The location was perfect, there were restaurants not too far from the hotel and everything we wanted to do was no more than 20 minutes away. The hotel was very beautiful inside and out you are welcomed with a fresh backed cookie, the rooms are very spacious and clean. The staff were so polite sweet and attentive. I definitely will be coming back but I didn’t realize they charge you $25 a night for parking. I didn’t know that and was a bit taken back from it when I received my receipt with the added charges. But it’s okay now that I know I will still definitely come back with a bit more money in my pocket so I’ll be prepared for those charges next time. Other than that it was a beautiful stay. Oh and I didn’t know it was pet friendly either which I truly loved and will bring my pup next stay which I’m so excited for !

I didn’t like that we have to pay for parking when we are already paying a good amount for the hotel.

The hotel was located in an exceptional location. Close to the freeways, good dining, our entertainment, and other attractions in the general San Diego area. I have stayed here during my past two or three visits to San Diego and I will continue to patronize this hotel. I give this hotel an eight out of ten. I am truly happy with the facilities and price of staying here.

Each visit I have stayed at this hotel one of the elevators was inoperable. Each stay we have been on the third floor and waiting on an elevator has been horrible. During the early evening hours and early morning hours the wait has been horrendous. The elevator inconvenience and inconsistencies in parking prices are my only complaints. The pricing for parking is ridiculous, not to mention, I have witnessed some patrons get free and discounted rates while I was charged an over priced amount.

Staff was professional and friendly. I did get to check in 2 hours early which was a GREAT bonus! There was an incident at the pool so it had to close down until it could get cleaned out so they offered day passes to their sister hotel down the street. That was such a great accommodation versus just having sad kids not being able to go swimming.

There was only one working elevator. It made for extra long wait times for breakfast and in the evening on the way back to the room. The hotel was super busy but they were a bit understaffed to handle the load as it took a while to get toilet paper restocked.

Room was clean and spacious. Equipped with a fridge, large amount of closet space, decent sized bathroom, coffee machine and also had complimentary water bottles available. Temperature is regulated with central A/C which added comfort to stay. Also if needed, they do offer connecting rooms.

Water temp is not always warm or hot. I dislike this because when I’m ready to shower I expect for the water to at least be bare-ably warm at any given time. Also, a thing to note is that the main 2 elevators are a bit weird. They do not service on command, meaning that if even if they are ascending/descending, the elevators will continue to move in that direction, and then make its way to you (you’ll understand better once seeing them in action). What could have made this stay better is having an in room microwave, USB adapter lamps and warmer shower water at any given time.

Drinking water should be available.

The last time I stayed here was a bad experience and they really made up for it this time… Excellent customer service

I am a handicapped person and they used to comp the parking for handicap people at this location and since then they said they no longer do that. But they were kind enough to do it for me on this visit. I just wish they would go back to making that a rule of the property because it was so refreshing to have a hotel that is respectful to people who are handicapped and not charge them for parking.

We were staying in DoubleTree Del Mar second time and we really enjoyed everything there. The room was everything we needed, we loved the pool area, it was not overcrowded, just few people relaxing. The pool cleaner gave our girl pool toys that some other guests left behind, so we had a real good time. The hotel has a restaurant and bar where you can have a drink or light snack in the evening. Location was perfect for us. Lots of nice restaurants close by, Torrey Pines state beach.

Complimentary coffee in the lobby would be nice. As we were not having breakfast in the hotel, would have been nice to grab a coffee and smth light from the mini market downstairs.

It was such a beautiful hotel with amazing staff

Everything of this hotel was amazing. I would say almost 100% but next time I do need to ask if there is some sort of little league or a children's function because I booked this for relaxation. I decided to stay in the jacuzzi since the pool was full of kids but kids would jump into where I was, splashing my face none stop. I could not get upset but was disappointed since I was looking forward to this R & R time for myself.

Location, clean, decoration, room size, restaurant service and server ladies and a la carte menu.

The parking lot cost per day, didn’t see security or controlled access that make the value of $25 per night for a tight parking box with no valet parking either. Not very important but the tv guide might be programmed to East time, and many of the movies or shows were not even right.

The staff is super friendly and accomodating (shout out to Joe at their frontdesk). He takes the time to speak with his customers and every single staff member we came across with was courteous. We got there a little late (a little past 6) but it was a breeze to check in! Same night I asked my wife how she is liking the place, she gave her thumbs up! Check out wad also painless. Room was really clean and properly stashed with all that was listed on this site (coffee, mini fridge, toiletries) Not to mention steady wifi connection + pool!
