My daughter and I had to travel to Certaldo for a concert, an we found this lovely inn to stay at. We had such a comfortable stay, and the price was so reasonable. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed, in particular, was very comfy. The only thing missing was air conditioning, but that wasn't a problem for us. We know that you can't have everything when you want to stay in a beautiful, historic building. The outside dining area was beautiful with a fantastic view, and the breakfast was great. Freshly baked croissants, fresh fruit, coffee, juice and water. The staff was friendly and courteous. I would definitely come back if I were in the area.

The property is a very old building at the top of Certaldo Alto. As such it is the character and location that make this place attractive. The terrace views are amazing and we were made to feel very welcome. The location is lovely and it was how I always imagined Tuscany to be.

Our room was quite small with little in the way of storage space. As we were there for a wedding this made things somewhat difficult. Our friends did have a bigger room so it was probably the luck of the draw. This did really detract from our visit and is a small price to pay for being in such a wonderful location

I loved the location at the highest point in Certaldo with a breathtaking view overlooking the countryside. The courtyard where drinks and meals are served is equally spectacular. The rooms are beautiful on the first floor in keeping with the historical nature of the building and it’s a quiet location. Erik, the host, is amazing, super helpful and knowledgeable. I didn’t meet Eleonora but I sampled her artistry in the kitchen! You absolutely have to eat a meal there so creative and interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

Dead in the centre of the old town area, run by a lovely couple who do everything to make sure you have a good stay. The room was comfortable, breakfast was lovely (the view is fab) and we also ate dinner there and thought the food was wonderful. Only stayed one night but would definitely recommend to others.

It was quite warm in the room and so I could imagine in the peak of summer that might not be ideal for some people. But we found it OK for our stay. Parking is a few minutes walk down / up a large hill which was absolutely fine for us but worth mentioning for those who might struggle.

Everything was superb. The breakfast was a continental range, but the selling point was their own vegan restaurant where we ate one evening - a special treat type of meal which was excellent. The location is amazing - views spectacular, and convenient for San Gimignano and Sienna. The medieval hilltown itself has plenty of places to eat. The only issue was missing the Funiculor on arrival, so quite a climb! But the best bit was the hosts - super friendly, wanting to help, giving advice etc. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay here! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the place has character (in a good way!), it felt unique, comfortable and cozy. It added to our overall experience in Certaldo Alto and the area in general. The breakfasts were delicious, and were lucky to dine in their restaurant one evening for a delicious vegan meal. Enjoying the views and perhaps a spritz from the terrace was also enjoyable. Erik was a wonderful, kind host always available to help with anything or offer recommendations. Thank you!

if you want the total Tuscany feel this is it, perched high on a hill overlooking the Tuscan hills, this small medieval town with cobblestone streets has everything you need, several restaurants and shops in the village, breakfast is served on the patio with gorgeous views...Keep in mind this building is old, rooms are small, No AC ...I would definitely recommend staying in the cooler months... Eric was amazing always there for whatever was needed and served us a great breakfast every morning

My biggest complaint would be no AC, we were there in June so it was bearable but definitely wouldn't have been able to do it mid summer..it said they have fans but they did not ...and beds were very small and not very comfortable...

Beautiful views from the terrace, the room was comfy and the whole place was quiet.

The staff member on reception was lovely for pretty much the entirety of our stay then, 5 minutes after we left, called us and accused us of stealing a coat hanger and was fairly rude over the phone. Fortunately we were right outside and could go and show that we couldn’t have taken the hanger since it wouldn’t even fit in our bags. This incident took a lot of gloss off what was otherwise a really lovely stay. We’d have come straight back here if it wasn’t for this incident, but will now look at other properties first.

A charming, historic, lovely accommodation in Certaldo! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is so tastefully decorated with a number of sitting areas inside and out. Our bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows and cozy blankets. There were beautiful white plush towels in the washroom. The breakfast was delicious and the view was stunning. We highly recommend staying here!

Erik greeted us at the door was very professional but also had a very welcoming homely feeling, he explained everything in detail to us and any questions we had was happy to help, we decided to book on for tea time and we was not disappointed the food was AMAZING I can’t put into words how nice it was we went for the tasting menu and was not disappointed the price for this was great too, the bed was so comfy they thought about all kinds of weather we had plenty of pillows the bathroom was nice and clean and the views was something else we had breakfast included with our stay we managed to sit outside as the weather was on our side haha, again the food was outstanding…..we got pastry’s as soon as we sat down and a list of drinks and food and was told we could have anything we even order extras. we made sure we eaten everything as it was that nice also would recommend trying the jams best jam I’ve had the pastry’s was fresh like everything we had eaten whilst staying here, we even tried a wine for people who aren’t wine drinkers we ended up drinking a full bottle. we look forward to coming back big love from the UK.
