Beautiful location and plenty of space to spread out. I wish we had built in more time to relax by the pool but we had too many other activities already lined up. It was really nice to have the pool "bar" to get a drink while relaxing. The restaurant was very good as well. The staff was very kind and helpful, especially when we ran into some issues with our rental car, they were kind enough to help resolve our issue. Definitely went above and beyond to help us out!

The apartment was a little outdated, but nothing terrible. We had some tiny ant friends visiting by the front door, but I guess that's to be expected with the stone wall. Certainly did not take away from our pleasure of being there! I do wish the wifi was a bit better, only seemed to be able to connect by the kitchen window, close to the restaurant, later in the evening after most restaurant guests had left. Not a huge issue, but made it a little difficult to do work while there (which I really shouldn't have been doing anyway! LOL)

Absolutely everything from the place! My room was super cute and cosy! Georgio and his team ensured to help me with adapting my equipment to work upon arrival (had no choice but to work), they also assisted with my enquiries about the stables and they ensured to provide nice recomendations for places and leave these booked for me, so I would not have to worry about absolutely anything :). The walk to the pool made me feel in relaxed spring Tuscany, and the trattoria deffinitetely made my stomach fall in love for ever.

This is just me advising other visitors. I picked these days because I thought Tuscany would be already warm enough to get into the pool. Nope, if you are thinking the same as me, get your visit after June instead :).

The location was breathtaking with gorgeous views and lovely grounds. Our room was comfortable and beautifully appointed. We really enjoyed the food, wine and service at the restaurant and the breakfast buffet was excellent. When we were checking out, we inquired about getting a taxi into town to resume our trek on the Via Francigena. Our host, Georgio, graciously offered to drive us into town himself. When saying farewell, Georgio encouraged us to contact him if we needed anything, explaining that the staff at the Sant’llario considered their guests to continue being their guests until they reached their next destination. We were all very impressed by this sentiment.

Lovely pool (some days there were almost all sun beds/chairs taken) and surroundings. Friendly staff.

The 2-bedroom apartment was big but a bit outdated. Especially, the kitchen needs updating soon. There were no knives and some dishes were a bit dirty, the coffee machine was broken, no paper towels etc. We informed the staff of these things and housekeeping brought us knives, replaced the coffee machine etc. We received a little gift when we left because of the inconvenience.

We had a wonderful stay at tenuta sant’ilario! Everything was perfect. The view from our place was marvelous, as well as the piece and quiet in the morning. The pool was very nearby and we had the luxury to ‘have the pool to ourselves’ or to share it with only 1 group of other guests, so we really felt at ease. Unfortunately because of a last-minute cancellation of the company we booked our flight with, we lost 1 night at Tenuta Sant’Ilario (which couldn’t be payed back because it was beyond the cancellation deadline), but the hosts were so kind to give us 2 bottles of wine as a means of compensation. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it!

This place was amazing! We were traveling as four girlfriends - it was a very special trip for us and we had high expectations which were exceeded! The whole staff was great and very helpful, especially Giorgio, who welcomed us, responded to every little request and took great care of us. The restaurant was incredible too - the food was delicious and the staff made all our wishes come true! Thank you to everyone for this wonderful stay - we will certainly be back! Maybe even for a wedding! 🩷

Tenuta Sant'Ilario in Gambassi Terme is a charming boutique farm hotel nestled near the small town of Gambassi Terme, Italy. Despite the narrow roads that barely accommodate two cars, driving through the scenic Tuscan countryside was a pleasure. The hotel itself was incredibly comfortable and spotlessly clean, with a staff that was always attentive and helpful.

Daily towel service might be need in summer time.

The fact that pool and restaurant were detached from hotel by 200m. Just meant further walking when we had already walked all the way from San Miniato as part of our via Francigena walking trip. But to be fair it did add to charm. Hotel was a bit overwhelmed at the arrival of a big group of very thirsty walkers so greater stock of cold beers would have been good. Notwithstanding that they did sort it out and served us well.

Beautiful spot. Restaurant was great. Breakfast was good. Quiet. Comfortable beds. Gambessi Terme is very cute. Small. Certaldo is nearby also worth a visit.

It wasn’t clear to us that wifi was only in the common areas which was unexpected and challenging. When you checkin they tell you you can pay for extras like air conditioning, pool towels etc. feels like those things should be included. Not quite as accessible for walking as we would’ve liked. But of a trek to town. There’s no coffee or anything provided in the rooms.

Beautiful and peaceful location in amongst the Olive groves just outside Gambassi Terme in the Toscana countryside. Room was spacious and well appointed, beds super comfortable and facilities as well as the views around the estate superb. Included breakfast was great as were the meals we had in the onsite Restaurant. All staff were warm, friendly, informative and very accommodating. Thank you Tenuta Sant'Ilario team for making our short stay an enjoyable one.

We didn't book longer to enjoy more of the estate and local area.
