Location was excellent, room was very large with sky tv which was awesome!! Good facilities and bathroom as for the bed !! It was massive!! Just one issue with it
Parking was a nightmare, we got told that staff get priority over guests to park in the small carpark which would be bigger if they hadn’t filled it with benches, so we had to park a good walk away in a 24 hr carpark , you can park in front of the building but you can only stop 2 hrs in the day but you can park all night for £1 but a early rise as you then need to put parking on at 8am . The issue with the Ben was the mattress it was really hard and spingy

Just home from a 3 night stay. We had room 8 which is a spacious nicely decorated quiet room overlooking their outside seating area. The shower was great, held the temperature perfectly. Nice choice of toiletries and white soft towels too. The large bed was really comfortable with good pillows so slept well every night. The food was top notch with plenty of great dishes to choose from. We really enjoyed everything about our stay and will definitely stay again. Thank you to all the staff that gave us a lovely welcome and went above and beyond to help us enjoy our long weekend in Bakewell. Thanks ladies for all your help and see you again soon we hope.

The room was comfortable, very clean and well decorated. The bed was comfy with crispy sheets, room 'six' 😉 Good tea & coffee making facilities Nice bathroom with plenty of toiletries and nice fluffy white towels.. Car parking was available and we had no problem using a space. Our stay was for one night.
The host was quite negative on telling us on arrival, no food after 7.30pm and there would be no breakfsst and that we had to be out of our rooms by 10am the following morning. We had been to a function got wet through arriving back in the bar at 9.30pm to be told they were closing at 10pm! Taking into account all of the above I felt the room was very much overpriced!

The Peacock is a lovely pub right in the heart of Bakewell. The rooms are well equipped and spotlessly clean. Bakewell itself is beautiful, with lots to see and do. We didn’t eat at the pub, but the menu looked good, and reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Great place for a short break in the beautiful peaks.
There is no overnight parking at the pub itself. We tried two of the main car parks in the town but both of those also had no overnight parking available. The only option suggested by the tourist information office was to park in one of those, then move the car to the Co-op car park directly outside the pub, then move again at 8am the next morning. Not very convenient! The lady at the Peacock pointed us in the direction of the car park on Granby Road. This is about a 2 minute walk (once you find the shortcut). Overnight parking is restricted to the rear of the car park, otherwise limited to 4 hrs. Parking is best paid for using the ‘Paytopark’ app. I would advise setting it up in advance.

We loved our stay our room was cosy and comfortable very warm on a very cold day and night staff we're fabulous and what we loved the most is that when we ate our meals we weren't surrounded by dogs. I highly recommend the special board as the steak and kidney pudding was beautiful and just what I needed on a cold day very very nice, thank you all much appreciated 👏
Nothing it was fabulous and highly recommended

The property is simply gorgeous - a quaint and traditional pub-hotel in the picturesque setting of Bakewell. Right in the heart of this adorable little town, The Peacock offers great drinks and food, indoor and outdoor seating, a retro jukebox, easy-access parking (not affiliated), beautiful accommodation, clean and sweet-smelling bedding, extras including tea, coffee, kettle, towels, robes and hairdryer in the accommodation, and is a short stroll from all Bakewell has to offer. Pubs, local shops, traditional Bakewell bakeries, Co-ops, Superdrug, swimming baths, the River Wye, the Showground, a golf course, incredible woodland, amazing architecture and breathtaking views… It’s all here! My husband and I booked The Peacock so that we could take part in the Cancer Research UK half and full marathon that was being held locally, and were able to walk to and from the event with ease whilst enjoying all on offer in the town. A hot shower in the four-poster en-suite (we also had the option of a dip in the large tub, should we have chosen!) later, and we were able to enjoy a well-earned pint in the pub courtyard - off of which our accommodation was situated, which was absolutely perfect for us. In the interests of full-disclosure - despite a bit of a struggle with the Wi-Fi (due, no doubt to the large crowds who had gathered to take part in the event), we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The proprietors were organised, polite, friendly and helpful, and the staff all seemed very smiley. The nights were peaceful and the mornings relaxed. We hope to return soon, and would love to recommend this fantastic venue to friends, family, and anyone who is considering booking this particular stay! I made a bit of a boo-boo when booking, and managed to book for three nights as opposed to our required two. Once I have received assistance from Booking.
I can honestly say that we didn’t dislike anything, but the Wi-Fi made contacting our children and getting a little time-sensitive work done a bit more tricky. As I say, I appreciate that this was due to the popularity of the location of the day of such a big event. The room was on the dim side, light-wise, but with the curtains thrown open it was perfectly fine. The bathroom itself was beautifully bright.

Food was good. Location.
Parking. There was supposed to be limited parking on site but there was NON. We were very stressed about finding somewhere to park and had to get up on Sunday morning at 8oclock to feed the meter. Then there was no parking across the road overnight on Sunday evening due to the market being there on Monday morning unless you were prepared to get up at 5am and move your car somewhere else! It spoilt the whole experience as the place and the town were amazing.

The room was on the first floor of an outbuilding attached to the pub , it is an old building and has been tastefully modernised for accommodation , the room was clean , had sky TV ,plenty of tea ,coffee etc, bed was comfortable , electric shower and towell rail both worked well ,room was warm and well lit ,plenty of clothes storage . We ate in the pub twice both excellent large meals ,and the real ale is well kept too.
As the building is old the steps to the first floor are external maybe if you have mobility issues select a ground floor room , but stairs no problem for anyone reasonably fit.

The bedroom was so lovely and comfortable, we’d definitely stay again!
The only thing was the shower, it’s a lovely walk in one but we both struggled with the temperature. We weren’t sure if it was due to another room flushing their toilet or something but the shower would often go boiling hot then freezing cold before returning to the temperature it had been set to.
