Loved the location. Less than 100m down to the beach. You have to pay to access though so bring your ID card. It is worth it though, it keeps the place clean and protected with the penguins close by. We snorkelled with our boys and it was amazing, cold but amazing! The views are endless!

It has a manual gate so you will need help opening and closing which is fine but not ideal for multiple entry/exit situations.

As soon as I saw Bosky Dell in Booking, I immediately fell in love. I left this cottage for the end of my vacation and it was the best way to end my trip. There is a warm and peaceful atmosphere here. I really loved drinking coffee in the morning and looking at the ocean. The cottage is beautiful both inside and out. And it matches the description and photos. You will really live next to penguins and hear their funny sounds. And the beach is absolutely gorgeous. The hosts will take the best care of you. You will receive personal and valuable recommendations, rather than a stupid standard set of well-known tourist destinations. I heartily recommend that you stay here!

We absolutely loved our cottage on Boulders Beach! This is a small cottage inside a large property with 4/5 homes, all arranged around a beautiful well kept garden, facing the ocean. It has its own little private outdoor space with a table and 2 chairs, from which you can enjoy the views. Even though Boulders Beach is overcrowded, this place feels quiet and peaceful. You can walk down to Boulders Beach if you want to see the penguins (and the crowds) or you can walk 5 minutes more to another beach which is equally picturesque. The cottage has everything you need: a fully equipped kitchen, an outdoor bbq, a beautiful bed with lush pillows and a gorgeous vintage style bathroom with tub. The house is on two floors with a small staircase leading to the bedroom/bathroom upstairs. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful. There are 4 sweet beautiful dogs on the property that come and say hello in the morning:-) Loved that! Everything was perfect, thank you!!

Communication with the hosts before and during our stay was friendly and informative, always very responsive. They have two wonderfully trained dogs who come to say hi every now and then, but never intrude in your space or the house. We stayed in the main house which has 3 bedrooms. A beautiful and endearing renovated old house with lots of space, comfortable beds and the most breathtaking view from the porch where we spent most of our time. The location was amazing, just above Boulder's Beach....this was perfect for our 2 small kids who visited the penguins multiple times during our stay 🙂 Overall a wonderful experience which we would love to repeat again in the future.

An electric gate at the entrance of the property would be great since it's a bit uncomfortable to climb out (especially in the rain and/or dark) to unlock, open, close and lock again everytime. The kitchen racks need some attention, but we were told this was already planned for the near future. A washing machine would be a plus.

Absolutely stunning location overlooking Boulders Beach and the penguins. Our studio cottage had a beautiful large window where you can look over the entire bay. The cottage had everything we needed, and the outside garden patio and braai is lovely and secluded.

The opening and closing of the gate is a bit tricky if you have no one to help - it would be good to put a gate motor on. Sliding doors onto a covered deck / verandah on the studio cottage would make it perfect.

This is a really special place to stay. The view of the beautiful bay is just stunning, you could just sit there and look at it all day long. Views of penguins right from your window, too! This is a great place to stay if you want to explore Cape Point Nature Reserve, plus the little towns along the way. We also did a whale watching tour and saw many humpbacks. There's also a lovely friendly orange cat that kept us company, which for us is a highlight as we were missing our cat from home :)

There's 3 dogs and 2 cats on the property, so if you don't like animals, you probably will want to find somewhere else. The door to the cottage had a large gap at the bottom, so we found lots of bugs were coming in.

My 3rd stay at Bosky Dell. Fantastic views over the False Bay, proximity to the penguins and the COGH NP. Friendly owners and lovely dogs.

The location is spectacular. From the veranda you have a direct, unobstructed view to the bay and Boulders Beach where the penguins are. Launa, Courtney and the staff are all lovely - super friendly, helpful, and professional…and we loved the dogs too!! The house is huge, linens were fresh, and beds comfortable. However…

Whilst the old house has charming features of a historic building, it is in need of renovations and basic upkeep. The kitchen in particular is incredibly disappointing. Not only is it physically decrepit (with peeling veneer and a fridge that may topple over) and hasn’t been updated since probably the 70s, but it is also ill-equipped. Most of the cupboards are completely bare! There are very very basic kitchen essentials like cutlery and dishes, but the one pan has a broken handle. Especially since the best part about the property is simply relaxing and enjoying the view, we really had hoped to enjoy some nice home-cooked meals, but the kitchen was quite inhospitable. There’s also nothing around so a working kitchen is all the more important.

The location was amazing! Lovely view. Great access to the penguins at Boulders Beach and to the whole area around Cape Point and the peninsula.

It was located near the Boulders Beach and the boardwalk can be accessed through a side-door and this is so convenient if you want to visit the penguin colony. The cottage was also perfect and quiet, I was even able to make my own breakfast as the place had all the needed amenities.

No a complaint but it would be good to bring your own grocery if you are staying for a few days as the nearest town is about 10 mts drive away.
