Super great experience. Although there was a minor hiccup at check in, everything else went smoothly and was great onward. They were able to accommodate for my dietary restrictions during both dinner and breakfast. The rooms were clean, modern, and great as well. Even the most basic onsen room was super large, especially for Japanese standards. The in room onsen was really great as well and just sitting there looking out into the snowy landscape was such a wonderful experience. The amenities provided are also super nice. The bus transport is also really convenient to/from Sapporo station and it takes you to the hotel right at check in and from the hotel right at check out (2pm and 11am). Staff were super friendly and helpful and the little snack shop/bar/coffee area/library on the first floor were also super nice places (make sure to get the burdock wasabi chips!). The large onsen on B1 is also super nice! Definitely recommend this hotel in Jozankei and you definitely get your money's worth!

Nothing!

New , clean hotel , rooms are big , bright and comfortable. Onsen is good . Staffs are friendly and good customer service especially Mr Hwang and Ms Moe.

No lunch and afternoon tea . Lounge has very little choice for afternoon tea . Not cakes nor pastry like other hotels . Quite a long walk to town center. Not enough bus transfer service to and from sapporo station , the one time bus transfer is shared with the other sister hotel . For the price , bus transfer service can be improved .

My experience staying at the Grand Blissen Hotel Jozankei was outstanding! The staff were very professional, attentive, polite and friendly! We felt very well looked after throughout our stay here. We only knew very super basic Japanese phrases, but the staff were very accommodating, and did their utmost best to communicate with us (with a mix of English, basic Japanese words/phrases, and using a translator app where necessary). We felt very welcomed, happy and at ease. For meals, I was the only Vegetarian within my travelling group, and I had notified the hotel via email prior to our visit. Our group was very pleased with the Dinner and Breakfast! My Vegetarian meal was very well thought out, and it was very delicious! My meal did not feel lacking when compared to the standard menu, and I was very happy with it. Both the Public and the Private in-room Onsen facilities were marvellous! Both had an extraordinary view into the valley, the river, and the snowy mountain across the hotel. We even saw a few deer roaming about! The Public Onsen was very clean, and well supplied with amenities. We felt very relaxed and comfortable in the waters! When we were in Tokyo earlier, our skin were drying up from the water and the harsh body & hand wash (my eczema was flaring up). Our stay at this hotel rejuvenated our skin, and left us feeling silky smooth! Also, my words cannot fully describe how wonderful it felt to see the snow drifting gently towards us, to meet the steam that rose from the pools we sat in, all whilst we enjoyed the view of nature! Overall, I only have high praises for the Grand Blissen Hotel Jozankei, and I definitely recommend them!

No major complaints. If I need to make a suggestion, then perhaps it would be better to have the filters of Washing Machine and Dryer cleaned more regularly. The Laundry appliances were building up lint around the door jamb/gasket, and my garments came out with some residue lint on them. For me, this was a minor issue, and it did not detract from the overall positive experience during my stay.

i was sooo happy with my one night experience in this hotel , we took the free shuttle bus from Sapporo station to the hotel and it was relaxing and great , the staff were welcome and so nice with us especially one of the front desk staff ( a guy who was very kind and friendly , speaking english so well and was helping us a lot with everything especially with finding the best way to go back to Sapporo then to the airport for our flight ) , the room was amazing and big , the view was great too and it was well equipped with everything you need for your stay there , we tried the full body massage too and it was done perfectly and the highlight for me was the dinner and breakfast experience since we can not eat meat as muslims they prepare a full course Japanese seafood cuisine and it was the best way to try the Japanese food there , we got a complimentary Japanese dessert also , the hotel is near to many attractions in the area and it was walkable , there was a store in the hotel if u need something but also there is a grocery store nearby . Definitely worth the visit and if you are in Sapporo .

you need to contact the property to reserve a seat for the shuttle bus even though its free of charge , also its a one hour ride to the hotel from Sapporo and the shuttle bus just comes once in the day , i wish they can schedule it more than once or has a route to the airport directly .

The view from the room with all the snow was amazing, we could just relax and enjoy those views for hours. The baths were also superb. I loved the place.

Just beware that dinner comes with several types of fish and seafood so if you're allergic or not into that kind of food you have to send a message to the hotel several days prior to make sure they can accommodate your needs.

The facilities were perfect. The room was large and well appointed. It was also very quiet and within a good walking distance to the main onsen area.

Potentially offer a choice of set menu. Whilst we tried the set dinner it was not to our taste so most of the food was wasted. As there also were a number of foreigners staying for Christmas a Christmas set could have been offered.

The rooms are big and spacious, clean and welcoming. The view is great and the private open air onsen is fantastic. Food was fantastic. There is a bar and a small shop in the complex.

There is no way to control the open air onsen bath temperature. And it was constantly too hot to the point it was uncomfortable. There should be a way to lower the temperature with cold water.

Loved the stay. Room was very big with an excellent view of the forest, which would have been even better during autumn with foliage. Private onsen was great and fit 2 comfortably. They have a free shuttle bus to and fro Sapporo station so it was convenient to get there. The meals were also delicious and staff was able to accommodate to our dietary preferences after messaging them via Booking.com.

The wagyu steak for dinner was nice and tender, but a little heavy for me due to the higher fat content.

The room - including the incredible view and en suite onsen - was absolutely incredible and perfect for me and my teenage daughters. But the food… for me, that was the highlight. The breakfast and dinner included in our stay was out of this world and a beautiful way to experience Hokkaido — our first time there. The service was fantastic, start to finish — we always felt welcome and cared for. I read about this hotel in The NY Times, and it delivered, 100 percent. Highly recommend, 10/10!
