I found the breakfast monotonous because of my food allergies, so the only cooked item I could eat was the hard and luke warm tomatoes.. The staff were most helpful, and did warm up croissants for us, but whoever buys these ought to change the supplier because even freshly cooked they weren't nice, as they were probably made with marge and not butter.

Its the same old story about the bedroom lighting. The bedside lights gave very little light as they were too high up for one to be able to read. The general lighting was disgusting, so I ended up sitting on the one and only chair in the bathroom, so that I could complete a cross stitch card for my son. I even sat in the bathroom to read as the poor lighting caused me to have a headache. On our next visit I think that we will bring our own bedside lights. How do people who are on courses in the hotel , study, with this dull lighting?

I had an accident and fell in the bathroom it was simply that not faulty equipment or anything other than a simple slip and fall I managed to hit my shin shoulder and other limbs for stop it was 6:00 a.m. on Christmas morning and the staff on reception was exceptionally helpful she was a lovely lady who helped get me an ice pack and made me a cup of tea to help get the swelling down on my leg. I failed to get her name but wanted to thank her for her kind and thoughtful treatment after my accident.

I could not see the contact details for reception in the room so had to go in person and request an ice pack.

Good location, not so close to the main road so barely if any traffic noise, rooms were tidy, clean and comfortable beds, and though staff interaction was minimal they were very friendly and approachable. We asked for an extra blanket and they were more than happy to provide. Ample parking as well and plenty of tea and coffee available if you happen to run out during your stay.

We are aware this is an express hotel so breakfast was quite basic, not so much a criticism but just so other potential guests are aware - it was fine for us as we booked two nights to attend a wedding. Also, it took some time for the hot water in our shower to come on. We think it would be handy if the showers came with bath mats as little one was slipping and sliding! He enjoyed it, but others might not! No issues we can highlight other than that, did have a nice stay.

It's a Holliday Inn hotel so it meets with the standards expected from hotels in the same chain. The location is easily accessible from the M5 and a good entry for Gloucester.

Just some minor gripes which did not ruin the experience but could be better. The room lighting distribution is a bit awkward as you can either have the full room lighting or just the bedside lamps which left the room too dark. It felt like there was a medium level missing. At breakfast, the scrambled eggs were a bit too salty but overall it has a varied choice of food and drinks both hot and cold. The parking seems very small for a hotel of that size.

Our stay was excellent and we would especially like to thank the staff member at reception (Amelia) who allowed us to check into our room a few hours early as we had to travel into Gloucester city centre to watch the rugby.........thank you very much for your welcome Amelia.All the staff who we met were friendly and polite......well done all of you. Our room (327) was spacious, very clean, comfortable and quiet with a good quality TV complementary tea and coffee.The bathroom was also a good size, very clean with an excellent shower with constant hot water. The breakfast was excellent, freshly prepared and with plenty of choice.We enjoyed cereal, toast, a blueberry muffin and a full English breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, baked beans and hash browns all washed down with fresh orange juice and the best machine cappuccino we have ever tasted.........superb quality. Free parking in the onsite car park was also a bonus and it is a 10 minute drive along clearly signed main roads into Gloucester city centre. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Gloucester.

Only minor gripe was that our double bed was a bit small for the two of us and it sank a bit in the middle but it didn't affect the quality of our sleep that much.

The room was basic but was very clean and easy to move around. The staff were helpful and attentive. The price reflects what you are getting and don't be fooled that because this is a Holiday Inn that it is somehow dirty or whatever because this was my first time in one and I can at least say that this one was clean and with no major problems. Overall I cannot fault the experience, there's nothing too bad to put me off from coming again. Thank you for your service!

There were a couple of small things. There were no sockets next to the bed , it wasn't a major problem but would be more convenient. Also, most of the breakfast choices were fine enough, but the sausages and hash browns were over cooked and the hash browns were rock hard which was disappointing because I love those.

I booked one night here as I was having a big tattoo done in Gloucester so needed somewhere to crash out before driving home the next day. The hotel was easy to find, had plenty of onsite parking and was spotlessly clean. I am a wheelchair user and so had booked an accessible room and that was exactly what I got. The room had plenty of space to manoeuvre and the bathroom was a fully accessible wet room, again with plenty of space to manoeuvre my chair in and out. The staff on check in, breakfast & check out were lovely and very helpful and polite. I would definitely stay here again and I'm already planning my next trip to the tattoo artist so will be booking again soon. 😁👍

Overall there was no major issues just two tiny little maintenance issues that I passed on to reception when I checked out. 1) one of the bedside lamps wasn't working 2) the USB charger port by the bed didn't work. Honestly, these were really only minor inconveniences as I was travelling alone and had remembered to pack an extra long charger cable and plug so I was still able to have my phone on the bedside table while charging it from the socket by the window.

Everything was lovely. The room was very clean and well stocked. The bed was comfortable and I slept all night which is unusual for me . The staff were very polite and helpful and there was always someone about to answer queries.

When I called to book,I asked if I could book for an evening meal,the lady replied that I didn’t need to book just turn up and pay. I didn’t realise the menu was more small meals than traditional fare.

Ideally located with awesome pub next door. Plenty of parking, disabled spaces. Easy access to all places perfect for us as we were travelling around The Cotswolds. First floor disabled room, easy access, spacious bathroom, plenty of room to easily move around the bed. Shampoo and body wash provided lovely as the products were Dove. Tea, coffee provided, available to top up as and when needed. TV in room, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Breakfast included in the price, choice of juices, hot breakfast, bacon,eggs,beans, toast, vegan/vegetarian choices, cereals good choice available. Bar with good choice of drinks available too. Snacks as in crisps, nuts chocolate cold drinks.

Not enough sockets.

Having never stayed at a Holiday Inn before, we were very impressed. From booking in at reception, we were greeted by a very friendly & helpful member off staff. The room was lovely, very clean & everything you'd want for a few nights away. The Dove toiletries supplied was a nice little bonus too!!! The breakfast was plentiful too, great to start anybodies day The location of the hotel is perfect with the added bonus of The Bumble Bee pub adjacent, of which is a beautiful place serving the most beautiful food too. A short 10 minute drive & you'll find yourselves in the beautiful Gloucester Docks which is well worth a visit 😉 We wouldn't hesitate in recommending or staying here again should we wish to visit beautiful Gloucester. Keep up the good work

Everything was lovely, shame about being on the 3rd floor with no working lift!!!!
