Location was great

Family room was up 4 different set of stairs and we had a pram we had to leave in the bar area. Also decor on pictures didn’t really match the actuality.

Wonderful stay at the Calypso Hotel, Albert Road. When in Blackpool, we spend little time in our room or our hotel in general but was always met with a warm reception whenever we were there. Lovely front desk staff (didn’t get the gent’s name but he was lovely and had a lovely sense of humour). Very clean room and lovely facilities at the hotel. Staff were friendly. We arrived very early and was told our room wasn’t ready until 3pm. Not a problem, as we were informed it was still being cleaned from the previous guests; this told us straight away that we had chosen the right hotel. We could see the tower from our room so it was lovely to see it as we fell to sleep and woke up. That just tells you how close we were to the promenade. Amazing value for money.

The only downside was the breakfast. It’s continental and self service. I totally get it. That might be your thing; a few more options would have been nice but not really a complaint as I know some people prefer a continental to a full English I feel bad putting it as a negative but it’s just not our thing. It’s a personal preference to be offered a hot breakfast; that’s just me being fussy. Overall a brilliant stay and would definitely come back next time we’re in Blackpool.

Staff was lovely and hotel location was perfect room was basic but a great stay nonetheless will be staying again bar drinks reasonably priced the Indian restaurant built in food looked amazing and smelled great plus reasonable priced plus guests get 20% discount when showing a room key didn't have it but we will next time we will be staying again in March

Couldn't get proper fone signal in the room and only WiFi in public areas but not to bad could have done with a better TV in the room either I couldn't work it properly or the buttons were broken and restricted the use of the TV but still managed to work it nonetheless but can't wait to stay again in March

Booked this property really last minute due to train cancellations. They let us leave our cases until it was time to check in. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was really spacious and the beds were comfy.

There was a few things that had maybe been missed with cleaning but nothing that put us off. The only thing is my daughter went for a shower and the water was so warm she scolded herself. I also burnt my arm when trying to reach in to turn it off. The bar also wasn’t very well stocked not really a lot selection.

Friendly and helpful staff. Accommodated my request for a late check out with no problem. Excellent location in the heart of Blackpool.

Was a bit disappointed with breakfast. I first searched this hotel without breakfast included, then searched again with breakfast. I chose to pay £17 a night extra to include breakfast and was quite taken aback to find it was a Continental breakfast. If I'd known, I never would have paid for breakfast.

The staff were absolutely amazing from the start of our trip to the end I’ve stayed in the Imperial and the Village far enough the rooms are a bit dated but there in the process of being done up bed clean bathroom clean the Indian next door is fantastic so are the staff who work there granted it’s not 5star but your not going to expect 5 star when your paying for 3 the staff are so so nice il come back to you friends just to see them

The amount of people who moaned just to try and get money back really not fair to do this to the staff in the hotel you pay for what you get

It was lovely atmosphere and very clean. Good location easy access to all the places in the centre. Close to central car park 5 min walk if not that. Hotel is under going a refurb but this did not our stay. The staff were very helpful and nothing was an issue all you had to do was ask. The room was just what we needed and was very clean and the bedding and bed were very comfy. Breakfast was continetal style which had a good variety and self serve but hot drinks where made fresh and brought to the table. Shame it has been swapped but when asking staff the explanation was a very reasonable one and we understood it. The breakfast had variety of cereals freah fruit juices, toast was brought to table for you. Youghurts were also on offer and a range of pre packed crosaints, pancakes and other pastries and these were nice and also tinned fruit in little glass bowls on offer too. All in all our stay was very nice and will most definateley return again.

Didnt have a lamp in bedroom but when mentioned this was corrected with out any issue.
