Location splendid. Breakfast very good but pricy

Thé rooftopbar at a nearby restaurant where music played til 2 at night .on Friday and on Saturday.... and it stayed very loud!!

It was noisy on Saturday night. There was a petty on the sixth floor (roof area). I was staying on the fifth floor. I prevented sleep.

Our stay was really enjoyable! The hotel is beautifully and uniquely decorated, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Everything was spotless, and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic—delicious and carefully prepared. The staff was kind and accommodating, and we could storage our bags after checking out while exploring Lille some more.

there was a bit of a mix-up. We informed them in advance that we’d be arriving late and asked if we could have dinner at the hotel. They assured us it wouldn’t be a problem, but when we got there, the restaurant was fully booked, and there was no space for us. Luckily, we were able to order pizzas to our room, so it all worked out in the end.

Mama Shelter is a great hotel near the city centre and a great shopping centre. It is easy to get to and the parking is convenient. Rooms are good size, not much noise and the buffet breakfast was a delight. Plenty of options (great for a gluten allergy) and for a long time which suited our times. We had a great view of the city and wonderful sunsets. We also enjoyed free films and a great comfortable bed.

We struggled to find the parking entrance (I had to call reception to find out which gate I had to use) as the hotel photos and information were not clear at all. The hotel parking can be found on the right hand-side of the building when you access the plaza through the street called Pl. Saint Hubert, however, there are limited spaces. We were lucky as we arrived early and could park but they fenced the entrance once it was full. It will be great if they had a gate to close the parking as well as we were worried who could access it and you pay quite a bit of money for it. The hotel is in a plaza with bars and other restaurants, therefore anybody can access it without supervision.

Mama Shelter Lille made us feel right at home. Our room was spacious and spotless, with everything we needed. Staff were really helpful and friendly - and were happy to help us in English. We also had excellent breakfast, one of the best hotel breakfasts we've had in ages. We were so cosy and comfortable in our room that we almost didn't want to leave to face the winter elements! Mama Shelter is also close to the Eurostar station and easy to find.

Shower was not as (very!) hot as we like - but might've been a user error.

Paid parking was conveniently adjacent to the hotel; Access was counter intuitive with pinball machines on the ground floor and a lift to L for Lobby. The lobby was very small and a short queue tended to form as the charming staff struggled to cope with arrivals. The room was perfectly satisfactory with everything one needed. Situated close to the centre of Lille for exploration, generous buffet breakfast.

View from out window was disappointing - the rear of other modern buildings.

Plenty of parking space; Superb breakfast buffet; Easy walking distance from centre and itself in one of the self-guided walks around Lille book we got from tourist office - albeit for modern architecture (lots of bare concrete, including in your room).

I really did not like, on arrival, to be asked for credit card authorisation well beyond the cost of my stay. On enquiring about this i was told it was in case I ate in their restaurant and then skipped paying for everything. Needless to say I was not tempted to then eat in their restaurant. Then on departure I was not given an itemised bill, until I requested a breakdown of the sum I was being asked to pay.

Very close to the station, rooms very clean, staff extremely polite and overall reasonably priced

The room in the night was extremely hot (even if outside it wasn't) but what I liked the least was the rooftop terrace wmthat was a little bit dirty (the tables available still had bottles and glasses on it) and the chairs/couch weren't properly clean. The service is at the counter but someone should be in charge of getting the tables ready

We parked with our VW Multivan (big car), bit scary but managed to get into the parking (spot), electric vehicule charing is free of charge, which is a plus (only 3 charging stations available though, at the end of the parking space). We had a lovely view on the park and enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Loved the vibe!

Beds wasn't as comfortable, matrass was too soft for me.

Loved the location. Close to the Eurostar and convenient for the city centre and other travel facilities. The room was great, especially the super comfy bed. All the staff that we dealt with were really friendly, professional and informative

The tables in the dining room are a little too close together. It’s not a very intimate experience. The water in the room was never replaced
