Massive room. Fridge in the room! Cereal bars along with the coffee in the room. Location - 10minute walk to Southend hospital.

Bottom half of bathroom window wasn’t frosted. I may have revealed my backside to the queueing traffic outside. The window was half covered by a cow sticker. That cow was staring at me and you could see it when lying in bed as it was backlit from lights outside the building. I unoriginally called it Daisy. I’d have preferred a frosted window and no cow!

Staff member was very friendly, the size of room is surprisingly big, the main bed is massive, tv is also big, kettle and mugs are a decent size (not travel size like in some hotels), good quality tea & coffee, shower is a good size and powerful, room was clean.

There is no privacy glass in the bathroom door, which is awkward if staying with friends. Fold out bed isn't the best and you can't lie on your side because there is a metal bar running down the middle of the frame. There was a strange smell in the corridor outside the room, which luckily didn't make its way into the room.

The room was comfortable and clean and had a nice view of the park opposite. There was plenty of tea, coffee, milk and sugar in the room and extra on a table in the hall. Breakfast snacks/bars were provided. The room was pleasant and inviting and had a TV. Room was quiet despite busy road running alongside. The man who showed us the room and the facilities was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend for a short stay.

Very minor design flaws. Soap dispenser in shower was designed for the tallest man in the world. I'm 5'9"and had to stretch up to reach :-) Mirror in bathroom not placed above basin - not ideal for shaving. Free wi-fi was not reliable so just used data and hot spot.

The pub was very busy when we arrived due to it being New Year’s Eve, but the bar staff were very friendly and helped us check in. We were guided to our rooms and instructed about how to use the key to let ourselves in and the rules for staying. The bed was very comfortable and the room was a lot bigger than expected but still cosy. Bathroom facilities were lovely too, will definitely stay here again if we need to.

Nice friendly greeting from manager/owner. Very good for no frills. Nice comfy twin beds. Clean white sheets on both beds, lovely fresh clean white towels in room and shared guest bathroom. Enjoyable hot shower. Thank you very much guys.

Not a big dislike (smile) In our shared bathroom the glass toiletries shelf over the wash basin was a bit of a hindrance where you are unable to lean over the sink correctly to brush your teeth or wash your face.

The staff member who greeted us and showed us to the room allowed us to upgrade to a better room with an en suite bathroom, which suited my partner more. The staff member was very warm, friendly and helpful and the room was very comfortable.

Two glasses in the room would have been handy for a glass of water.

Private bathroom was separate from the room. Should have read the description better but probably would have stayed there anyway due to location / convenience and lack of options on that day

The welcome and helpful staff. Room was simple and lovely. Near to the hospital , that's what we needed.

No breakfast! Would have been fine if we had found the promised' cafe down the road' As we had no car it was a very big minus for us. Actually you can't say B an B if there is no breakfast!

Staff were brilliant. Lovely room, would recommend and stay again. Was worried about noise from the bar, but it was not an issue.

No breakfast available on site. Broken tv remote control, made watching tv very difficult.

Location and room were very much as described. Very friendly staff and room was clean and comfortable. The rooms are above the bar and very accessible. The bar had quite a mixed crowd and a bit of community feel which was nice. Free onsite parking was a bonus
