We didn't choose to include breakfast but the restaurant/cafe on site was beautifully appointed and did a lovely variety of breakfasts and light meals. Big portions, freshly cooked and clearly highly rated by the towns people also. The location, just minutes from Donegal Town centre and historical sites, also couldn't have been more convenient for transport links via taxi and bus to local villages and Coach services to all major Irish cities.

The on site restaurant closes at 17.00 but that encouraged us to use other local venues which really are minutes away. In doing so we passed the local pubs many of which had live music which we were then tempted to enter!

Location was good with just a short walk into town. Parking was available on the premises - which was a must for us. Rooms were clean and the staff were very pleasant.

The bedroom itself was large with a lot of empty space but the bathroom was tiny. It would have been better if the bedroom was a little smaller and the bathroom a little bigger. I would still recommend the hotel, though. Access to some rooms require you to go up some stairs though most do not. So if you have accessibility issues you need to make sure the hotel provides you a suitable room. These comments aren't really "dislikes", just observations I'm making about the hotel.

Very comfortable bed and excellent shower. Convenient location both for Donegal Town and visiting West Donegal. Really welcoming reception staff who explained access very thoroughly and was reassuring about availability of night staff also.

Not much space for luggage in room. Room is a little dark because of the overhang due to access via an external walkway. The latter might not appeal to everyone as it felt a bit exposed both from a weather and security perspective though the receptionist was at pains to emphasize the presence of staff at their desk at all times. Dark shades on admirably-placed bedside lights are too dark to be useful for reading.

What a true gem this place is! Booked it last minute with no knowledge of the area at all, but I must have the luck of the Irish because this place was perfect! Gorgeous hotel in immaculate condition with a top notch restaurant! Breakfast was delicious! Easy walking distance to all the local pubs, shops and restaurants but lovely and quiet for a good night's rest after taking in all the live music locally! Only about an hour's drive from Slieve League and it is well worth the drive to visit the cliffs! Staff was super helpful with local tips and recommendations. Lots of parking on site if you are driving and there is a lift to get your luggage up to your room (bonus!) Would absolutely recommend this place for your stay here!

Best-designed space we've ever stayed in, with extremely comfortable furnishings that compromise floor space as little as possible. You feel you are in a larger space than you are. Extra-large bed. Little touches that are well thought-out, such as a corner table, headboard-mounted bedside lamps [freeing the bedside table for other uses], and narrow shelves over the headboard and heating units that proved more useful than one would first imagine. Great shower. Three minute walk to town center. Plenty of free on-site parking. Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

The weather wasn't great but we can't put that on the lodge.

The location is perfect, minutes from city centre but in a more residential area so it's very quite at night. It has a parking if you're doing a road trip so that's very handy. The breakfast is great, the food is fresh and good quality, nice variety of options for everybody. I believe is one of best options for value you have in Donegal town.

Everything went well so I'll definitely comeback to this place if I have to. If there is any minor detail is to have more herbal teas in the room and not only black tea and coffee with the kettle.

The little rooms were great, very comfy had everything they needed. Location was amazing!! One girl on reception I didn't get her name, was so very kind and friendly. Young girl long dark hair on our check in was so thoughtful and even staff on checkout were all so friendly. Amazing Price was exceptional aswell.

A bar or the resturant opened past 5pm would be the only issue. There is a bar literally a few minutes walk which is fine for able bodied people. Those who cannot walk very far would benefit.

Easy to find on the outskirts of Donegal with plenty of parking. A very warm and informative welcome. The room was clean and comfortable. We arrived just before they finished serving food (lunch time only) but they were more than happy to make a light supper for us to eat later which they bought up to our room. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was fabulous. Such lovely people. We were travelling round Ireland and this was without doubt the best place we stayed.

Nothing but would have liked an evening meal if the food was as good as our breakfast.

We were greeted by cheery staff and this accommodation is conveniently located within a 5 minute easy walking distance to Donegal Town. It has a lift if you’re staying on the first floor and the room is spacious and clean, with excellent amenities. The restaurant at the facility is open until 5pm and the breakfasts are amazing with a wide choice of options. You won’t need to have lunch! Highly recommend.

We loved the fact that it had a "motel" look but with hotel comforts!! The room we had was spacious & had plenty of storage. The bathroom was big enough for 2 people & had ample storage for all our knic-knacs!! The location was perfect, only a 5min walk into donegal town & passed the beautiful donegal castle, which unfortunately was being renovated while we were there, but gives us an excuse to come back to see it when its finished!! The breakfast was excellent, too much choice!! The staff were so lovely, especially our waitress, sorry we didn't get her name, but she helped us decide what to have & have to say it was a great choice as it was the most delicious French toast & bacon, yum!!
