Our stay was excellent in most respects. The on-suite room was clean and comfortable, with good views across the valley, and quiet though it overlooked the road through the village. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge for milk and water in our room. There was no TV but that added to the peace and quiet of the place. And it's a good base for walking and exploring the Yorkshire Dales.

The only disappointment was the breakfasts which were just a 'full English' plate of black pudding, eggs, bacon, sausages, tomato, toast and beans. Some of us would rather not have had black pudding or would have preferred poached eggs instead - but we weren't offered a choice. There were no cereals or fruit juice and no jam and marmalade or extra toast on offer. So, a disappointment for the price (£14.95). Apart from this I would rate our stay 10 out of 10.

Not sure about the closure of the bar at 7.00 pm 🤔 Quite happy to go up the road ,less than 5 minutes away, but would have liked to have a drink 🍸 🙂 in what was my holiday home 🏡 for 3 days,which would have given me the chance to get to know the Landlord and the Landady and their regulars a bit better 😀 !!!

The New Inn was so full of character, it was absolutely charming. We just loved the fact that it was also the village shop. Rooms were very comfortable and well equipped. Especially the attention to details like luxurious toiletries. They had a extremely large selection of Cask ales which the landlords were so passionate about. Food was for residents only and was so so good, we have never experienced food, that was so full of flavour in many many years and was the icing on the cake for us. Bar closes at 7.00pm just so residents have a very peaceful stay and we had the most wonderful stay. Thank you very much to our hosts Sarah and Graham you totally nailed it!

We couldn’t fault the property in any way.

Stunning scenery so perfect location, very comfortable bed and clean linen. Lots of choice of beverages in the room and plenty of them. milk was fresh so that was nice. The staff seemed very nice. There was no tv, however, we read so it didnt bother us ( scenery made up for that in our opinion ). We would definately like to re visit one day and would recommend this lovely peaceful place.

Very quiet and comfortable room with a fantastic view over the hills. The room was clean and recently brought up to modern standard what does not mean it lost it's charme at all! The Pub is cosy and offers a great range of real Ales. The owner keeps it in wooden barils made by himself. Very special place.

Because of an electrical issue was the Internet not working for 2 days. The owners fixed it in the end.

The King Room was very spacious and extremely quiet. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom and shower very good. Tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge with water and milk to use. We chose the paid breakfast which was large and tasty, and set us up nicely for the days trekking,

The nearest shop is a good drive away, the location of the New Inn is stunning, but it is a drive to pick up provisions

I believed when a place called itself a “bed and Breakfast” … that breakfast would be on offer. So not so. You at the new inn. You have to order and pay an additional fee for a full English the night before. There is no other option just a full English … Not even a continental breakfast. Or toast and tea. Seemed strange

Clean, comfortable, supplied with all the essentials needed, beautiful view and surroundings. Only negatives were no television, and a bit out of the way, but didn't spoil our time there at all. Lovely landlady and people around were friendly. Xxx ❤️

We stayed at the New Inn as my daughter was getting married nearby. The owners could not have been more friendly and made us very welcome. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the bathrooms were modern, shower a bit temperamental but no problem. Breakfast was delicious, would definitely stay again and would recommend.

Nothing it was a positive experience all round

Nice room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. All very clean and warm. The landlady is utterly lovely and the location is stunning. The shut down of the bar at 7pm definitely helps towards a good night sleep.

A little on the pricey side (£280 for 2 nights), with no breakfast included. The breakfast is an extra, which was a little disappointing. The landlord seemed a little odd.
