. There are several shops and bakeries in the area to provide plenty of options, and a good coffee machine is provided.

Unfortunately the night rate was a little high due to the high demand for rooms during the RWC, but it was important to be there, so no choice but to pay the rate. If returning to Lille without the pressure of an international event I would check this location again to see the price.

The location was good and defo good value for money.

The bed and mattress could be better along with the pillows. Sadly we didn’t have hot water to take a shower due to a boiler issue. Thankfully the owner apologised. We stayed for a night but it was quite confusing. The smell was weird and seemed like we entered an old museum and the lack of a lift or easy access was a challenge to get all our staff upstairs with the baby. Overall it was good, but defo not for a family.

What a simply stellar apartment in a great location. It’s to well appointed and the engagement from Helene was above and beyond anything we have every experienced on many trips around Europe. Lille is a stunning city and so easy to get about and people are so happy and friendly. What a great easy getaway from London for the Weekend

More time to eat more amazing Lille treats

The staff is nice. I can contact with them without any difficulty. Almost get a response after sending my message. The bathroom is big and well equipped.

My room is on the second floor and there is no elevator. Bit difficult to bring stroller and luggage there. As I go with my kid using a stroller, getting to the destination by walk was not a good experience. I recommend to use the Bus 10 if you start from the train station.

Great location! Amazing host and left a bottle of beer for us in both flats. So clean and overall very lovely! They let us check out late and was just amazing. Would recommend highly.

In one of the flats, I believe flat 3, there was no door to the bathroom which is an en-suite. However, this is a minor flaw and if you don’t mind that I would definitely recommend staying.

The location, the peace and quiet. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. Bathroom size was very well. Very close to the city's older district

The positioning of the keys box (Right of door) at the entrance to the room is not ideal. The left side would have been more appropriate because of the very steep staircase.

It was clean, stylish and modern. Very comfortable. Lovely shower. The area was very nice and tranquil.

The bathroom didn’t have a door so it was a little uncomfortable sharing a room with a friend.

Excellent location in the old town. Easy walk into the main area. The room was a decent size for the 4 of us. Close to a lovely boulangerie and bars and restaurants.
