Fantastic stay in this apartment. The flat was fantastic was big and really comfortable for 4 people. The staff at the pub are fantastic and very friendly. The food was excellent. We had dinner and breakfast and it was really good. The lady who was serving breakfast was really friendly. We will definitely come back

We liked everything. We just want to say that on Booking.com the description mentioned a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. We did not see any of them. It was not a problem for us but for others it might be.

We arrived later then we had planned due to car breaking down, staff was very friendly and helpful carrying bag up the stairs and chef very kindly made us an amazing roast dinner even though it was past ordering time . The room and bathroom were very clean, comfortable beds and coffee & tea making facilities and a mini fridge .We had a great breakfast the next morning and again very friendly helpful staff . Even though we still had to find a garage to fix the car we were able to relax and enjoy our mini break and had a lovely time , thank you so much to everyone at the Bull in Foolow .

Nothing we would stay again !

The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The room was large with a comfortable bed, a good shower, and tea/coffee making facilities. The dinner was excellent with the best steak I've had in ages and the salmon and scrambled eggs I had for breakfast was also made just right. All portions were very generous. Foolow is a very small hamlet and there are no shops but it is in the centre of some lovely walking territory. There is a bus stop outside with connections to nearby towns and villages as well as Sheffield.

Breakfast is not served until 08.30 and I like to be on my way by that time.

Location is pretty much perfect as base for walks sampling the varied nature of the Peak District, e.g. down the Cressbrook Dale and Wye River valley to Monsal Head, and back cross Longstone Moor, or up Eyam Moor and along Bretton Brook. Room was a good size, and with a nice entrance lobby with a small sitting area, and quiet despite being right above the pub in an old building. Add to that a comfortable bed, good breakfast and friendly staff.

If you are a late riser, it may be useful to know that breakfast service was only until 9am.

First impression was great, a large hallway took you to two generous sized bedrooms, a well equipped spacious kitchen diner and a comfortable sitting room. We stayed for 2 nights, 4 adults and one toddler and ate both nights in the restaurant where the food was plentiful, tasty and served really quickly. The breakfast was served by a wonderful waitress/maid who gave us a cooked breakfast that overflowed the plate. Lovely village, fantastic pub with amazing staff.

Nothing to say, great place

Lovely old Pub, in a tiny village. Rooms were lovely, we had a lovely meal in the evening. Enjoyed our stay.

The Bar was not stocked, my husband tried to get a Guinness, it was off, and the people behind the bar did not get it working or it ran out. I drink Pinot Blush, where they had half a bottle. Also, Aperol, which they had a small bit in the bottle, but still charged full price. Apparently, the Manager was away, so the bar was nor stocked. As a guest, that is not my problem. So dissapointed in what was available.

Great food, breakfast was delicious. Live music playing on a Friday evening which was a nice bonus! Good selection of evening meals, healthy options which isn't always the case, especially in pubs. Staff super friendly, especially Jasmine who gave plenty of tips on walking routes.

Wifi was a bit patchy, but too busy enjoying the outdoors to worry too much about that!

A very well kept clean building, with lovely engaging staff and the food is a very solid 10 out of 10.

My partner said it was loud downstairs when we went to bed they had a band on I think, it was a Friday night so to myself it was to be expected. It didn't bother myself to be honest. I would come back and spread the good word on a excellent overnight stop.

I liked everything about it, from location to friendliness of staff. Also we met a few locals in the pub and they were exceptionally friendly. The room was well decorated and more importantly, spotless. Bed was comfy. Plenty of tea and coffee and hot chocolate available. All in all, excellent. If I go back to the area again, I will definitely be booking a room there.

There is nothing I didn't like. Everything was perfect.
