Lovely setting, welcoming staff, good variety at breakfast. Liked the welcome flapjack and fresh fruit a nice touch .Staff very helpful when asked for suggestions for places to visit

Did not realise we were on the top floor room 20 , a bit of a challenge for husband with heart problems. The shower is above the bath, which is quite high sided and the ceiling slopes so a challenge for taller people or those with mobility issues. It was very warm although we had the window open it was difficult to get air flow. Chose a light meal in the bar with a mocktail-disappointing that there was no evidence of orange or lemongrass as described principally rosemary and ginger ale

Beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings. Very comfortable rooms and nice bar and relaxation rooms. Very nice cream tea and breakfast the following morning. All the staff were very helpful and attentive, especially Victor who is extremely kind and helpful.

I didn't like the dinner menu. Much too limited and very little food at an extortionate price. Even some of the staff said they wouldn't eat in there! We also found all the cereal bowls hadn't been cleaned properly in the dishwasher and got a staff member to replace them at breakfast.

Beautiful location and building surrounded by open fields. Our room was exceptional and dinner in the restaurant was fantastic. Breakfast was also very good. The vast majority of the staff couldn't be more friendly and polite. A most enjoyable stay.

There was an error concerning our booking which was promptly and efficiently addressed resulting in a room upgrade. Well done. The only criticism was that the barman was neither helpful or friendly (I had to chase up our pre-dinner drink order), without this the staff would have received an excellent report and the hotel would have been a 10.

All of the little things completely made our stay unforgettable, including the variety of tea and coffees in our room, the Royal Doulton crockery, the toiletries, the heated bath towels, the little white doilies under the glassware, the view, the room service and the most stunning breakfast complete with white table cloths and fresh flowers and five star service. We stay away a lot and believe me when I tell you that this is one of the best!. The quality of everything was exceptional and no expense was cut to make us feel relaxed and pampered. We cannot wait to return.

Going home, so we booked to stay the following night!

Everything from the minute you drive up to the hall , the cleanliness and how comfortable it is

Not about the property itself , but I did recieve an automated message via booking.com regarding my stay at Brockencote hall, A message from the hotel including my final balance (which I had already paid on arrival) and words to the effect of “we hope you have enjoyed your stay, of which we completely did) Just didn’t enjoy the message being delivered at 2am , it woke me and my son up and struggled to get back to sleep.

Absolutely superb stay, which greatly exceeded my expectations. Country House hotels are sometimes a little bit sad and tired, but Brockencote Hall is beautifully decorated and maintained. The Staff were all friendly, helpful and seemed happy in their work. The room was large and well designed , with a superb bathroom. Nice location and wonderful food.

The only thing I can think of is a lack of draft lager in the bar...which demonstrates that actually I can't find anything wrong !!

Beautiful period property supported by the most wonderfully attractive staff. The grounds some 70 acres were immediately kept. The room was spacious with dual aspect. Breakfast was was ample with quality ingredients matched by fantastic staff and nothing was too much trouble.

Light in the entrance are had blown and needed replacement. And the addition of a vanity mirror close to a power socket would have aided dressing in the morning. But nothing that would dissuade us from staying again.

We had a wonderful stay at Brockencote Hall. I booked for myself and husband for 2 nights in the big fancy room. We had the 9 course tasting menu on Friday night with a few cocktails made by the lovely staff, who asked us what we fancied and then made to our tastes. The tasting menu was out of this world, we weren't rushed, the whole experience we were looked after. The following night we had room service, which was fab. The location is a bit rural, but this is what we wanted. It felt like a complete escape. Stunning setting. The breakfast was delicious and the staff couldn't do enough. I would highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful stay

The shower head - but not going to moan.

We used this hotel as a stopover between destinations. Lovely building and grounds. All the staff were very professional, helpful and welcoming. Nice quiet room with good views. The room itself was clean and well presented. An added bonus was the fact that the heating in the room worked! A rare thing in British hotels. Food was good and service was excellent. Would definitely go back if we needed a hotel in the area.

No real issues. The shower controls involved a bit of detective work, also the basin tap had an intermittent leak. The radiators in the bar during our meal weren't working, so a little cool on a November evening.

It was nice to be shown around the hotel and then the room. Pointing out the fridge contence was included. Made me feel welcome and not just pointing from the desk. Food was exceptional. Dinner was fine dining and breakfast was great. The room was nice and I had a great night's sleep

I would have liked a bigger meal option for dinner. I had a long day and needed a large meal.
