We had a great time in Puripunn Chiang Mai. The hotel is situated just outside the city centre on the east side of the river. From the hotel there is a courtesy shuttle to the city center or the night market. If you decide to walk, it takes about 20 minutes. While the neighborhood is busy, the hotel is literally a hideaway and therefore very quiet. The hotel has a nice sized pool and balconies with a seating area. The room itself is medium sized but has everything for a comfortable stay. What we liked most was the peace and quiet as well as the very helpful and friendly staff. The owner even came to welcome us during breakfast. An absolute gem in Chiang Mai, and much more of a Thai experience than the generic Marriott.

We had a room on the 3rd floor with plenty of privacy, but if you are located on the 1st floor (Deluxe rooms) you are adjacent to the pool area and therefore you have a lot less privacy. If you prefer to have your own space, I would advise to ask for a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor.

All hotel staff were smiling and trying to help. Especially Jack :) I'm visiting again soon. The pool has a hot jacuzzi and it made the pool warmer than other pools in Chiang Mai.

The restaurant was a bit pricey. If the price was better, I would have stayed all day enjoying the pool and eating at the hotel.

We arrived in the evening it was stunning to walk into all lit up. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. The food was delicious. The reception sorted a driver to take us sight seeing & offers a free shuttle to the night market.

I never gave a perfect review before but Purripunn Hideaway truly deserves it and I'm really enthusiastic about it. The place is very quiet but close enough to go to the old city walking, the breakfast is great, with daily variations in the buffet, the pool is perfect and the warm jacuzzi has the perfect temperature. The whole house is in old style, with wooden floors, tiles, and you can feel how everything is at the right place. However, what made my stay really outstanding is the staff. Present, attentive to details, pleasant, discreet, and smiling in the purest Thai tradition.

The property was beautiful with good facilities including a pool and hot tub.

Absolutely nothing

Great find! Boutique hotel hidden away from the busy streets, excellent decor, friendly, smiling & super helpful staff - best feature, great breakfast - not a huge spread but everything on offer was good, they have a pool + jacuzzi, a gym and round the clock security. Free shuttles frequently to old town. We had a connecting family room, well appointed with all amenities, spacious with a balcony, comfortable beds. Housekeeping & Room service were efficient. Everything worked. Hotel was not too occupied when we visited, staff was super attentive and obliging.

Location is not ideal if you want to spend most of you time in Old Town. Bolt and Grab work well though. Bathroom door could use a curtain or better blinds.

The relaxed quiet and informal atmosphere. The pool area is pleasing to look at and be in. The passion and care that has gone into this renovation is apparent. It is a friendly family run hotel which is in keeping with Thai tradition with a youthful uplift. Staff and owners attentive very friendly and always willing to please. Although hotel is out of town it is only a short walk over a bridge to get to the night markets and restaurants. The hotel has an evening shuttle service which we used at our convenience every night to go into town. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a fabulous stay at Puripunn Hideaway. Our family of four (2 teens) had two rooms next to each other. The hotel felt totally safe, it was clean and the staff were great! We were able to book activities through the hotel ahead of time, which was very convenient. The breakfast was amazing and the breakfast staff were very sweet and helpful. The location was close to town but quite. The pool and the building were BEAUTIFUL!!!! We also had a great view of the pool from our room.

The hotel rooms are more plain than the rest of the hotel. No big deal but FYI.

Beautiful property tucked away from the busy roads. It isn’t in a heart of the major restaurants, cafés or shops but taking a Grab taxi is fairly easy if one doesn’t want to do the 2-3 km walk. The breakfast spread is delicious and so fresh! The staff are also very warm and hospitable. Our room was extremely comfortable and spacious. They have a large bathroom / walk in changing room kind of space with a platform bed which is great for doubling up as a bed if you are travelling with a child. Within the main room itself it is a tight fit for an extra cot or bed.
